Deion Sanders is opening up on the health issue that has kept him away from the University of Colorado football team ... assuring fans "everything is OKAY," and he'll return soon.
The Buffaloes head coach released a statement on social media a day after his son, Deion Jr., revealed Prime was missing the team's summer camp ... and shared his gratefulness for all the love and support he's received.
"Wow, I am truly blessed for the abundance of well wishes, for all the thoughts, and all of the prayers. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!" Sanders said.
Wake Forest Baseball Coach Apologizes For Homophobic Outburst
Wake Forest baseball coach Tom Walter is owning up to hurling a homophobic slur during Monday's game against Tennessee ... saying his words do not reflect his character.
Walter was caught on camera seemingly referring to someone as a "f***ing f****t" as he stood in the dugout ... right before a Volunteers player hit a two-run homer.

DeAngelo Miles, a high school football standout and team captain, was fatally shot in Chicago this weekend ... just days after graduation.
The Chicago Police Department says it received a call regarding a person shot at the 11900 block of S. Wallace on Sunday around 3 AM ... and when officers arrived, a witness stated they had located a teen in the alley after hearing gunshots.
"The witness relocated to where the victim was and discovered the victim unresponsive on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head," the CPD spokesperson told us.

Wrestling superstar Kyle Snyder -- who won gold at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games -- was arrested last week as part of a prostitution sting, police said Monday.
According to the Columbus Police Dept. in Ohio, Snyder responded at around 8:15 PM on May 9 to a fake internet ad that law enforcement had posted in an effort to catch people looking to illegally pay for sex.
Cops allege Snyder set up a date with an undercover agent at a nearby hotel ... and when he showed up less than half an hour later, he forked over cash and requested oral sex.

Alijah Arenas' Cybertruck ended up wrapped around a tree in an L.A. suburb early Thursday morning -- and the cause is still a mystery -- but investigators do NOT believe alcohol or drugs were a factor.
TMZ Sports spoke with our law enforcement sources ... and we're told LAPD didn't observe any signs of intoxication at the scene, just moments after the 18-year-old 5-star recruit was pulled from his burning vehicle around 4:55 AM.

The Los Angeles Police Department was on the scene of the 5 AM crash, which occurred along a two-lane residential roadway in the Winnetka neighborhood of the San Fernando Valley, in a 40 MPH zone.
18-year-old Alijah was alone in the Cybertruck -- owned by his father, ex-NBA star Gilbert Arenas -- at the time of the accident ... which was a single-vehicle wreck.

Jeremiah Kelly -- a freshman offensive lineman for the University of Cincinnati football team -- died unexpectedly Tuesday morning at his Ohio home.

Todric McGee College Football Player Dead at 21 ... Suspected Accidental Shooting
A college football player in Missouri has died ... and cops say they suspect an accidental gunshot wound was the cause.
Todric McGee -- a four-year player at Missouri State -- was hospitalized Friday after injuries sustained at his residence, according to the Missouri State Athletic Department.
The Springfield Police Department tells TMZ ... they received a call about a wellness check Friday morning -- arriving on scene to find a man later identified as McGee, who they believe sustained a "possible accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound." We're told he was transported to the hospital, where he passed away from his injuries Saturday.
