Britney Spears' inner circle is rallying behind her after her late-night traffic stop ... and TMZ has learned they're hoping a judge chooses treatment over jail time.

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... people close to Britney want the judge to order her into a program rather than sentence her to any time behind bars after her Wednesday night DUI arrest. We're told those close to her believe this could be a pivotal moment ... one where the focus shifts to getting her help and support -- instead of punishment.

We broke the story ... Britney was pulled over by California Highway Patrol officers around 9:30 PM Wednesday in Westlake Village, CA, not far from her home. We're told she was alone in the car when officers initiated the stop.

3:10 PM PT -- Law enforcement sources are now clarifying ... cops suspect Britney was under the influence of substances, in addition to alcohol, but say there were no drugs found in her car.

The CHP press release says "chemical test results are pending" ... were told that only means they're testing her blood for drugs and alcohol.

Britney Spears may be in trouble for more than just allegations of drinking and driving ... TMZ has learned.

Sources familiar with the investigation tell TMZ ... in addition to suspicion of DUI, there was also an unknown substance found in her car, which will be part of the arrest.

We're told the substance is now being tested.

Savannah Guthrie is back at the 'TODAY' show studio for the first time since her mom Nancy Guthrie was kidnapped more than a month ago, and TMZ has the video of her emotional return.

Savannah could be seen hugging staff and crew through the iconic window of Studio 1A at Rockefeller Center Thursday morning in New York City.

The veteran newscaster seemed emotional while speaking to the assembled crew ... though we don't know what she was saying.

A 'TODAY' spokesperson tells TMZ ... "Savannah Guthrie stopped by the studio this morning to be with and thank her TODAY colleagues. While she plans to return to the show on air, she remains focused right now supporting her family and working to help bring Nancy home."

Erin Lichy's former management company won a case against their ex-client and got an award for more than $90,000 ... and, the group's now gone to a judge to make sure they get it.

Brigade Talent LLC filed documents to confirm an arbitration award Thursday ... after the company says they won a case against the 'RHONY' star ... Lichy fired the company in 2024 after 17 months, and a dispute arose over unpaid commissions.  The company says the ruling in their favor requires Lichy to hand over $91,632.28.

The company claims Erin was made aware of the final award on February 24 ... and they now want the judge to confirm it and grant the company additional interest until it's paid.

Cops took Britney Spears to a hospital immediately after pulling her over for an alleged DUI ... TMZ has learned.

Britney spent some time at a hospital early Thursday morning, because California Highway Patrol officers transported her there to draw her blood ... according to multiple sources close to Brit.

We're also told she was alone when cops pulled her over in Westlake Village ... not far from her home. She did not sustain any injuries, and the hospital visit was purely to determine her blood alcohol content.

Britney Spears was “crying” while being booked in jail for alleged driving under the influence, TMZ has learned. 

Sources tell TMZ that Britney was very emotional while being processed at the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday night. We’re told she did not act out of the ordinary ... aside from “crying a lot.” 

As TMZ first reported, the pop star was arrested for DUI Wednesday at 9:30 PM ... and later booked at 3:02 AM. She was released at 6:07 AM today.

The pop superstar was handcuffed by the California Highway Patrol around 9:30 PM last night, and she was booked by the sheriff's department around 3 AM. She was released from jail around 6 AM today, according to inmate records.

Britney was by herself when cops pulled her over in Westlake Village, not far from her home. She was taken to a hospital immediately after she was pulled over, TMZ has learned.

TikToker Riziki Ilenre's death has been ruled as a suicide, TMZ has learned.

The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences has determined the 27-year-old died by hanging herself from a ceiling fan ... and was found during a welfare check.

She had a documented history of depression and past suicide attempts, the department said in an official investigation report.

TMZ previously confirmed with the Montgomery Police Department ... they were investigating her Dec. 12, 2025 death.
