President Donald Trump is honoring 4x Stanley Cup champion Claude Lemieux as "one of the fiercest competitors Hockey has ever seen" following his shocking suicide.

47 posted a tribute on Truth Social Thursday evening, celebrating him as a friend to his family and a "tremendous" Trump supporter before raving about his accomplishments in the NHL.

He also directly named Lemieux's son, pro hockey player Brendan Lemieux, and applauded them both as "warriors on the ice."

Claude Lemieux, 4x Stanley Cup-winning NHL player, died by suicide, TMZ Sports has learned.

Lemieux -- who was 60 years old -- was found at the family furniture business by his adult son around 3 AM after they became concerned that he hadn't returned home. The 21-year NHL vet was located in a rear warehouse.

Former NHL star Claude Lemieux is dead at the age of 60, TMZ Sports has learned.

Lemieux -- known for his fiery and aggressive play on the ice -- spent 21 seasons in the league, playing for the Montreal Canadiens, New Jersey Devils, Colorado Avalanche, Phoenix Coyotes, Dallas Stars, and San Jose Sharks.

He won four Stanley Cups ('86, '95, '96, '00) ... and won the Conn Smythe Trophy with the Devils in 1995, awarded to the best playoff performer.

Claude played 1,215 regular-season and 234 playoff games over his two-plus-decade career, accounting for 944 points.

Lemieux was the 26th overall pick in the 1983 NHL draft.

Claude was present at the Canadiens' playoff game on Monday, carrying the torch into the Bell Centre in a pregame ceremony.

The National Hockey League Alumni Association released a lengthy statement on the tragic news, saying they were "devastated" by the death.

Claude is survived by his wife, Deborah, and their four children.

Darrell Sheets' autopsy report shows the toxicology report came back negative ... TMZ has confirmed.

We obtained the "Storage Wars" star autopsy ... which shows his blood was tested for cocaine, fentanyl, and other drugs, but ultimately officials determined Sheets had no drugs in his system at the time of his death.

Sheets was described as a "well-developed, well-nourished adult male" in the report as well. Us Weekly was first to report on the autopsy.

NASCAR legend Kyle Busch had reportedly been battling bacterial pneumonia for "days to weeks" before his death ... and his condition allegedly spiraled fatally in just 24 hours once sepsis set in.

According to his death certificate, obtained by Us Weekly, Busch's pneumonia progressed into sepsis roughly one day before he shockingly died last Thursday.

From there, the sepsis reportedly caused dangerous clots to spread through his body ... before things took an even worse turn with severe bleeding that sent his body into shock.

Matthew Perry's ex-assistant is headed to prison for helping supply the ketamine that killed the beloved "Friends" actor ... with a judge handing down the sentence Wednesday.

Kenneth Iwamasa was sentenced to 41 months behind bars after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute ketamine resulting in death in connection with Perry’s October 2023 fatal overdose.

Back in 2024, Iwamasa cut a plea deal with federal prosecutors ... they were pushing for a nearly 3 1/2-year sentence -- which is exactly what he got -- and argued Iwamasa became far more than just Perry's assistant -- allegedly acting as the actor's drug supplier and injector despite having no medical training.

Charles Cioffi, the actor best known for his work in the classics "Shaft" and "Kulte," has died.

His wife, Anne, tells TMZ ... the iconic actor, who got his start on the New York stage, died May 22 at his Marina del Rey home surrounded by family. Cioffi passed of natural causes.

The New York-born actor made his professional debut at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis before making it big in Hollywood ... appearing in several films and TV shows through his illustrious career.

Marc Johnson -- a professional skateboarder -- has died ... according to his longtime colleague.

Skateboarder Louie Barletta confirmed Johnson's passing on Thrasher Magazine's Instagram. Johnson's cause of death is not known at this time.

Johnson achieved success during the 2000s ... with Thrasher Magazine naming him its Skateboarder of the Year in 2007.

Matthew Perry’s assistant allegedly went on a ride in the late actor’s car at 4 AM shortly after the Friends star died ... this according to Perry's former friend and publicist.

Lisa Calio, who says she worked for Matthew for close to 30 years, wrote a letter to the judge set in advance of the sentencing hearing for Matthew’s longtime assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa.

Kenneth is facing years in prison for being the middleman between drug dealers and Matthew. Prosecutors claim he also injected the actor with ketamine, including on the night he died in 2023.

Pierre Deny -- who played fashion boss Louis de Léon in "Emily in Paris" -- died Monday after complications from ALS.

His daughters confirmed the sad news in a statement obtained by DailyMail, which read ... "It is with deep emotion that we announce the passing of Pierre Deny, which occurred this Monday following a sudden and severe case of ALS."

Pierre appeared in seasons 3 and 4 of the hit Netflix series, portraying the CEO of the luxury goods company JVMA.

5/27/2026 7:26 AM PT -- John Branca, the Co-Executor of the Michael Jackson estate tells TMZ ... “I am profoundly grieved at the loss of my partner and ‘brother’ John McClain. One of the great innovators in the world of music and music marketing, John was a visionary, seeing past the mundane and into the future."

He added, "When we were named in Michael’s will, I knew that he would bring great insight into Michael’s music and that his friendship and dedication to Michael would underscore all the great projects that we could bring to the world. He brought a passion and sense of conviction to all that he did and was the most generous of friends. It is difficult to imagine a world without him."

John McClain, the co-executor of Michael Jackson's estate and a veteran music executive and producer, has died ... TMZ has learned.

A rep for McClain tells TMZ ... John died Tuesday. Sources with direct knowledge tell us he had been sick for several years, though it's not yet clear whether that illness contributed to his death. We're told he passed in Malibu.

In addition to his role as co-executor of the MJ estate -- along with John Branca -- McClain produced hits for Michael, Janet Jackson, Ice Cube, and Dr. Dre.

Martin Short was concerned after he hadn't heard from his daughter in over 24 hours, so much so that he called a friend to ask them to check on Katherine ... and then she was found dead.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner just released Katherine's autopsy and it reveals how Martin helped police track her down after she went MIA ... only to find her with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

In the autopsy, obtained by TMZ, investigators say Martin asked a friend to go to Katherine's Los Angeles home, where they found a note on the bedroom door, which was locked.

Bob Horner, a legendary baseball player with the Atlanta Braves and the first overall pick in the 1978 MLB draft, is dead.

The Braves announced Bob's death Tuesday in a social media post. The cause and manner of death are unclear.

According to a new court filing, obtained by TMZ, federal prosecutors claim the former live-in assistant went into damage-control mode immediately after the "Friends" star's death -- allegedly directing another person to destroy ketamine evidence, shredding documents, and scrubbing digital records.

The feds say Iwamasa repeatedly lied to investigators, too ... first by allegedly hiding the fact he injected Perry with multiple ketamine shots on the day of his death, then later claiming Perry had hidden ketamine bottles himself.

Prosecutors say that wasn't true.
