Brad Pitt Juror #1

Published | Updated

Brad Pitt showed up for jury duty today. Yes... you have to too.

Pitt postponed his service several times because he was either working or out of the country. Globetrotting with Angelina has its advantages! But sources tell TMZ that this time it was planned-- Brad took a red eye flight to perform his civic duty.

Brad arrived to court in a chauffeured SUV and was allowed to park in the employee lot. He's wearing a white t-shirt, dark jeans and a cool black cap. Pitt brought a book with him -- maybe it's "First Wives Club." He was ushered to a private room, where he waited until he went to the jury assembly room for orientation along with other would-be jurors. Brad was even spotted wearing a juror badge -- yeah, he looks good in that too.

When the potential jurors broke for lunch -- still not knowing their fate -- Brad stayed behind in private room and had someone bring him lunch from Subway. Eat fresh, hunk!

Being convicted of a crime would suck -- but being told you're guilty by Brad Pitt -- that might take the sting off!

As of 1:45 PM PT, Brad's still waiting to be called. Tick tock!

Brad and Ange: Lick Us!

On their way to sainthood, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are going to be recognized by the Australian government ... with their very own postage stamp. Lick that!

The Sydney Morning Herald reports that supermom of the world, along with hunky partner Brad Pitt and daughter Shiloh, will be reproduced from the cover of New Idea magazine -- which is sponsored by Australia Post -- and slapped onto a .50 cent stamp. A New Idea spokesman says, "These stamps will become instantly collectible and sought after by philatelists around the country."

For some time now, both Ange and Brad have been sought by philatelists who would like to stick them.

After a slammin' publicity tour for "Mighty Heart," which included a controversial swipe at press access to Madame Jolie, the snap-on brood appears to have returned to the Czech Republic for more filming on "Wanted."

Brad and Ange were caught on tape, walking in the rain while carrying Pax and Zahara to kindergarten ... just like other parents with jobs, bodyguards and umbrella wranglers.

They were seen leaving the school and returning to the woods, where the gorgeous creatures live.

Jolie Flustered by FOX Flurry

Published | Updated

No one puts Angelina Jolie in a corner and makes her squirm -- except, perhaps FOX News -- which wanted to know exactly why they were banned from covering the premiere of Jolie's latest flick, "A Mighty Heart."

In this clip obtained by TMZ, a FOX reporter quizzes Angie about it, right on the streets of Manhattan as she made the rounds shilling for "Heart." Jolie, initially a bit flustered -- as much by the question as the insane storm of autograph seekers -- admitted afterward that her treatment of FOX and the infamous contract her reps tried to force on journos was "excessive."

As one might expect, there will be plenty more breakdown of Joliegate on tonight's "O'Reilly Factor".

Angie May Be Open to Dad

Published | Updated

Angie Jolie may finally be ready to let dear old dad Jon Voight back into her life. In an interview in the U.K.'s Evening Standard and reprinted in People magazine, adoption-addicted Jolie said that she was hoping that her relationship with her father could be repaired. "At the end of the day we both wish the best for each other and we'll try to start communicating in some way.

Jolie and daddy Voight have been in a tiff since 2002, when Voight went to "Access Hollywood" with claims that Jolie was a little, well, unstable. Since then, Voight's been working overtime to get back in Jolie's good graces.

Angelina's Press Muzzle -- The Document

Published | Updated

TMZ has obtained the now infamous letter that Angelina Jolie's reps sent out to the press in advance of interviews for "A Mighty Heart" -- and the range of demands is stunning.

To begin with, the document, sent from the office of attorney Robert Offer, demands that the interview be used only "to promote ["A Mighty Heart"]," and not "in connection with any other story." What's more, the letter tries to compel reporters not to use the interview " in a manner that is disparaging, demeaning or derogatory to Ms. Jolie," without specifying what that might mean. All this on top of no questions about "personal relationships," which presumably could mean any other human being on the face of the planet.

Yesterday, on "The Daily Show," Jolie disavowed the contract, which was first reported by FOX News, calling it "excessive," adding that it was her handlers, not she, who sent it out. USA Today and the AP, among other organizations, refused to sign the document.

Ride 'Em, Maddox!

