Matt McConaughey Rides On

Published | Updated

What is it about Matthew McConaughey that's so hot? Well, it definitely helps that he's been spotted a lot lately riding a bike on the beach in skimpy spandex shirts.

Riding your bike at the beach in Malibu seems to be the new diet craze in Hollywood and TMZ caught up with McConaughey doing just that after taking a long ride near his beach front home.

Matt was riding with two friends, and no, it wasn't Jake Gyllenhaal and Lance Armstrong. The Malibu local kept his buddy Lance close to his heart though by sporting Nike "LiveStrong" spandex and a yellow bracelet.

The group piled in his black SUV and retreated back to Matt's where they parted ways.

Packed House At Hyde

Published | Updated

TMZ's cameras were outside the packed club Hyde in Hollywood on Wednesday night where it was a star studded event.

We spotted one of TMZ's favorites, Rachel Bilson, who was seen going into the trendy club. "The OC" star looked stunning (as usual) and seemed to be in quite a hurry as she passed right by autograph seekers and desperate paparazzi.

We also ran into Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst, DJ AM, Ashlee Simpson, Kelly Osbourne, and funny lady Fran Drescher.

Kirk Douglas: New King of the Late Night Scene?

Published | Updated

TMZ hit the streets for a star-studded Tuesday night, hitting up all the celebs' favorite spots to bring you another exciting edition of Star Catcher.

Our first stop for the night was Il Sole, a popular restaurant on Sunset Blvd., where we caught up with Courteney Cox and David Arquette. The two picked up their car from the valet, giving our cameraman a quick hello on the way.

From there we were off to Mr. Chow where we met up with Ludacris, aka Chris Bridges. The multi-platinum-selling rapper and "Hustle & Flow" star looked a little different than usual -- he cut off his cornrows and was sporting a freshly cut 'do.

Also on hand was legendary actor Kirk Douglas, still taking time out to sign autographs for fans.

We completed our night at always-hopping Hyde, where we ran into Mary-Kate Olsen, adult film star Ron Jeremy (wondering where Paris Hilton was), Incubus lead singer Brandon Boyd and "CSI's" Adam Rodriguez.

Lindsay's Armed Shopping Escort

Published | Updated

Lindsay Lohan spent some time on trendy Robertson Blvd. in Los Angeles Tuesday afternoon shopping at the clothing boutique Vionnet -- all while the paparazzi caught her every move on tape.

During her shopping trip, her new BFF, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy, entered the shop and had a word with the girls before heading outside to sit on his motorcycle and fend off the photographers.

The deputy warned photogs to "move out of the way and let them walk" before finally threatening them by saying, "Get out of the street. I'm gonna start writing some tickets and you're not gonna like me."

Before driving off, Lindsay showed her approval for the police officer's help by yelling, "I love you, Tony."

Chad Muska Goes Wild

Published | Updated

Pro skater and DJ Chad Muska ran into a problem with the bouncers at Hyde last night.

Turns out Chad had been escorted out of the club for being drunk. Chad's friend brought him his backpack while Chad waited outside. When the friend forgot to bring him his needles for the record player Chad attempted to re-enter the club. That's when the bouncer picked Chad up like a sack of potatoes and a scuffle ensued.

The police showed up and Chad insisted he didn't know why the bouncer assaulted him, while the bouncer insisted Chad assaulted him first.

Harrelson Won't Face Felony Charges

Published | Updated

Woody Harrelson will not face felony charges in connection with an incident involving TMZ cameraman Josh Levine outside a Hollywood nightclub last month, according to Los Angeles County prosecutors. The matter will now be referred to the City Attorney's office for review.

On the evening of June 29, Levine approached Harrelson outside LA nightclub Element and, as video footage showed, Harrelson made contact with Levine's camera and grabbed the cameraman's neck with one hand. Levine suffered a laceration as a result of the physical contact, and his camera was damaged.

Deputy District Attorney Alisanne Scolnik Augusta wrote that the incident "doesn't reveal a clear intentional breaking of the camera by the suspect" and that "the force used is not to the level that would cause great bodily injury" in her explaining her decision not to pursue the matter further.

Roses Are Red and Lindsay Is Too

Published | Updated

It was another crazy night in LA as TMZ's cameras and our very own Josh Levine were all over the place to catch all the action.

Lindsay Lohan was out and about last night at Guys, a trendy little hotspot in Hollywood. The red-headed starlet was seen leaving the club with new boyfriend Harry Morton setting the paparazzi into a flashbulb frenzy. The couple, along with a fairly large entourage, piled into the actress' SUV before speeding off.

We were also out side of celeb favorite Mr. Chow restaurant and caught up with late night funny man Conan O'Brien and Dustin Hoffman, who did a little bit of camera dodging.

Also on hand Nicole Richie, UFC champion Chuck Lidell, adult film star Jenna Jameson and someone that we haven't seen for a while, "John Tucker Must Die" star Jesse Metcalfe.

All this and much much more in today's action-packed version of Star Catcher.

