Two women were swept off their feet by a pair of Good Samaritans after a flood in Brazil did the same to them ... with bystanders dashing through the raging waters to pull them.

Daniela Gonçalves Silva, 44, and Gabriela de Jesus Lima, 23, were standing outside Lima's shop in Montes Claros -- a city in the north of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais -- Tuesday when the rain in the area intensified, causing a flood that carried them down the street.

In the clip, you can see the two women sliding and tumbling down the block, along with a motor scooter ... unable to hold on to anything to brace themselves against the storm's onslaught.

Savannah Guthrie and her family say they will pay the ransom for the return of their mother, Nancy.

The NBC anchor and her family released a video Saturday afternoon in which they directly address the people allegedly holding their mother captive ... saying they received their message, and they will pay the demanded dollar figure.

Nancy was last seen when a family member dropped her off at her Tucson home on Saturday, January 31. We and several other news outlets received an alleged ransom note earlier this week which contained two deadlines.

Sometimes you just gotta dance! A woman suspected of DUI two-stepped her way right into police custody Wednesday night after taking cops on a wild and dangerous chase through Los Angeles.

Watch the video ... the harrowing chase starts with completely reckless driving, featuring death-defying moves, the driver blowing through red lights and pulling U-turns in traffic to evade the cops hot on her tail, before boxing herself in inside a crowded parking lot.

TMZ was sent an alleged ransom note Tuesday and forwarded it to law enforcement. The note demanded millions of dollars in Bitcoin in exchange for Nancy, and it gave a tight deadline with an element of "or else" while also describing some things about her and her home.

The moment of remorse unfolded during an All-Star event in Kobe, Japan. The man at the center of it, Yuji Nishida, was taking part in a serving challenge when his hit went awry -- striking a worker in the back.

Twitch streamer and rapper Aspen Kartier was arrested and charged with animal cruelty after a video of her seemingly roughing up an innocent pup on the platform went viral.

The 19-year-old streamer -- whose real name is Aspen Easterling -- was cuffed and booked into the DeKalb County Jail Friday night after authorities received numerous complaints over the alleged abuse in the circulating video ... the Brookhaven Police Department tells TMZ.

Brookhaven police officers gathered enough evidence against Aspen to secure a search warrant for her residence as well as an arrest warrant, and she was taken in around 9:30 PM.
