'TODAY' Show Intruder Arrested ... Allegedly Hurled Slur, Lunged at Craig Melvin

3:19 PM PT -- The man who allegedly stormed NBC's "TODAY" show offices, lunged at Craig Melvin and called him the N-word is now facing a slew of hate crime charges ... TMZ has learned.

11:05 AM PT -- NBC News' TODAY tells TMZ ... "There was a security incident this morning at the TODAY show studio. An individual entered an unauthorized area in a vestibule near Studio 1A. The person approached anchor Craig Melvin, who alerted security. The individual was detained and taken into custody by law enforcement without further incident. There was no altercation, and no one was injured."

They continue ... "TODAY is cooperating fully with law enforcement as they investigate the matter. NBC and TODAY take the safety and security of our employees, talent, staff and guests extremely seriously. We are reviewing the incident and our security protocols and remain committed to providing a safe and secure environment for everyone who works at and visits our studios."

A terrifying security breach rocked the "TODAY" show Thursday morning ... a stranger breached security and stormed inside the building from the plaza before allegedly lunging at NBC host Craig Melvin.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the man was asking for Al Roker after somehow slipping past security. We’re told he couldn't find Roker and turned his attention to confront Craig in a restricted area and allegedly lunged at him while yelling the N-word at him.

We’re told the incident happened around 9 AM ET and that staff and security rushed in -- and the intruder was ultimately detained and arrested. The man, who we're told is white and was unarmed, had entered a stairwell and made his way backstage -- we're told near the dressing room, though where exactly is unclear.

Shia LaBeouf's alleged stalker told cops she believed the actor was merely a clone of himself ... and she feared he was being sex trafficked.

Sources tell TMZ ... Alyssa Couture was arrested on July 13 in New Orleans after she allegedly followed Shia to a bank parking lot, where he was with his girlfriend ... and when she was being questioned by police, she made some pretty alarming statements.

A source said Alyssa remained across the street from the bank and was seen pacing around her car while Shia was inside the bank. She claimed she was trying to close the "demon portal."

Cops arrested Alyssa after talking to her. She told officers that the celebrity Shia LaBeouf was a clone that has Shia's DNA and her DNA mixed together. Alyssa claimed Shia's clone was made in a secret lab.

Arthur Sarkissian is suing Basil Iwanyk and Basil's company, Thunder Road Films ... claiming they torpedoed a movie he spent years and a bunch of money developing.

In the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Arthur says he first teamed with Thunder Road on "The Father" and paid to rewrite the script for Yen ... but instead of producing the movie, he claims Thunder Road dangled a bigger paycheck in front of Yen for "John Wick: Chapter 4" ... killing Arthur's project in the process.

Taylor Frankie Paul DCFS Docs Allege Troubling Home Life, Therapy Issues

Taylor Frankie Paul's parenting, mental health, and home life are all being called into question by Utah's Department of Children and Family Services ... with allegations of troubling statements to caseworkers, concerns over her commitment to therapy, and parenting issues involving her children.

We broke the story ... according to a petition filed by Utah's DCFS and obtained by TMZ, the agency is asking a juvenile court to find Taylor's three children have been "abused, neglected or dependent."

According to that filing, Taylor told DCFS -- during a May 2026 home visit -- her life coach, Kari, was "the only reason she was still alive" and she wanted Kari to conduct her mental health and domestic violence assessments.

In its docs, DCFS claims it told Taylor that Kari wasn't qualified to do the assessments. During the same visit, the petition also says Taylor got upset after reading social media messages and stormed out of the home. DCFS claims she told caseworkers she wasn't suicidal, but they "should know who killed her if she ends up dead because she felt no one believes her."

'God Of War' Star Tears Bicep in Stunt, Pausing Production

The upcoming "God Of War" series hit a major snag after the show's star got injured on set ... and now production is paused.

Sources tell TMZ ... Ryan Hurst -- who plays Kratos in the video game adaptation -- tore his bicep while filming a stunt ... and the injury requires surgery.

According to sources, production was hoping to have him back on set for mid-August, but the recovery process is too long to meet that timeline.

In court docs, obtained by TMZ, FKA argued Shia’s claims that public statements she made about him harmed him are nonsense.

FKA sued Shia in 2020 for alleged sexual battery, claiming he got physical with her during their relationship and gave her an STD. Shia denied all claims of wrongdoing. The case was settled in 2025. Months later, Shia claimed FKA violated the deal by talking about him in an interview.

A splinter group within R. Kelly's camp says they're now officially in charge of the imprisoned singer's bid for clemency, but Kelly's attorney of record tells TMZ the claims are totally "unsubstantiated."

The infighting between the Kelly factions kicked off Tuesday after Kelly filed a petition to commute his 30-year sentence for sexual misconduct convictions.

In one corner, you have Kelly's Chicago-based attorney of record, Beau Brindley, and, in the other, you have Atlanta-based attorney Lela Schmidt.

Claude Lemieux's wife was concerned about his behavior in the months leading up to his death ... with officials detailing a confrontation about the late NHL star's sobriety hours before he took his own life.

Officials released the incident report on Claude's tragic death on May 28 ... in which his son, Brendan Lemieux, explained the family had noticed a change in his dad's behavior over the past year -- and they were concerned he might have relapsed after 12 years of sobriety.

When Claude's wife, Deborah, confronted him on May 27 about her concerns, the report states he acknowledged he relapsed ... and Deborah told him to leave the home at 10:30 PM.