Nick and Vanessa Were Asking For It

Published

You gotta love Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo captured by paparazzi as they shared a romantic moment. Gee, ya think they might have wanted the attention?

Nick Lachey sitting in plain view in an outdoor cafe in Manhattan with a woman who is aggressively making a move on him. Minnillo was clearly salivating more at the prospect of getting photographed than getting kissed by Nick. The MTV VJ has gotta know that the woman who preceded her (Jessica) did pretty well on Nick's arm. Not to say he's being used, but on the other hand....

I get that celebs don't want cameras in their business at home or in other private places. But you go to restaurants frequented by others stars and sit in plain view of the paparazzi -- do you really think they don't want to be photographed? It would be so uncool for them to look excited that the flashbulbs are going off and the cameras are rolling tape. So they act as if they're put out -- that's the cool thing to do.

Everyone who knows Nick tells me he's a really nice guy. It's not a crime to want attention from the media; indeed, that's his business -- preserving his celebrity. I do, however, feel a bit sorry for him that he's got a big ol' sticker on his forehead that reads "use me" to any number of woman who see the value in being photographed with Nick.

Exclusive: D.A. Will Decide Harrelson's Fate

Published | Updated

TMZ has learned the L.A. County District Attorney is in the process of deciding whether to prosecute Woody Harrelson over an altercation with a TMZ cameraman.

The incident occurred on June 30 on a public street outside a Hollywood nightclub. Harrelson became irritated with Levine and asked him to stop shooting. When Levine continued to roll, Harrelson walked over to him, put his hand on the camera and again asked Levine to stop. Levine responded, "All I'm doing is my job." After another exchange, Harrelson broke the camera.

A second video, obtained by TMZ, shows Harrelson then grabbing Levine by the neck, causing a laceration.

We're told the LAPD interviewed Harrelson Monday and then referred the case to the D.A. later in the day. Shortly after the incident, an LAPD Detective John Padilla told TMZ "With the tape and all, it's pretty good evidence."

The D.A. could file vandalism and assault and battery charges against Harrelson or reject the case and refer it to the L.A. City Attorney for possible misdemeanor prosecution.

Not Your Usual Suspects Star Catcher

Published | Updated

TMZ was out on the town Monday night and we ran into a couple of unusual suspects.

Our very own Josh Levine spotted Oscar-nominated Leonardo DiCaprio at Hyde, a trendy little joint located on Sunset Blvd., trying to make a stealth exit out the back door. The talented actor dressed very casual for his evening out, sporting a baseball hat and white tee.

Our cameras were also at celebrity favorite Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills, where we ran into the very talented Quentin Tarantino. The "Kill Bill" director showed up for a bite to eat, but not before stopping to pose for the paparazzi and autograph seekers.

Matt's Friends Are Sick of the Paparazzi

Published | Updated

Matthew McConaughey just can't seem to do any physical activity without the paparazzi catching his every movement on tape, and this past Sunday was no exception.

Hard-body McConaughey was out jogging on a strip of Malibu beach as multiple photographers were on hand. During Matt's workout his friends didn't approve of the constant snap shots of their famous friend and took matters into their own hands by targeting a paparazzo and launching water balloons as the man armed with a camera retreated down the beach.

Unfortunately for Matt's buddies, the water bomb campaign was in vain as most of the balloons broke before they were launched in the air.

Can Brad Balance Pampers on His Chopper?

Published | Updated

Brad Pitt's sweet ride of choice has always been his motorcycle. It doesn't seem like parenthood is cramping his style.

Brad was caught on tape near the Santa Monica Airport Friday when he pulled over to take a phone call. Was he talking to his agent about "Oceans 13," in production right now? Probably not. It was probably Angelina reminding him to pick up Pampers and baby wipes and get back to the love shack, stat!

Stars Are Blind And They Can't Drive Either!

Published | Updated

Your average celebrity is capable of doing a multitude of things: star in a blockbuster film, release a number one album... or maybe even both! But it seems like for all their "star powers" they seem to lack one essential skill (at least if you live in Hollywood) - they can't f'n drive!!!

Not to make light out of potentially harmful incidents, but seriously, what is going on in Tinseltown? With the recent incidents of Daniel Baldwin and Haley Joel Osment, it made us think back to some other recent celebrity car mishaps, a lot of which were caught on tape.

The Lohan Family
Like father, like daughter. Michael Lohan escaped death after crashing his car into a pole and it burst into flames. He had been driving with a suspended license at the time and had a blood-alcohol level nearly double the legal limit. Check out the video of his charred Volvo - hard to believe he walked away unscathed.

And his daughter has been involved in not one, but two vehicular mishaps. In the second one, Lindsay crashed her Mercedes on Robertson Blvd. in a trendy area of Los Angeles - and right near celebrity hotspot the Ivy. After the crash, Lohan ran into the nearby Hideaway House Antiques shop to hide from the paparazzi. While plenty of photogs were on the scene, as one eyewitness would tell TMZ, they were not responsible for this accident.
