Police sources tell TMZ that an E! camera crew is currently under investigation, and the entertainment network has provided cops with what could be Exhibit A in a criminal prosecution.

We're told on October 19, a three-person crew from E! went through a gate and entered Brad Pitt's compound in the Hollywood Hills. A construction worker noticed them and contacted Pitt's personal security, who then confronted them.

Two days after the incident, the general contractor on the job and the head of Pitt's security went to LAPD's Hollywood division and filed a criminal trespass report against the two men and a woman from E!. But here's the rub. The eyewitnesses only saw one member of the crew on Pitt's property.

But E! came to Pitt's rescue. After summarily firing the crew, we're told that yesterday E! Entertainment sent detectives a DVD with all of the video that its crew shot. Police sources say the video is incriminating.

The cops tell TMZ they will make a decision next week on whether to refer the case to the L.A. City Attorney for prosecution. We're told E! has been in touch with Brad's peeps in an attempt to settle the matter civilly, not criminally. Stay tuned.

TMZ has learned that a crew from E! Entertainment was caught Thursday allegedly committing a brazen trespass on Brad Pitt's property.

According to sources, two people from E! walked up to the back perimeter of Pitt's Hollywood Hills compound on a dirt driveway. Pitt's peeps tell TMZ that the crew unchained the gate, allegedly trespassed onto the actor's private property and began filming the exterior of his craftsman house. An E! spokesperson tells TMZ "From our initial investigation, that is not how the events occurred."

A source tells TMZ one of the construction workers spotted the E! crew and notified the contractor. The construction crew, who were visibly upset, tried to confiscate the camera, but we're told the cameraperson dove into a nearby van and locked the door. Brad's security were dispatched but the crew hastily took off.

The crew was detained by Pitt's security and released.

We're told as of yesterday Pitt intended to press criminal trespassing charges. So far, TMZ has not been able to locate a police report.

E! issued the following statement to TMZ: "E! Networks is investigating allegations that a producer and cameraman who were filming locations for a program about Brad Pitt went onto property last week that is reportedly owned by Mr. Pitt. E! Networks did not instruct or authorize anyone working on its program to improperly intrude onto private property, and the individuals involved have been terminated. While neither Mr. Pitt nor his family were at the property when the incident took place, the network in no way condones or encourages such behavior and would like to offer its most sincere apologies to Mr. Pitt and his family."

Brad and Angelina's beautiful $4 million baby was caught smiling on a stroll with her mother on a sunny day in India earlier this week. Angie clutched her child close to her chest on the walk, keeping her body covered in a sheet, though Shiloh managed to peek her head out just enough for the world to catch a glimpse of her face. For added protection, a guard ushered her through the crowd of curious onlookers the entire way.

As for the rest of the fam, Maddox and Zahara kept a close eye on their sister while trailing just a few steps behind mom.

It comes as a true shock that the superstars were even allowed back to Pune to continue filming the upcoming movie "A Mighty Heart," after the incredible amount of chaos the pair has caused there recently.

The couple created widespread panic last week in the streets when they decided to take a rickshaw ride with Maddox. Days later Brangelina's bodyguard went on the attack and choked out a paparazzo who got a little too close to the über-celebs. And if those two incidents weren't enough to put the citizens of India on their toes, the car Angelina was riding in struck a 19-year-old on a motor bike as the actress' driver tried to avoid a group of swarming paparazzi.

Brangelina decided to go native while in Pune, India and the sexy couple was overrun with fans and photogs. Their rickshaw was surrounded every time they came to a stop. We wonder if little Maddox realizes that not every family causes a near riot when they go out.

According to the 19-year-old who was struck by Angelina's car, the collision occurred as Jolie's driver desperately tried to avoid a group of swarming photogs. Angelina, however, reportedly remained cool, calm and collected following the accident, reading a book in her dinged-up ride as police investigated the scene. No one involved, including Angelina and the the biker, was seriously injured.

A security guard for the couple attacked a member of the paparazzi waiting outside their hotel on Saturday in Pune, India-- and it was all caught on tape.

After yelling at the photog, who says he was a guest of the hotel and was being considerate, the bodyguard lunged forward and grabbing him by the throat, choking him.

