Jason Oppenheim is sounding off on federal prosecutors' latest allegations against Sean "Diddy" Combs, saying the indictment makes it sound like it's illegal for men to lavish significant others with expensive items.

Check it out ... the "Selling Sunset" boss said his piece on Friday's "TMZ Live" -- which he co-hosted -- and questioned the case against the mogul, specifically the feds' claim Diddy provided 3 women money to cover their living expenses, and gave them career opportunities.

Jason says that sounds like prosecutors are "criminalizing half the relationships in Hollywood" ... because that's just what rich men in showbiz tend to do for GFs. He says it sounds like the prosecutors' case is pretty "thin," if that's all they have.

Nicole Young isn't currently "Selling Sunset" ... the real estate agent has been put on pause from the show ... TMZ has learned.

Production sources tell TMZ ... Nicole's future on the Netflix series remains in limbo after she was abruptly put on ice from filming in the middle of season 9 late last year.

We're told the decision comes after Nicole's continued drama with rival Chrishell Stause ... and other members of the cast.

"Selling Sunset" star Chelsea Lazkani may be heading into the holidays a single woman ... if a judge signs off.

In new California court documents obtained by TMZ ... the real estate agent and her estranged husband, Jeff Lazkani, made it clear they were in agreement on being declared single by the court while they continue to work out their divorce settlement.

The estranged couple filed docs Monday and are set to appear before a judge later on Tuesday ... indicating they're one John Hancock away from putting their marriage behind them.

Davina Potratz is chiming in on the ongoing "Selling Sunset" drama between Chrishell Stause and Nicole Young, as the two are filming together again despite Chrishell’s past claims she wouldn’t return to the show if Nicole did.

We got Davina out in Beverly Hills on Monday where she told us she wasn’t surprised by Chrishell’s return, saying it aligns with the show’s drama-filled theme.

She says she questions Chrishell’s threats in September to quit the Netflix show if producers brought back Nicole, saying she feels they were empty threats and possibly a grab for headlines in the press.

Sources connected to the show tell TMZ ... Chrishell and Nicole are currently filming season 9 of the hit house-selling show after Chrishell said publicly in September that she wouldn't come back to the show if Nicole returned.

She later amended her statement ... saying in an interview she'd come back if the production team would "add a zero" to her check -- but, still it seemed unlikely the two would share the screen again.

Chelsea Lazkani's estranged husband wants a judge to legally end their marriage ... saying the couple hasn't come to a divorce settlement, but he's ready to move on with his life.

Jeff Lazkani -- in the midst of a messy divorce with the "Selling Sunset" star -- filed a motion to officially terminate his union with Chelsea ... saying the two haven't been able to come to a settlement in the seven months since CL filed for divorce.

Lazkani says proceeding to bifurcate status will help streamline the divorce ... a case which can take many years to finalize.

Jason Oppenheim confirms he was duped alongside "Selling Sunset" fans when newcomer Alanna Gold claimed she owned Pioneertown ... but he's already forgiven the realtor.

We caught up with the Oppenheim Group boss in Los Angeles, where he told TMZ that he had no clue the season 8 new addition didn't actually own the western town in Yucca Valley, California, like she claimed on the show.

Rather, he learned the truth when Pioneertown spoke out to dispute Alanna's false claim.

"Selling Sunset" newbie Alanna Gold has apologized to the tiny California community of Pioneertown ... after falsely claiming on the Netflix show's newest season she owned the place ... TMZ has learned.

In a note apologizing to the residents of Pioneertown, seen by TMZ, Alanna says she’s super sorry for the mix-up, admitting she definitely doesn’t own Pioneertown ... and definitely didn't mean any harm by making the claim.

Alanna clarified she got a bit carried away on the show because she’s just so in love with Pioneertown -- it’s where she had her first date with her husband, and they even tied the knot at the historic Soundstage.

Jason Oppenheim is opening the door for Christine Quinn to come back to his Netflix show "Selling Sunset" ... saying he's down with her returning, but the buck doesn't stop with him.

We got Jason in L.A. Thursday -- and our photog asked him if a recent reunion with Christine and other cast members is a sure sign she's gearing up to make a 'Sunset' comeback.

Jason tells us he would welcome Christine back with open arms and has no hard feelings ... but explains it's not his decision, rattling off the list of folks who would have to sign off on such a big move.
