Tom Brady and Alix Earle sparked plenty of buzz about a possible hookup or romance during a night out in St. Barths, but despite the flirty visuals ... TMZ has learned there was no hookup.

TMZ broke the story ... video we obtained shows the former NFL superstar and the social media influencer leaning in to whisper something in Tom's ear while caressing his back. Her hand lingered long enough to get people talking, especially with drinks flowing and the party in full swing.

But sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... the moment was nothing more than drunk, flirty fun at the party. We're told Tom and Alix talked, danced, and flirted on the dance floor, and that's where it ended. No hookup, no late-night rendezvous. In fact, we're told it was the first time they had ever met.

Ashley Tisdale admits she's bailed on a toxic mom friend group she slipped into ... a clique that might have included some seriously big celeb names like Hilary Duff, Mandy Moore, and Meghan Trainor!

4:01 PM PT -- The White House is denying a report in the Wall Street Journal that President Trump's Mar-a-Lago spa in Florida used to send teenage workers to pedophile Jeffrey Epstein's Palm Beach mansion.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt tells TMZ … "It's shameful the Wall Street Journal is wasting their once great paper writing up fallacies and innuendo in order to smear President Trump and distract from his historic first year back in office."

Leavitt adds ... "No matter how many times this story is told and retold, the truth remains: President Trump did nothing wrong and he kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago for being a creep."

She continues ... "Now, it's President Trump’s own Justice Department that is releasing hundreds of thousands of pages of documents related to Epstein and his crimes."

Donald Trump's ties to Jeffrey Epstein may be even worse than previously thought ... according to a new report from The Wall Street Journal.

The WSJ says DT's Mar-a-Lago spa in Florida would send teenage workers to Epstein's mansion, despite it being an open secret among the staff that the billionaire would sometimes expose himself during appointments.

According to the publication, the practice stopped in 2003 when an unnamed 18-year-old employee complained that Epstein "pressured her for sex."

Video from U.S. Dept. of Justice appears to show Jeffrey Epstein attempting to commit suicide in his jail cell ... and the footage is graphic.

There's a date on the video -- August 10, 2019 -- from the day he was found dead in his cell in Manhattan as he awaited trial on federal sex trafficking charges. The video also says "J Epstein" in the bottom corner.

The DOJ began releasing the Epstein Files last Friday, and this video looks like it's been added to the document dump.

Actress Lilah Pate is firmly in her dad Jonas' corner following accusations he grabbed and shook a female production assistant on the set of "Outer Banks."

TMZ broke the story ...
