The Detroit rapper has been bouncing back after being shot in May, and we're hearing he was centered inside two star-studded, top-secret listening sessions on Wednesday in Los Angeles for his upcoming project.

Our sources inform us the first listening was held at the Interscope offices in Santa Monica with 50 and Skilla's Geffen Records label boss, Aaron “Dash” Sherrod, detailing the album.

G Herbo wasn't in attendance for rapper Mello Buckzz's Chicago album release party that left four people dead, but as a guest feature on the project and close friend of hers, Swerve says he's feeling the PTSD!!!

TMZ Hip Hop linked up with Herbo in NYC on Wednesday ... a bittersweet trip considering the 4th of July Weekend shooting is still fresh in his mind.

Herbo's song "Went Legit" has been crazy this summer and just got a boost from Druski clowning around ... and he's also featured on Rob49's viral "WTHELLY (Remix)."

Skai Jackson's baby daddy Deondre Burgin can't stop getting in trouble with the law ... because he was hit with a second arrest warrant for much more serious crimes in the last 2 months, for an armed carjacking, TMZ has learned.

Here's the deal ... back on June 21, Burgin and another suspect accosted a man near his parked Mercedes in Cincinnati, Ohio, according to a police report, obtained by TMZ.

One suspect allegedly pulled a firearm and ordered the victim to turn over his stuff, but it was unclear if Burgin was the gunslinger. The gunman pistol-whipped the man and snatched his keys with the help of his companion, police said.

Troy Ave's going from hero to zero ... 'cause it turns out he did NOT stand up to an armed robber -- instead, he and his buddy staged a shootout for social media clout.

Here's the deal ... Troy's pal, chef Geoff Cole, posted a wild video Tuesday purportedly showing a gunman sneaking up on both of them outside Geoff's San Diego area home, only to have Troy whip out his own handgun and fire on the supposed assailant.

Well, sources who've been in direct contact with the bogus bad boys have confirmed the whole scene was fake. No one actually attempted to rob Geoff, and we're told Troy did not actually fire any live rounds.

7/16 -- 2:08 PM PT -- TMZ's learned the whole shootout video ended up being nothing but a fake ... with sources in direct contact with the guy telling us no live rounds were fired, and law enforcement confirming there were no reports of a shooting or attempted robbery.

Rapper Troy Ave is his brother's keeper ... and he proved it, big time, by opening fire on a gunman who ran up on his pal, celeb chef Geoff Cole.

The shootout went down in the San Diego area -- home security footage shows Geoff pull up at home in his Bentley, Troy gets out on the passenger side ... and as both men are walking toward the garage, a would-be robber sneaks down the alley and charges at Geoff.

The Brooklyn MC immediately reacted, reaching for his own handgun as the gunman fumbled an apparent weapon -- and Troy seized the opportunity to start shooting and chasing the guy back into the alley.

Casey Anthony set off the rumor mill earlier this week when she was spotted on what appeared to be a date with a mystery man in New Hampshire.

And we've since revealed the name of the dude is Ben Beauchemin -- turns out he's got a bit of a past, too.

We're going to take a look into this guy's background and get a better picture of who the media figure -- who was found not guilty in 2011 of killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee -- hung out with on Wednesday night.

Beauchemin must've felt pretty comfortable hanging out in his home state, as he says he's lived in New Hampshire his entire life in a video produced for the New York Times.

Beauchemin described himself as an Army veteran in the video, and he's also worked as a police officer in the past.

We've been told that he comes from a sizable family -- although none of them were apparently aware that he had met Anthony.

A family source also told us that Beauchemin stopped responding to his family and took down his Facebook page after we revealed he'd been out with Anthony.

His family members were also apparently unaware he had gone to dinner with Anthony, or that they had even connected.

Beauchemin's the owner of Wicked Weaponry, a gun store located in Hooksett, NH.

He's been open about the politically divisive aspect of working in the arms industry, and he described himself as a "liberal" who happens to "really love the Second Amendment."

The former cop told the New York Times he's often apprehensive about telling his left-leaning friends that he owns a gun store, and listed "women's rights, reproductive rights, and the economy" as his main political concerns.

Beauchemin -- who told New Hampshire Public Radio he'd been using guns ever since he was "five or six years old" -- admitted his political beliefs factor into his business practices ... and he claimed he likely wouldn't sell bump stocks in his store following the events of the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting.

He said he wanted the arms world "to self-regulate as a gun industry, as a gun culture" in an effort to stifle further gun-related tragedies.

Beauchemin and Anthony's night on the town took place Wednesday this week at the Seasons Tickets bar in Manchester, NH.

A source told us the pair stayed at the pub for roughly an hour and a half, during which they knocked back a few cold ones and watched a Red Sox game.

They apparently even showed a little bit of PDA during the date -- which didn't look like it was their first, either -- Anthony touched Beauchemin's arm and leg while they spent time together.

Another source told us the pair describe themselves as being in a "situationship" at the moment.

Casey Anthony's been spending time in New Hampshire with a local man who has led an interesting life ... and only TMZ found out who he is.

The bearded mystery man Casey was spotted cozying up to Wednesday night at a sports bar in Manchester, NH, is a man named Ben Beauchemin.

Ben owns a gun shop in Hookset, NH ... Wicked Weaponry ... and he's a war veteran and former Army ranger who enjoys skydiving. He also used to be a police officer.

Jabyrion Crumbley turned himself in to the authorities Wednesday after he fatally shot Big Boi's uncle, Remoin Patton, during a June 16 road rage incident in Atlanta, according to police.

Crumbley was booked into the Fulton County Jail for murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He's being held without bail.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., days after sharing the ring with Jake Paul, is locked in a jail cell ... after ICE agents arrested the former champ over a warrant in Mexico for alleged weapons trafficking and connections to a cartel.

Officials from the Department of Homeland Security tell TMZ Sports that 39-year-old Chavez Jr., the son of boxing legend Julio Cesar Chavez Sr., was detained Thursday in Studio City over an active warrant out of our neighbors to the south.

The warrant, according to the U.S. gov, stems from Chavez's alleged involvement in organized crime and trafficking firearms, ammunition, and explosives.

Chicago-based rapper Mello Buckzz is mourning the loss of her boyfriend and 3 closest friends after they were senselessly killed during a drive-by shooting at her album release party Wednesday evening.

Police say the deadly assault occurred just after 11 PM at the 300 block of West Chicago Avenue as a crowd stood outside what's reported to be Artis Lounge nightclub, where the party took place.

Law enforcement says someone opened fire on the unsuspecting crowd -- killing 4 and injuring 14 -- before fleeing the scene.
