John Legend and Bilt are teaming up to help some ordinary people ... by paying the rent for 50 students across 4 universities.

The colleges include historically Black institutions Morehouse College, Central State University, and Wilberforce University ... and John's alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania.

The cause is near and dear to John's heart because he knows first-hand the struggle of getting your rent paid on time ... especially as a college student.

Carrot Top is making some strides in his recovery and reaching back out to loved ones ... TMZ has learned.

A source close to the comedian tells TMZ ... Carrot is now communicating and talking with his family.

The insider told us earlier ... the comedian was released from the hospital and has returned home.

In new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Citrone's attorneys say Amy Blunt -- the alleged mother of Robert's 3-year-old disabled son -- posted to her social media claiming she had won an appeal allowing her to depose Citrone, his wife, and his children.

The docs say Amy's post also referenced Citrone's wealth, claiming he was worth roughly $250 million when his children were young "compared to billions now" ... while claiming her child, Luca, had to "fight for basic needs."

Chadwick Boseman's widow, Taylor Simone Ledward Boseman, says she has been generous with the late actor's family ... despite his brothers claiming she has been less than transparent with the estate's finances.

In newly filed court docs, obtained by TMZ, Simone opposed Chadwick's brothers, Derrick and Kevin Boseman, in their attempt to remove her as the administrator of the actor's estate.

Simone claims that since 2022, she has paid over $1.7 million to Carolyn and Leroy Boseman. She says she sent them $1.5 million in May 2023, another $260K later in 2023, and over $4K in December 2024.

Joshua Jackson raised concerns about his daughter being around Jodie Turner-Smith's brother long before three women sued the actress and her bro over his alleged drug-fueled sex parties ... according to the attorney representing the women suing the siblings.

Here's the deal ... Jodie and her brother, Richard Mark Anthony Smith, were sued by three Jane Does who claim Richard pressured them into drug use and nonconsensual sexual activity.

The lawsuit also alleges Jodie knowingly provided her brother with housing, money, and other support despite his alleged behavior. Through her reps, Jodie has denied the allegations, calling them false, and claimed the lawsuit was actually filed by a man who was harassing the actress.

Now, plaintiffs' attorney Nissan Thomas is firing back in a statement to TMZ ... he claims sources close to the family told his office Joshua had concerns about Richard being around his daughter, Juno, who he shares with Jodie.

Carrot Top has canceled his Las Vegas shows for the next three weeks following a suicide attempt ... TMZ has learned.

Sources familiar with the performances tell TMZ ... the comedian's shows at the Luxor's Atrium Showroom have been called off as he continues receiving medical care.

As TMZ previously reported ... Carrot Top, whose real name is Scott Thompson, was hospitalized last Friday following a suspected overdose involving prescription pills.

Presley Gerber was dropped off at the rehab facility where he died by a friend, along with his personal coach on his team ... TMZ has learned.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Presley's team found the Santa Monica facility and arranged for him to go there. His family -- Cindy Crawford, Rande Gerber and Kaia Gerber -- had recently discussed Presley returning to treatment, but they didn't know he was going to this specific center and would never have approved of it.

As TMZ previously reported ... Presley arrived shortly after 6 PM Saturday while appearing to be under the influence of a substance.

Presley Gerber has been cremated just days after his shocking death in a Santa Monica rehab facility ... according to the death certificate obtained by TMZ.

The death certificate says Presley was cremated at the Rose Family Funeral Home. Presley is described as an entrepreneur who worked in mental health, and his ashes will be kept at Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber's Malibu mansion.

While his body has been cremated and the autopsy complete, it appears the M.E. is still waiting for test results to come back before announcing an official cause of death ... listing it as deferred and pending investigation.

Rep. Max Miller is dragging Sen. Bernie Moreno into his divorce war ... Bernie is the father of Max's ex-wife, Emily, and Max is making legal moves to get Bernie to testify ... TMZ has learned. 

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Max fired off subpoenas last week to Bernie and his wife, Bridget -- Max's former mother-in-law. 

Max wants the couple to show up and answer questions about their daughter ... and what they know about the divorce.

Bernie was almost dragged into the divorce in 2025, but Emily and Max reached a settlement, only for them to rush back to court months later over new issues. 

Legendary Hollywood stuntman James Lew spread his wealth after his death ... his will calls for the distribution of his property among friends, family, and his stuntman associates.

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Lew signed a will back in April that doles out his various gifts from his estate ... including his Primetime Emmy Award, which he gave to the Stuntmen's Association.

And while he said he was separated from his estranged wife, Jordanna, at the time of writing the will ... he still gave her his home in British Columbia.

Kyrsten Sinema says she had no clue her ex-boyfriend was still living with his wife when they first hooked up ... and the former Arizona senator wants the woman's lawsuit against her thrown out of court.

In new court docs, obtained by TMZ, Kyrsten claims she had no idea her ex, Matthew Ammel, and his now ex-wife, Heather Ammel, were still shacking up from early 2024 to November 2024 ... she does, however, admit she knew they were married and lived with their children during the early part of 2024.

As TMZ first reported, Heather sued Kyrsten in North Carolina, one of the last states with so-called "homewrecker laws" ... which are designed to allow a spouse to sue a third party for breaking up their marriage. That's exactly what Heather claims Kyrsten did.

R&B sensation Keke Wyatt allegedly threatened to put a bullet in another woman's head ... allegedly extending a gun out of her car window while shouting out warnings ... this according to her arrest warrant.

We've obtained the affidavit from the warrant that lays out law enforcement's version of events leading up to Keke's arrest earlier this week ... with an officer claiming they were dispatched to an area in Georgia on September 20 regarding an alleged domestic disturbance.

According to the docs, the incident apparently went down between two people during a custody exchange ... with cops saying Keke was also there, but wasn't one of the two people involved in the exchange.

Cops say a witness told them they saw a fight break out between the two people ... before Keke allegedly pulled out a black 9mm Beretta and pointed it through the window of the car.

Carrot Top was informed that allegations of sexual misconduct were coming out about him around an hour before he attempted to take his own life ... this according to a police report.

According to the report, obtained by TMZ, cops got a call from medical dispatch about a suicidal male at Carrot’s Las Vegas home on September 18 at 4:21 PM. Officers say they arrived on scene and found the comedian in the backyard by his pool. The report says he was breathing but was unconscious.

Cops say Carrot’s manager told cops that he had told the entertainer about an article that came out with claims that he was sexually inappropriate.
