Jeff Probst says he knew he screwed something up on the live taping of the "Survivor 50" finale when the energy in the room suddenly changed ... and he's explaining how the major blunder unfolded.

The longtime "Survivor" host joined us on "TMZ Live" Thursday and broke down the mistake he made live on air, when he announced the loser of a challenge before viewers saw the results.

Jeff says he was backstage preparing for live interviews with contestants as pretaped segments aired ... he wasn't watching the live finale, and was just a little ahead in the script when he came out to talk to Rizo Velovic.

Matt Brown, one of the stars of Discovery's "Alaskan Bush People," allegedly spiraled during a disturbing YouTube livestream recently ... and now members of his family tell us this is exactly the kind of behavior that led them to distance themselves from him years ago.

Matt appeared nude and allegedly intoxicated while wandering through a public park in Washington state Tuesday, livestreaming himself as he rambled incoherently around town. At one point, he appears to be carrying a gun while continuing to broadcast live to viewers.

Now, family sources tell TMZ ... most of the Brown family cut ties with Matt roughly five years ago after late patriarch Billy Brown ultimately decided the family could no longer support him because of his ongoing alleged struggles. Matt has been public about his battle with alcohol issues.

Britney Spears took more than 3 minutes to pull over once she was hit with police lights during her DUI arrest ... and the wild moment was all captured on highway patrol cameras.

In the alarming CHP footage, obtained by TMZ, it took Brit several beats to pull over once she knew she was being stopped ... because she turned on her blinker.

In the footage, it looked like Brit had room to pull over on the side of the highway, but she kept going ... until she did finally stop -- but it sure looks like she was partially in the lane.

Bam Margera's ex is asking a judge not to change their custody arrangement ... claiming Bam's been in and out of their son's life in recent months -- and alleging in the order that he gave their son a roll-on device from his cannabis line, "BAM THC."

Nikki Boyd filed the documents in court earlier this week in response to Margera asking a judge to grant joint legal custody of their 8-year-old son, Phoenix ... telling the court that Bam hasn't been as present a father in the last six months as he's led them to believe.

Nikki's order states that Margera had 48 weekend days during which he could spend up to 4 supervised hours with Phoenix ... but she says he only visited on 7 of the 48 weekend days ... and only once stayed the full 4 hours!

Another star has weighed in on Spencer Pratt running for L.A. mayor ... and it's none other than Gabrielle Union.

TMZ caught up with the actress Wednesday as she left The Abbey's 35th anniversary party ... and of course, we had to get her thoughts on the topic that has been dominating SoCal headlines.

Trevor Bauer's first words after his $600K McLaren was t-boned ... "dude, what the f***?"

TMZ Sports has obtained new video from moments after the crash in Scottsdale on Wednesday at 2:30 PM ... and the former Major League Baseball star was clearly confused about what just happened.

The bystander at the scene walks up to the McLaren 765LT, which had just been hit on the driver's side door by a sedan moments earlier and was resting against a street pole, facing the wrong direction on a dirt path next to the road, when Trevor slides across the passenger seat and exits the exotic supercar.

Addison Rae's dad, Monty Lopez, is pulling the plug on his latest marriage ... 'cause TMZ has learned he's filed for divorce amid a whirlwind of legal drama with his wife.

According to court docs, obtained by TMZ, Monty filed for divorce from Kaitlyn Lopez on Monday. The docs say the two got married in Las Vegas on October 25, 2025, before separating less than a month later on November 15.

As TMZ first reported ... cops responded to Monty's home on April 23. Then, on April 28, Monty was arrested on a felony charge of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Just days later, Monty filed for a protective order against Kaitlyn, alleging she had a gun during a recent altercation and claiming there had been multiple physical conflicts throughout their relationship. Kaitlyn denied the gun claim and told us the situation affected her sense of safety, finances, and her ability to function.

Tiffany Haddish's Georgia DUI case is still dragging on ... but, she won a minor legal victory Wednesday when a judge ruled the results of one field sobriety test and statements she made to cops at the time can't be presented at trial.

A Fayette County Court judge ruled Wednesday that the officer who arrested Haddish incorrectly administered the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus -- or HGN -- test ... the well-known field sobriety test where an officer asks a suspected impaired driver to follow a light or finger with just their eyes.

The judge says Haddish told the officer at the time she had a lazy eye ... but he didn't ask any questions about it and administered the test without considering how it might affect the results. As such, the court found the test was not applied in a reliable manner so the results can't be used in the case against her.

Matthew Perry’s sister, Caitlin Morrison, trashed his assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, as she suggested he serve hard time in prison for his role in the late actor’s death, TMZ has learned. 

Caitlin wrote a letter ahead of Kenneth’s sentencing, saying she doesn’t have “sympathy” for the assistant. 

In her message, Caitlin said, “No matter what happens in the case, my big brother … will be dead.” 

William Davis, who was set to play football this season for Sam Houston State University in Texas after playing last season for West Virginia, died from gunshot wounds to the chest ... TMZ has learned.

Unclear if this is a homicide ... the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Virginia, where William died, tells us the manner of death is pending.

As we reported ... SHSU announced William passed away Saturday, but there had been no details on a cause or manner of death.
