Justin Timberlake's Lawyer Tells Judge Client Wasn't Intoxicated During DWI Arrest

Justin Timberlake's DWI arrest never should've happened his lawyer says ... 'cause he just claimed in court the singer wasn't even intoxicated when cops arrested him.

JT's attorney -- Edward Burke Jr. -- tells us what he stated in court ... and that would be his argument his client wasn't intoxicated during his arrest, adding cops made serious errors in this case despite their best efforts. Justin's performing in Poland this weekend BTW, so he didn't attend the hearing in person or virtually.

Burke says he filed a motion to dismiss the case on the grounds of accusatory instrument defect ... basically arguing there was an issue with the document formally accusing Timberlake of a crime. The motion's under review now ... the case isn't likely to get tossed.

With an influx of visitors heading to Paris for the 2024 Olympics, French police are cracking down on prostitution ... and we've learned an anti-pimping brigade is even leading the charge.

The Press Office for the Police Prefecture tells TMZ ... authorities are doing what they can to combat illegal sex work in the City of Lights. We're told checkpoints and other road operations are targeted to try and put a stop to pimping in the Bois de Vincennes, Bois de Boulogne and Belleville sectors.

A formal brigade -- known as the BRP -- has even formed ... and we're told they will make their presence seriously known in the area. There is also a group in charge of surveilling night establishments, such as cabarets ... where anti-sex work laws will be reinforced.

Christina Haack Divorce $$$ Fight w/ Josh Hall ... Claims He Diverted Thousands

The gloves are off in Christina Haack's divorce from Josh Hall ... and it didn't take long for them to start bickering over money -- including claims he moved moolah outta her account.

According to legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Christina is scoffing at Josh's request for spousal support and she even claims he diverted more than $35K from a rental property she owns to his personal account the day after they separated.

Christina alleges Josh texted her professional property manager on July 8, asking for June payments to be sent to a different account ... his. She says the property manager complied with the request, believing Christina had authorized the change.

An arrest has been made in the fatal stabbing of a woman in San Dimas, CA, which saw another woman strolling down a residential street with a Samurai sword and gashes on her leg.

Weichien Huang was booked on suspicion of murdering her wife Chen Chen Fei on July 18 ... according to the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept, which says Huang attacked Fei with a Samurai sword during a domestic dispute at their San Dimas-area home.

Huang also allegedly attacked Fei’s mom ... who managed to snatch the sword away from Huang and flee into the street to get help.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard No Quickie Divorce With Ryan ... Spousal Support Off Table

Gypsy Rose Blanchard is going to have to hold her horses on cutting all ties from estranged husband Ryan Anderson ... their divorce is not going to speed through the courts.

Ryan's attorney, Jeffrey Carrier, tells TMZ … when married couples without children divorce in Louisiana, they have to live apart for 6 months after divorce papers are served before they can even request a divorce hearing.

Gypsy and Ryan publicly split in March, but we're told he wasn't served until the middle of July ... which is when the 6-month clock starts. As a result, this divorce will bleed into next year.

Karen Read is heading back to court for round two -- a judge just greenlit a second murder trial in the death of her BF, John O'Keefe ... weeks after declaring it a mistrial following a hung jury.

Massachusetts Judge Beverly Cannone has penciled in Read’s retrial for January 27, 2025 ... dropping the news Monday in front of both the prosecution and defense attorneys.

The date isn't locked in yet because Read's lawyer, David Yannetti, mentioned to Judge Cannone he's got another trial lined up right before then.

Philadelphia Baby Shooter Alleged Gunwoman Arrested ... Mug Shot Released

A woman accused of shooting a 7-month-old infant on the streets of Philadelphia has been arrested ... and TMZ has obtained her mug shot.

Dominique Billips -- the 28-year-old accused of the crime -- has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault, violation of the Uniform Firearms Act (VUFA), and related offenses according to a press release from Philly PD.

PPD says they arrested Billips Friday -- the day after the caught-on-camera shooting -- apprehending her without incident.

A seven-month-old baby in Philadelphia is miraculously in stable condition after being shot and left to fend for himself -- with his ordeal caught on distressing CCTV footage.

Take a look at your own discretion ... a couple was out for a stroll with their baby in Holmesburg, Philly, on Thursday when a gunwoman waltzed up and started shooting at them -- but cops say it was the innocent baby who ended up taking a bullet to the leg.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's daughter, Shiloh, is taking the next step to ditch her dad's last name -- all so a judge can speed things up and make it all official.

Shiloh -- who just recently turned 18 -- recently took out an ad in the L.A. Times newspaper to announce she'd filed a petition to drop "Pitt" from her surname -- which is a standard legality before the court green lights a name change.

Shiloh filed to change her name from Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie, per the newspaper notice. It also states anyone who has objections to the petition should show up in court later this month. Otherwise, she's going forward with her plan.

Evan Gershkovich Sentenced to 16 Years in Russia ... After Espionage Conviction

Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich was just hit with a 16-year prison term after being convicted of spying in Russia – a charge American leaders have categorically denied.

Gershkovich was found guilty Friday by a Russian court in Yekaterinburg as prosecutors asked for an 18-year sentence, but Evan instead was handed 16, according to multiple reports.

In March 2023, Evan was first arrested for espionage as he took a trip to Yekaterinburg while
working on a WSJ story -- he's been in Russia ever since ... despite outcry here in the States.

Weston Cage Finalizes 3rd Divorce After Lengthy Battle

Nicolas Cage's son Weston's divorce from 3rd wife Hila Cage Coppola is now official and in the books ... TMZ has learned.

According to new court docs, obtained by TMZ, a judge signed off on Weston and Hila's split and per the terms of the judgment, Weston and Hila are keeping their existing custody and visitation agreement.

Here's the skinny ... Hila has sole legal and physical custody of their kids, Cyress and Venice -- with Weston getting no visitation rights pending a further court order.

Pete Davidson's putting his reckless driving case in his rearview ... 'cause a California judge just dismissed the case after Pete completed a pretrial program.

The comedian completed 50 hours of community service, a safe driving course and attended a Mother's Against Drunk Driving victim impact program. Those were the court-required terms of a diversion program put in place after he was charged in the March 2023 incident ... according to Rolling Stone.

PD apparently finished the program quickly too ... wrapping it all up approximately 6 months before the judge's deadline.

Alec Baldwin is not done with New Mexico's legal system -- it looks like he's planning to legally go after the Santa Fe County Sheriff and the prosecutor in his "Rust" shooting case.

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, the actor's lawyers put Santa Fe sheriff Adan Mendoza and special prosecutor Kari Morrissey on notice ... instructing them to save all relevant info related to his now-dismissed manslaughter trial.

In a pair of preservation notices fired off this week, Alec's legal team told the prosecutor and sheriff to hold onto any emails, text messages, hard drives, documents, records and materials related to the investigation and prosecutions connected with Halyna Hutchins' shooting death.

Priscilla Presley's suing several former business associates ... claiming she's been the victim of financial elder abuse.

TMZ has obtained legal documents, filed by Priscilla Presley's lawyer Marty Singer Thursday, claiming a woman named Brigitte Kruse and several others took advantage of her and bilked her out of more than $1 million.

Shannen Doherty was determined to finalize her divorce before she died, but she didn't quite make it ... nevertheless, a family law judge gave her a unique, posthumous assist.

As you know, Shannen died Saturday after a multi-year struggle with cancer. Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ, those closest to her knew she would not make it past the weekend.

Shannen, we're told, wanted an official divorce from Kurt Iswarienko before she passed. They were married in 2011 and the split was bitter.
