TMZ Sports caught up with Eric Dickerson out at LAX this ... and we had to ask about the rumors that A.D. could dust off the helmet for another Super Bowl run with Los Angeles after acquiring Garrett from the Cleveland Browns earlier this month.

While he claimed he'd LOVE to see 35-year-old Donald put on that No. 99 jersey again (who wouldn't?) ... E.D. kept it real and said it's in his best interest to keep his ass on the couch on Sundays.

New details surrounding Aldon Smith's sudden death are coming to light ... with the reports the former NFL star was found unresponsive inside a truck shortly before he was pronounced dead Saturday.

Smith had spent part of the day with friend Amir Shirazi, helping deliver pizzas to a local homeless outreach organization in the Bay Area before running several errands together, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

However, after returning to Shirazi's home in Los Gatos, the day took a devastating turn. Shirazi told the Chronicle he briefly went inside the house, only to return and find Smith slumped over in the front passenger seat of a pickup truck.

A video of Aldon Smith getting a haircut just days before his death has surfaced online, showing the former NFL star in a reflective mood during a routine barbershop visit.

In the clip, Smith is seated in the barber’s chair as he chats casually with his barber. At one point, he mentions he’s "had better days," but doesn’t go into detail when asked further.

Smith appears hesitant to elaborate, saying he’s been dealing with something he’s "had to deal with" his whole life, and noting he’s currently struggling with how things are unfolding, without providing specifics.

Aldon Smith -- the former NFL star whose dominant pass-rushing ability made him one of football's most feared defenders -- has died. He was 36.

Smith died Saturday morning ... but details surrounding his death were not immediately available.

The San Francisco 49ers confirmed the news in a statement ... saying they were "devastated by the sudden and tragic passing" of the former first-round pick. The team remembered Smith's remarkable talent, standout rookie season and the infectious smile that "lit up every room he walked into."

Former NFL star Andre Rison is spending the weekend in jail ... after being booked in Michigan to serve time tied to a second-offense impaired driving case, TMZ has learned.

The Oakland County Jail tells TMZ the ex-wide receiver was booked into custody on Friday night and is scheduled for release Sunday.

Court records obtained by TMZ show Rison pleaded guilty to a second-offense operating while intoxicated charge stemming from an August 2025 incident in Troy, Michigan.

Henry Ruggs isn't getting out of prison anytime in the near future -- the former Las Vegas Raiders star receiver was denied parole at a ruling on Thursday.

Ruggs is serving up to 10 years behind bars as a result of his November 2, 2021 accident ... when he sped at 156 MPH and crashed into 23-year-old Tina Tintor, killing the woman and her dog. Officials said his blood-alcohol concentration read at .16 within two hours after the tragedy.

Ruggs ultimately pleaded guilty to felony DUI causing death and misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter and was handed the lengthy sentence in 2023.

Ruggs went before a parole board himself back in May ... and his attorney, David Chesnoff, praised how he had been using his time in prison by leading his fellow inmates in cardio classes and sharing his story.

Alaric Jackson's alleged domestic violence victim says she pleaded with the Rams star not to hurt her because she was pregnant, but claims he coldly responded, 'I don't give a f***' while roughing her up during an argument earlier this week.

Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to a home in L.A.'s San Fernando Valley on Monday around 11 PM after cops were called to the scene.

Police determined, according to NBC L.A., which broke the story, Jackson was initially in a verbal argument with a woman over her allegedly filming him with her phone.
