Savannah Guthrie No Decision on 'Today' Return: Sources

Savannah Guthrie has not indicated she's made a decision about whether or not she will return to "Today," TMZ has learned.

Our insiders say her return -- or departure -- from the morning news program is still an open question ... and there is no timeline for if or when she is coming back. We're told NBC is being cautious not to pressure her.

Meanwhile, sources at NBC tell us the show is "fully supportive" of a potential return, adding ... "It’s just a matter of when she feels ready."

Former A&E personality Tony McCollister -- who is charged with raping a child and having sex with two dogs -- says he's not guilty by reason of insanity ... and he wants to get his head checked.

McCollister is facing 26 felony charges related to sex with a minor under the age of 10, plus 4 misdemeanor counts of sexual conduct with an animal ... and on Thursday, he entered his plea and filed a motion asking the court to order an evaluation of his mental state at the time of the alleged crimes.

In Ohio -- where McCollister is charged -- a defendant must prove they did not know right from wrong at the time of the crime to be considered not guilty by reason of insanity.

'The Kelly Clarkson Show' NBC in the Pink? Network Considering Singer for New Talk Show Host

NBC is not in the business of squandering a key time slot in the wake of Kelly Clarkson's departure ... and TMZ has confirmed the network is taking a "hard look" at Kelly's replacement this week -- namely, Pink.

As one source connected to the show tells TMZ ... "Pink has what it takes" ... meaning she has the skill set to do an hour-long interview show. Most importantly, the source says, she's "natural and friendly."

Sources connected to the show say the show's staff loves Pink and are crossing their fingers for a "go" from NBC.

'RHOA' Star Peter Thomas Out of Prison, But Not Free & Clear Yet

Cynthia Bailey's ex-husband Peter Thomas has been released from federal prison ... though he's not a free man just yet.

The former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star is out of FCI Miami, TMZ has learned ... and, he's now under community confinement supervision of the Miami Residential Reentry Management Office, according to the Bureau of Prisons website.

This means he's either living in a residential reentry center -- AKA a halfway house -- or he's held in home confinement ... it's unclear which.

Bobby J. Brown's Death Video Shows Barn Blaze That Killed 'The Wire' Star

TMZ has obtained intense footage of the barn fire that killed "The Wire" actor Bobby J. Brown this week ... and it shows the large structure covered in thick smoke.

Check out the clip ... firefighters are working hard to put out the blaze that erupted on the 50-by-100-foot barn in Chaptico, Maryland. You can still see flames ripping through the structure under the cloud of smoke ... and the roof is completely gone. A photo from the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal further highlights the damage from the ground.

We also obtained frightening dispatch audio that confirmed the barn was fully ablaze with a male trapped inside, after he tried to start an old Cadillac. Once the fire was under control, firefighters located Bobby inside ... but it was too late.

The record producer dropped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Thursday, along with Lil Dicky, to talk about their new "Friends Keep Secrets" podcast ... which is already a hit thanks to BB's filthy bare feet on the pilot episode.

Benny defended his dogs ... saying Dicky's floors were dirty, and that's the reason why his feet were so nasty. He then took off a boot and his sock to show Jimmy, and viewers, his feet are pretty clean.

Pink is being eyed to take over Kelly Clarkson's spot on her NBC talk show, according to a new report.

The "American Idol" alum is closing out "The Kelly Clarkson Show" after 7 seasons this fall, and a source tells Page Six that producers see her fitting in as a permanent replacement. The insider says ... "She’s been guest-hosting and it seems she’s doing very well, and that’s the plan."

No word on where in the process Pink is. TMZ has reached out to her reps for comment ... so far, no word back.

Eric Dane was celebrated Thursday evening by the TV show that launched his acting career -- "Grey's Anatomy" -- and it was picture-perfect!

Here's what happened ... at the end of Thursday night's episode, the ABC hospital drama aired a 60-second reel of montage images harkening back to Dane as the hunky character, Dr. Mark "McSteamy" Sloan. "McSteamy" was a fan fave for 7 seasons as he navigated through the pitfalls of his complex relationships and high-pressure medical job.    

Accompanying the montage clip was a soundtrack of a cover song, "Chasing Cars," by Tommee Profitt and Fleurie, which, you may recall, was also part of a montage commemorating the show broadcasting its 400th episode in 2022.

Horne’s law office told TMZ ... "Nearly a decade ago, a jury heard all of the evidence and found Arthur Earle Horne III NOT GUILTY on every serious charge brought against him, including aggravated rape, aggravated kidnapping, and aggravated assault. That is the verdict. That is the record."

'The Wire' Star Bobby J. Brown Dead at 62

Bobby J. Brown -- who played Officer Bobby Brown on the hit HBO series "The Wire" -- has died after being caught in a barn fire, TMZ has learned.

Brown's daughter tells TMZ her father died Tuesday of smoke inhalation, so they believe he did not suffer from the severe burns he incurred from the terrible blaze.

The Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed to TMZ ... Brown's cause of death was ruled diffuse thermal injury and smoke inhalation. We're told the manner of death was determined to be an accident.

Renee Graziano's son was hospitalized Wednesday after experiencing symptoms similar to those of a heart attack, TMZ has learned.

The "Mob Wives" star shared an update with us Thursday ... saying her son, AJ, underwent testing at a hospital after he felt numbness in his left arm and chest pains while at work. She tells us AJ is home now and "doing well" ... adding he did not have a heart attack.

AJ will be following up with his doctor to determine what caused the symptoms, we're told.
