President Trump Claude Lemieux Was One of the 'Fiercest' Players ...And a Major Supporter, Too!
President Donald Trump is honoring 4x Stanley Cup champion Claude Lemieux as "one of the fiercest competitors Hockey has ever seen" following his shocking suicide.
47 posted a tribute on Truth Social Thursday evening, celebrating him as a friend to his family and a "tremendous" Trump supporter before raving about his accomplishments in the NHL.
He also directly named Lemieux's son, pro hockey player Brendan Lemieux, and applauded them both as "warriors on the ice."

Lemieux -- who was 60 years old -- was found at the family furniture business by his adult son around 3 AM after they became concerned that he hadn't returned home. The 21-year NHL vet was located in a rear warehouse.

Former NHL star Claude Lemieux is dead at the age of 60, TMZ Sports has learned.
Lemieux -- known for his fiery and aggressive play on the ice -- spent 21 seasons in the league, playing for the Montreal Canadiens, New Jersey Devils, Colorado Avalanche, Phoenix Coyotes, Dallas Stars, and San Jose Sharks.
He won four Stanley Cups ('86, '95, '96, '00) ... and won the Conn Smythe Trophy with the Devils in 1995, awarded to the best playoff performer.
Claude played 1,215 regular-season and 234 playoff games over his two-plus-decade career, accounting for 944 points.
Lemieux was the 26th overall pick in the 1983 NHL draft.

Claude was present at the Canadiens' playoff game on Monday, carrying the torch into the Bell Centre in a pregame ceremony.
The National Hockey League Alumni Association released a lengthy statement on the tragic news, saying they were "devastated" by the death.

Lisa Calio, who says she worked for Matthew for close to 30 years, wrote a letter to the judge set in advance of the sentencing hearing for Matthew’s longtime assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa.
Kenneth is facing years in prison for being the middleman between drug dealers and Matthew. Prosecutors claim he also injected the actor with ketamine, including on the night he died in 2023.

He brought a passion and sense of conviction to all that he did and was the most generous of friends. It is difficult to imagine a world without him."
John McClain, the co-executor of Michael Jackson's estate and a veteran music executive and producer, has died ... TMZ has learned.
A rep for McClain tells TMZ ... John died Tuesday. Sources with direct knowledge tell us he had been sick for several years, though it's not yet clear whether that illness contributed to his death. We're told he passed in Malibu.
In addition to his role as co-executor of the MJ estate -- along with John Branca -- McClain produced hits for Michael, Janet Jackson, Ice Cube, and Dr. Dre.

The feds say Iwamasa repeatedly lied to investigators, too ... first by allegedly hiding the fact he injected Perry with multiple ketamine shots on the day of his death, then later claiming Perry had hidden ketamine bottles himself.
