President Trumpisn't shedding any light on Mitch McConnell's condition ... because he says he's just as much in the dark as everyone else.
Trump was asked about the longtime Kentucky senator's health Tuesday aboard Air Force One while traveling to Joint Base Andrews ... and his response couldn't have been much shorter.
"I have no idea. I have no idea how he's doing," Trump told reporters.

The daughter of late politician John McCain took to X on Tuesday, asking McConnell's staff to share updates about the 84-year-old senator's wellbeing after he was reportedly found unconscious last month and rushed to the hospital.
Meghan says the cone of silence surrounding McConnell is "unseemly, macabre, bad for democracy and quite frankly embarrassing for the country."
Last week, a spokesperson for McConnell told TMZ ... the Senator from Kentucky was improving and was "working closely with his staff on Kentucky and Senate matters while the Senate is out of session."
Mitch is not dead, we think ... but the actress certainly seems to think so if you look at her TikTok post addressing the Senator saying, "They're keeping him alive like 'Weekend at Bernie's.'"
The era of fearing politicians is clearly over ... because Rinna just couldn't stop herself from uploading the brief but brutal clap at the 84-year-old Senator.
Jacobgot Greene in NYC Tuesday, and she went scorched earth on just about everyone in D.C. ... claiming Senator McConnell was brought back from the dead in mid-June when he was found unresponsive at his home. He's been in the hospital ever since and Greene says he's a "vegetable."
Greene says shame on McConnell's family for not triggering a resignation, and she is apoplectic over his wife's decision to be in China to meet with its Vice President when the Senator was rushed to the hospital. Although Greene says Chao left her husband's bedside for her visit to China, Chao was already in China and did not rush home because of her husband's medical emergency.
Greene flat-out calls Chao, Trump's former Transportation Secretary, a Communist Spy, and calls Republicans hypocrites for not calling her out.
Marjorie Taylor Greene says hospitalized SenatorMitch McConnell is a "vegetable" ... but a well-known conservative commentator begs to differ, claiming he spoke to McConnell about major political topics.
Scott Jennings -- a contributor to CNN and the Los Angeles Times who worked in President George W. Bush's administration back in the day -- clapped back at MTG in a social media post Tuesday ... claiming they chatted for almost 20 minutes.
Jennings claims he talked to McConnell about Iran, Ukraine, a sexual assault scandal in Maine, the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library and more.
Mitch McConnell's health saga is continuing to fuel questions in Washington ... and now, one of the people closest to him has suddenly gone silent online.
Porter McConnell-- the eldest daughter of the former Senate Majority Leader -- appears to have deactivated her X account as speculation about her 84-year-old father's condition continues to swirl. The account had long been active ... with Porter frequently criticizing both her father's politics and the Republican Party.
The move comes as McConnell remains out of public view following the tight-lipped medical emergencythat landed him in the hospital last month.
Mitch McConnell's medical scare last month was way more serious than first disclosed ... the senator was reportedly found unconscious before he was rushed to the hospital.
McConnell lost consciousness at his home in Washington, D.C., on the morning of June 14 after a 911 call was made ... TMZ can confirm.

Mitch McConnell has been hospitalized again ... and his team is keeping the details close to the vest.
The former Senate Majority Leader's spokesperson, David Popp, released a brief statement Sunday ... announcing McConnell was taken to the hospital this morning.
The 83-year-old Kentucky Republican was hospitalized Monday night after experiencing flu-like symptoms over the weekend, his office said. According to a spokesperson, McConnell checked himself into a local hospital out of "an abundance of caution" to be evaluated by doctors.
The good news here is his camp says his prognosis is positive. "He is grateful for the excellent care he is receiving," the statement read, adding that McConnell has remained in regular contact with his staff and is already looking forward to getting back to work in the Senate.

Mitch has had his fair share of health concerns in the past ... including abruptly freezing in front of the camera multiple times like he did in this video from July 2023.
Senator Mitch McConnell has the green light to return to work after his second time freezing up in front of reporters, but this time doctors think they know what's causing it.
According to a statement from Dr. Brian P. Monahan, 81-year-old McConnell was consulted and the doc talked with his neurology team, with Wednesday's evaluation determining, "he is medically clear to continue with his schedule as planned."
Monahan continues, "Occasional lightheadedness is not uncommon in concussion recovery and can also be expected as a result of dehydration."
The checkup comes on the heels of the Kentucky legislator talking to reporters Wednesday in Covington -- he was asked about the possibility of running for office again, which was when he took a long pause and appeared to zone out.
Even after aides walked up to help him, he continued to appear frozen. His camp later said the Senator "felt momentarily lightheaded" and would be "consulting a physician prior to his next event."
The same thing went down last month while on Capitol Hill, as McConnell stopped dead in his tracks, mid-sentence.
July's incident didn't come with a medical evaluation -- not one that was publicly announced, at least -- so, the doctor's remarks this time certainly start to connect the dots.
Sen. Mitch McConnell's spokesman says, "Leader McConnell felt momentarily lightheaded," and that's why he paused.
However, one of McConnell's aides says although the Senator "feels fine" now, he will be "consulting a physician prior to his next event."
Senator Mitch McConnell froze yet again mid-sentence while addressing the media -- marking a second frightening episode like this that he's suffered in public.
The Kentucky legislator was talking to reporters Wednesday in Covington, KY, addressing a Chamber of Commerce matter and seemingly doing fine ... that is, until he wasn't. When a reporter asked him about running for reelection, he took a long pause.
Much like he did a month ago on Capitol Hill ... Sen. McConnell just stood there quietly, and appeared to zone out. Eventually, one of his aides stepped in and asked if he heard the question ... but he didn't even respond to her, only staring out into space and remaining frozen.
The aide asked the media for a moment of privacy, and that's where the video cuts out.
Obviously, this is deja vu -- and many suspect he might have experienced a medical episode ... although, the first incident was never officially described as such by his team. Now, there are almost certainly going to be even more questions and scrutiny over his health.
Remember, Sen. McConnell also suffered a nasty fall earlier this year that saw him hospitalized for a time. At the moment, he's the top-ranking Republican in the Senate.
Sen. Mitch McConnellis insisting he's fine, but an odd moment in the middle of a news conference says otherwise ... as the Senate Minority leader stopped talking mid-sentence, and stood still as a rock at the podium.
The Senator was speaking to reporters Wednesday on Capitol Hill when he suddenly stopped talking and stared blankly ahead. After more than 30 seconds of standing still without blinking or opening his mouth ... he was escorted off camera.
The 81-year-old Kentucky lawmaker later returned to the podium to answer questions from reporters, and addressed what had just happened to him, saying ... "No, I'm fine."
While it's unclear what happened to Mitch here, it's worth noting he was hospitalized back in March after tripping and falling at a Washington D.C. hotel, and was treated for a concussion. He denied the fall having anything to do with today's incident.
CNN's Manu Raju says one of McConnell's aides told him the Senator was feeling "light-headed," and stepped aside for a moment.

McConnell's condition was not disclosed, nor were specifics about the fall, but he was not admitted to the hospital for observation ... he was admitted for some sort of treatment.
The Kentucky lawmaker had a similar accident in 2019 when he tumbled to the ground at his Louisville home and fractured his shoulder.
McConnell is the nation's longest-serving Senate Republican leader. He was first elected to the Senate in 1984 and served as majority leader from 2015 to 2021.