Published | Updated

Maddox Jolie-Pitt rode his dad, Brad Pitt, past the paparazzi and into Mars 2112 -- a themed family restaurant in Times Square -- not the name of the latest Pitt project.

Papa Pitt carried his son all the way inside and then the two spoke with a hostess before -- gasp! -- waiting in line. Don't they have "Ocean's 13" on the Red Planet?

At the space-age dining spot, you ride an elevator decorated like a spaceship while a movie plays that makes you feel like you're flying to Mars. When the doors open, the entire staff is dressed like aliens! Gotta love futuristic father-son bonding.

Angelina I Didn't Ban Anyone!

Published | Updated

Is today's game of "He said, she said" -- Angelina Jolie vs. FOX News?

Ms. Jolie was on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" last night, where she was asked about the so-called "ban" clamped on press at the premiere of "A Mighty Heart" in NYC on Wednesday. While Jolie admits a memo was indeed drawn up that asked reporters to limit their questions to the film, she says nobody was forced to sign it. She added that her handlers wrote it, but she personally wouldn't have put it out there.

TMZ caught Angie on her way out of the taping and again outside Florence Gould Hall, where she was swarmed by fans, paps and autograph seekers -- again taking time to sign for the crowd.

Papa Pitt Protects Pax from Paps

Published | Updated

A protective Brad Pitt attempted to shield son Pax from swarming paparazzi as the two made their way from an SUV in New York on Thursday. Stand back, man with child!

While in New York, the adorable father and son maneuvered through flashbulbs and stopped into the medical offices of Dr. Jane Aronson, a pediatrician and renowned adoption medicine specialist. Catching a glimpse of the Brangelina matrix, Dr. Aronson can be heard shooing the photogs by repeatedly saying,"Go away." It didn't work.

Earlier this year, Pax won the maternal lotto, when Angelina Jolie adopted him from a Viet Nam orphanage. Last month, Pax's last name was legally changed to Jolie-Pitt. Lucky bastard!

Brangelina -- Screw the Press, Bring on the Fans!

Published | Updated

Angelina Jolie banned press from the premiere of her film last night -- but when it came to the fans, she showed nothin' but love.

Both Brad and Angie signed photos for almost everyone who showed up to the premiere of "A Mighty Heart," starring Jolie and produced by Pitt. Looks like having AP and USA Today pull themselves off the red carpet allowed for a bit more time with the autograph-hungry crowd!

And though she obliged with plenty of John Hancocks, Angie didn't give the crowd anything more to go wild about -- pulling off a classy exit from her SUV and narrowly avoiding a Britney-esque moment.

Pitt & Clooney Mixed Up in Gay Bar Fight

Published | Updated

Known for their goodwill efforts in poverty-ravaged parts of the world like Darfur, Brad Pitt and George Clooney are now being asked to come to the aid of a slightly less disenfranchised group -- Laguna Beach gays!

The Boom Boom Room, a popular Laguna Beach, Calif. gay bar for over 60 years, was sold to a Beverly Hills billionaire two years ago for over $12 million. That's a lot of cosmos! In 2005, Pitt & Clooney were incorrectly labeled as co-investors in the bar, whose rightful owners were planning on turning into yet another upscale (and undoubtedly hetero) oceanfront hotel. The Heche Hilton! With those plans now scrapped, the bar (which is scheduled to stay open until Labor Day) is back on the market and a grassroots organization is appealing to the Hollywood hunks to help Save the Boom!

To make sure they get the message, TMZ has exclusively obtained the ad Save the Boom is running in Monday's Variety, which hopes to persuade Brad and George to "buy our 60-year-old landmark before it is converted into a boutique hotel." And homophobes say gays are the ones doing all the converting?!

Will Brad and Clooney take the bait...or just Stonewall it?

Pax a Pitt!

Published | Updated

TMZ was in a Los Angeles County Superior Court this morning as little Pax Thien Jolie officially became the newest member of the Jolie-Pitt tribe, having Pitt legally added to his last name. Who's your daddy?!

Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt is the third adopted child of Angelina Jolie to take the name of A-list dadfriend, Brad Pitt. Angelina adopted the 3-year-old boy from an orphanage in Southern Vietnam earlier this year.

As TMZ first reported, as part of the petition for name change, the child's new name was published in a legal journal for four weeks in support of the petition.
