Britney Spears is officially facing criminal charges after being arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Prosecutors in Ventura County have charged Britney with one count of misdemeanor DUI.

TMZ broke the story ... Britney was pulled over March 4 in Westlake Village, near her home. Dispatch audio revealed she was allegedly swerving between lanes before being stopped by police.

Britney Spears' youngest son, Jayden Federline, was snapped in L.A. today while his mom gets treated in rehab ... and we have a pic!

Check out the photo ... Jayden palms a smoothie in his right hand as he's wearing a white tank top and floral-themed shorts.

As we told you ... sources with direct knowledge told us Britney voluntarily checked herself into rehab for substance abuse after her DUI arrest last month.

Britney Spears is in rehab for substance abuse ... TMZ has learned.

She checked in a few days ago somewhere in the United States. Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... people close to the singer had been urging her to check herself in and she finally agreed to do so voluntarily.

As one source put it ... "She realizes she hit rock bottom."

Britney has had issues with drugs -- in particular Adderall -- and alcohol for years. During her many trips to Mexico, she made it a point to replenish her Adderall supply.

Our sources say ... part of the reason she's gone to rehab now is because of her pending DUI case. As one source says, "She knows strategically this will look good in front of the judge -- that she's taking it seriously."

We broke the story ... Britney was arrested for alleged DUI in Ventura County, CA in March 4, 2026.

We're told her sons and others have been strongly supportive of the move.

The program is an undetermined length -- they are often 30 days -- but in this case we're told Britney could stay longer for a more meaningful recovery.

On the other hand, back in the day Britney went to rehab several times but bailed after a few days.

A Ventura County Sheriff’s Office official tells TMZ … the department determined that the booking photo does not fall within their requirements and is considered discretionary.

We're told it’s their practice to release booking photos for violent crimes or when an individual is an immediate threat to the public. The charges being brought against Britney do not warrant release in accordance with the policy. So, that's that.

Britney Spears' on-again, off-again boyfriend Paul Soliz is not loved by everyone in Britney's life ... but he wasn't in her orbit before her DUI arrest.

Our sources tell us ... those pills will be tested to determine if they contain pure Adderall or an additional substance. It's not uncommon that certain drugs obtained in Mexico are laced with fentanyl, cocaine, meth or other substances.

Kevin Federline is wishing his ex-wife Britney Spears the best after her DUI arrest ... and he hopes she'll makes some changes in her life.

K-Fed's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, tells TMZ ... "Kevin hopes for the best for Britney and if help is necessary, he hopes that she will neither resist it or those who are attempting to work with her."

Kevin's lawyer says they've spoken since Britney's Wednesday night arrest and says they don't know more than what's been reported in the media, but adds ... "The concern is whether this is just a one off or a one more."
