'Mormon Wives' producers are firing back at "Vanderpump Villa" star Marciano Brunette’s claim that paperwork doesn't bar him from suing them ... TMZ has learned.
According to court docs obtained by TMZ, Jeff Jenkins Productions -- the company behind the Hulu reality show -- said Marciano's lawsuit should be thrown out.
As TMZ previously reported, Marciano sued 'Mormon Wives' cast member Demi Engemann and Jeff Jenkins for defamation. Marciano claimed he consensually hooked up with Demi ... only for her to make it appear he sexually assaulted her afterward.
Marciano decided to shoot for 'Mormon Wives' after being asked by his friend/cast member Chase McWhorter, months after he filed his suit. He said he was asked to sign a release after the shoot, which he says he believed was for payment ... but turned out to be an agreement that prohibited him from suing the producers.

Our sources were not clear on whether TFP or Mortensen will be a part of filming with the rest of the cast when cameras go back up.

According to Ticktin, Joe was disciplined after social media posts were shared online on his behalf ... though it's unclear if one specific message triggered the move or if it was a buildup.
As Ticktin puts it ... "The prison decided not to like his posts."
Joe is currently being held in isolation, and while his legal team hopes he'll be released within 15 days, there are no guarantees, and inmates aren't always told when they're getting out. Ticktin says he hasn't been able to speak with Joe since he was moved to SHU.

The family was supposed to hold court Monday outside the Hall of Justice in Downtown Los Angeles and give a statement through their lawyer ... but it never happened ... and now we know why.
Patrick Steinfeld, who is representing the family, tells TMZ ... "The Rivas Hernandez family are very private individuals who were overwhelmed by the day’s events. They were concerned for their safety when they heard about the bomb threat. They were intimidated by the onslaught of reporters and the aggressiveness of some camera people."

She assures us she's bouncing back and has returned to work, but is still having some small setbacks, saying ... "It's a little bit harder if I'm overworked or overstressed."
The doc says sometimes her voice falters or the grip in her left hand isn't as strong ... but she's still got a sense of humor about it.

Mark Geragosis sticking to his guns ... telling us Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman is full of it when he says the D.A.'s office and the LAPD worked in lockstep to arrest and charge D4vdwith Celeste Rivas' murder.
The famed defense attorney joined us on "TMZ Live" Tuesday and called BS on some of Hochman's claims from Monday's news conference, where Hochman refuted what Geragos told us -- that LAPD went rogue in arresting D4vd -- on the "2 Angry Men" podcast.
Geragos says Hochman is just trying to put on a united front when, in reality, cops were fed up with a lack of action from prosecutors and moved to arrest D4vd to force their hand.

Rep. James Comer is telling people not to worry about aliens snatching up American scientists, because he says hostile foreign nations are more likely to blame. Great!
The reality is nearly a dozen scientists with knowledge of America's nuclear and/or space programs have either died or gone missing since 2022 ... and House Oversight Committee Chairman joined us Tuesday on "TMZ Live" to talk about government investigations into the mystery.
Comer makes it clear he doesn't think aliens are beaming up scientists to learn about humanity's weaknesses -- as some are theorizing online -- though he knows some of his colleagues think otherwise.
Instead, the Congressman from Kentucky says it's more likely the usual suspects are involved ... Russian, Iranian or Chinese agents who want info on the USA's nuclear capabilities.