The photographer, Sam Ralph, says he's considering taking further action, "I haven't decided yet, I'm considering it. But yes, I'm a guest at this hotel, I have every right to be here and it would be disrespectful to take pictures inside the hotel I know they wouldn't like that, but I was outside anyway doing my job along with everyone else."

Pitt and Jolie are in India preparing for Angelina's new film, "A Mighty Heart," which begins shooting next week.

The couple decided to take 5-year-old son Maddox out for a little ride into town, except that, this being India, a massive throng of fans, photographers, cameramen, and reporters surrounded their little rickshaw every time they stopped, and a security detail in the rickshaw behind had to jump out just to keep the hordes at bay.

It all got a bit too much for the Jolie-Pitts, as they had to cut their ride short after 20 minutes. No word on their destination, but the couple is in town to shoot scenes for "A Mighty Heart," which Pitt is producing and Jolie is starring in.

Could there be trouble in the oh-so-pretty paradise that is the universe of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie? According to a report this morning, a tussle over their next child is causing a rift between the stars.

"Brad wants another child, preferably a boy – but he wants a biological boy," says a Page Six source. "He is adamant and wants her to get pregnant again right away." Angelina, on the other hand, isn't on board with that plan – she's ready to adopt again, plus the pillow-lipped actress has a profoundly busy work schedule, with at least three films in the making. The couple's brood already includes two adopted children, Maddox and Zahara, and one biological kid, Shiloh Nouvel.

Pitt's rep didn't have comment and Jolie, according to the Post, doesn't even have a rep.

Low wattage celebs like Willa Ford and Harry Hamlin are a dime-a-dozen on "Dancing with the Stars," but A-list stars like super couple Brangelina? Not a chance, right?

On Tuesday the parking lot outside the "Dancing" set featured assigned spaces with the names of contestants like Mario Lopez, Jerry Springer and Hamlin's wife, Lisa Rinna. While there's nothing unusual about that, there was one space that seemed oddly out of place -- Brad Pitt's!

Brad, who is obviously not a contestant on the ABC show, had a parking spot with a sign baring his name and the show's logo on it.

So was Brangelina going to make a surprise appearance on the C-list emporium and show off their best Paso Doble moves? Probably not.

Perhaps, like the rest of us mere mortals, they're just fans of Joey Lawrence's tango.

Hollywood's hottest couple made another public appearance last night at one of the only two things they seem to do outside their home -- art shows and flying lessons.

Yesterday's outing was no different, as they took in the view at Banksy's graffiti art show in a Downtown LA warehouse. The happy couple took time to check out the artist's show, called "Barely Legal," where a life-sized red and gold elephant is the show's main piece.

Yesterday's news of the arrest of an FBI impostor for trying to secure a job at camp Brangelina didn't seem to slow down the famous duo as they left the show holding hands, escorted by two women.

A would-be "security consultant" was arrested today for allegedly impersonating a federal agent in order to try to secure the job of being a bodyguard for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Nelson Mercado, 46, of Torrance, Calif., is accused of telling Sunset Protective Services and Investigations that he was a special agent for the Department of Homeland Security and is also accused of specifically seeking "the security contract and hourly payment to provide security services" for Brangelina, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office in LA.

She might be the sweetheart of Namibia, but it looks like Angelina Jolie doesn't quite carry the same weight in Pakistan.

A Pakistani newspaper is reporting that a production crew from Jolie's upcoming movie "A Mighty Heart" was recently caught filming scenes in Karachi and Islamabad, as well as the Pakistani countryside, without permission from the government.

"A Mighty Heart," is based on Mariane Pearl's account of the terrifying and unforgettable ordeal of her late husband, Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl.

A press minister from the government issued a statement to the Pakistan Daily Times saying, "No request by the film unit to shoot in Pakistan had been made to the embassy." He said all documentary and feature filmmakers must obtain permission and an appropriate visa from the Pakistani government before they begin shooting. Any unauthorized attempt to film without permission and without the knowledge of government authorities is "illegal and regrettable," he added. The minister said he would be making inquiries, starting today, both here and in Islamabad.

TMZ contacted Paramount, the studio producing the film. Our calls were not immediately returned.
