David Archuleta is opening up about the emotional minefield that was his relationship with his father Jeff ... admitting for years he saw him as a threat to his peace while battling his sexuality within the strict confines of the Mormon Church.

Speaking on "GMA" Monday while promoting his new memoir "Devout: Losing My Faith to Find Myself," out Feb. 17, the 35-year-old said he’d been viewing everything through the lens of his terrified younger self ... until he reclaimed his voice by redirecting years of bottled-up anger toward his dad into something healthier.

David revealed ... the moment he came out to his dad, he stunned him with acceptance, telling him how proud he was -- a response he says brought him deep healing.

The actress explained her reasoning on her Instagram Story on Wednesday night ... and admitted she didn't realize the character she was set to play, Zoe, was of Mexican and Jewish heritage in the 2025 novel the upcoming A24 movie is based on.

Odessa's casting was announced Monday, and fans of the book started posting online about how her own background -- she's Jewish, but does not have Mexican roots -- doesn't fit with the character, according to Variety.

Chris told us Kim knows a lot about dealing with the disease because her dad, Robert Kardashian, died from esophageal cancer in 2003. As Chris' mom -- often referred to on social media as Momma Appleton -- battled the same type of cancer, Chris was readily receptive to Kim's support.

He said, "She helped me through it."

Kevin Federline Claims Son Preston Cried, Clung to Him Before Visits With Britney

Kevin Federline claims his and Britney Spears' son Sean Preston was "terrified" to stay with his mom during some of their most turbulent years.

In his memoir, "You Thought You Knew," Federline recalls gut-wrenching nights comforting the boy, who he says would cry and cling to him whenever it was time to visit Britney.

"Every time Preston had to go to his mom's, they had to pry him off my neck," Kevin reads in the audiobook version. "He'd cry, scream, and hold on with everything he had."

Kevin Federline claims his ex-wife, Britney Spears, had a reckless pattern of prioritizing partying over their kids ... and his tell-all memoir details the moment he said enough is enough.

In his newly released book, "You Thought You Knew," Kevin writes, "I was in Miami for work, trying to stay focused on my commitments, and I got a call. It was her, Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan on the line, drunk as hell, begging me to come over. I could hear Preston and Jayden crying in the background. It had to be three or four in the morning. That call was the final straw."

According to K-Fed, it wasn't the first time something like that happened, but it was the one that stuck with him the most.

South Korean Author Baek Se-hee Dead At 35

Baek Se-hee -- the author whose 2018 memoir "I Want To Die But I Want To Eat Tteokbokki" became an international bestseller -- has died.

A statement confirming her death was released by the the Korean Organ Donation Agency on Thursday, according to CNN. A cause of death wasn't included in the statement.

Baek had several of her organs donated after her death, and they reportedly saved five lives.

The author, who was born in 1990, studied creative writing while in university, and she later became a social media director at a publishing house. She wrote her memoir -- in which she spoke openly about her struggles with depression, and her conversations with her psychiatrist -- while she was working at the publishing house.

Baek's book became wildly popular in South Korea, and it was translated into English in 2022, and got a recommendation in The New York Times.

The writer published a follow-up, "I Want to Die But I Still Want To Eat Tteokbokki," in 2019, and the book followed her as she dealt with steady, low-grade depression.

Anton Hur, who translated Baek's work into English, released a statement after her death, writing the author's work touched "millions of lives."

Baek was 35 years old.
