Eric Bischoff, one of the most successful and influential figures in pro wrestling history, wouldn't be who he is without the late, great Ted Turner ... EB himself tells TMZ Sports.

"When I first heard the news this morning," Eric explained, "I was talking to my wife, and I live in a beautiful home here in Wyoming. I look out over the mountains, up the valley into Yellowstone National Park. I live in a postcard. And I wouldn't be living here had it not been for the opportunity that Ted gave me."

That opportunity was running Turner's wrestling promotion, World Championship Wrestling (WCW) ... as Executive Producer, starting in 1993, following an internal shakeup in the company.

A California woman named Crystal Merrill is suing a Nevada man named Frank Harris, claiming they were having cybersex over Facebook Messenger in 2022 when he secretly recorded her without her knowledge or consent.

Crystal claims Frank ultimately sent the intimate visuals to her daughter via text message and email in 2023 ... and she says he then contacted her and threatened to upload the footage to Instagram, Pornhub, Facebook and TikTok.

A deadly virus outbreak aboard a cruise ship may have spread far beyond the vessel itself ... because nearly two dozen passengers reportedly wandered across the globe before health officials finally tracked them down.

According to reporting from Spanish newspaper El País, 23 passengers aboard the MV Hondius got off the ship during a stop on the remote Atlantic island of Saint Helena in April -- despite the fact people onboard had already gotten sick and at least one passenger had died.

A Spanish passenger still aboard the ship told the outlet the travelers had no clue they may have been exposed to hantavirus -- a potentially deadly disease with a mortality rate WHO reports could be as high as 40% -- when they disembarked and headed home.

Authorities carried out a search warrant Wednesday at a California property linked to Paul Flores, who was convicted in the 1996 killing of 19-year-old college student Kristin Smart.

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement the search took place in the Central Coast city of Arroyo Grande, at Paul Flores' mother Susan's property. Smart's body has never been found.

In the statement, the sheriff’s office emphasized its continued commitment to finding Smart’s remains and returning her to her family ... adding that no further details are being released at this time.
