Drake started the blowout NYC nightclub brawl last summer with Chris Brown ... by sending Brown a handwritten note that read "I'm f***ing the love of your life" -- this according to Chris Brown's bodyguard.

According to the lawsuit, obtained by the NY Daily News, Patrick Strickland -- whose head was badly bloodied during the flying bottle attacks -- is suing Drake and W.i.P. nightclub, where the brawl took place last June.

Strickland says Drake's note -- a clear reference to Rihanna -- started a verbal altercation, which then led to the all-out melee in which several people were badly injured ... including Strickland and several other clubgoers.

According to Strickland, the club is also responsible for over-serving Dreezy -- and seating him way too close to Chris ... in light of their public beef over RiRi.

Sharon Stone HATES her former nanny's guts -- like seething, fiery hatred -- and now she's suing her former help ... claiming the nanny ran off with $9,500 of Sharon's cash.

Stone has a bitter history with the woman -- Erlinda Elemen. Just last year, the nanny sued Stone claiming the actress was a tyrant of a boss who would often hurl racially charged insults her way.

Stone denied the allegations ... calling the case "frivolous."

But now, Stone is lashing back with a brand new lawsuit of her own -- alleging she loaned the nanny $12,500 back in 2010 ... but the woman only paid back $3,000.

In her suit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Stone claims Elemen stopped making loan payments in January 2011 ... one month before Elemen claims she was fired.

Jenna Jameson allegedly wanted to beat down her assistant -- and yep, there's an app for that.

Jameson allegedly went all Naomi Campbell on the transgender gofer, but with a dangerous twist ... a BRASS KNUCKLES CASE on her iPhone 5 ... according to legal docs.

Shocking details of the arrest have now emerged in Britney Markham's restraining order request, filed by attorney Adam Krolikowski. She claims Jameson barged into a Newport Beach salon and started bitching at her, and eventually punched her in the stomach and back with the weaponized device.

Markham claims Jameson then threatened, "I'll f***ing kill you."

The assistant says she definitely was the worse for wear, landing in the hospital.

Here's the thing: Brass knuckles are illegal in California, so Jameson could be in felony territory ... but she has an interesting defense -- the brass-ass add-ons are an accessory, not a weapon.

During an interview with Jim Rome ... Kobe reacted to the infamous video of now-fired Rutgers coach Mike Rice getting physical with his players, saying if he was on that team ... "I woulda smacked the hell out of him. No question about it."

It's interesting since Kobe never played college hoops -- going straight from high school to the NBA -- but he points out that as an 18-year-old he didn't take crap from Shaquille O'Neal ... so why would he take it from a coach.

Jaime Pressly says Estella Warren's purse-snatching episode was NO accident, and she's warning the actress to never do it again ... OR ELSE.

Jaime was out in L.A. Tuesday and unloaded about her weekend confrontation in a nightclub with Estella. Jaime says her assistant's clutch and phone were stolen, and claims she caught EW red-handed.

Not only that, Jaime says Estella's pseudo apology -- where she claims it was a simple misunderstanding -- is a giant crock.

Paulina Rubio no le gusta dragging out a legal battle with the ex-assistant who claimed she beat the crap out of him ... so she settled with him outside of court.

TMZ broke the story ... Felipe Restrepo Betancur sued Rubio last year ... claiming she unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks on him inside an airplane, after he booked her ticket in COACH rather than 1st class. He wanted $250,000 for the alleged assault and some unpaid overtime.

Rubio denied the beating -- and said Felipe was an incompetent drunk who made the whole thing up.

Rather than play he-said-she-said forever ... the two struck a settlement deal this month regarding overtime. Rubio agreed to cough up $6,232.34 + the cost of Felipe's attorneys' fees. The assault claims were tossed out by the court.

Jenna Jameson's bday celebrations got off to a rocky start -- the XXX star was arrested for battery Saturday night ... before her shindig even kicked off.

Law enforcement sources tells us ... Jameson was hanging out in the Balboa Peninsula neighborhood of Newport Beach around 8 pm ... when she allegedly battered someone.

We're told the alleged victim put Jameson under citizen's arrest and then flagged down a police officer. The cop arrived and cited Jenna for battery. She was later released.

Jenna was supposed to attend an early birthday party at Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim later that night (real bday is April 9). No word if she made it or not.

Halle Berry exploded on the paparazzi last night ... cussing them out for swarming her at LAX while she was holding her young daughter -- and she eventually had to restrain her fiance when things started to turn violent.

Halle -- along with Olivier Martinez -- had just arrived at the airport from their vacation in Hawaii when they were bombarded by an especially intense paparazzi gang.

As the flashbulbs went off, Halle unloaded, "Get away there's a child ... what the f**k is wrong with you people?"

When Halle and Olivier eventually got to their waiting SUV, Olivier lost his cool and went after one of the photogs ... allegedly kicking the guy ... but Halle quickly grabbed her fiance, restrained him and shoved him inside the vehicle.

Liev Schreiber ended up playing mediator between a photog and a waiter who had originally come to HIS defense ... after the waiter repeatedly threatened to EAT THE PHOTOGRAPHER!!!

It all went down at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica over the weekend. As Schreiber was hounded by photogs (none of which work for TMZ), a waiter came to his aid and tried to shoo them away. But things got physical with one of the photogs (a female, no less) and she swung the camera at the waiter in defense.

That's when the waiter went all Jeffrey Dahmer, screaming, "You touch me with that and I will EAT YOU ALIVE! You understand? I will eat you! EAT YOU!" Clearly the restaurant does not feed its staff.

Before things could really get out of hand, Liev came over to play peacemaker and calm things down ... and in the end no one got eaten.

The wife of the man who Justin Bieber allegedly spit on tells TMZ, Bieber is a "punk."

TMZ broke the story ... auto mogul Jeff Schwartz -- Justin's neighbor -- went over to confront the singer about driving in the gated community at speeds approaching 100 mph, and Justin responded by allegedly spitting in his face and threatening to kill him.

Schwartz's wife, Suzie, tells TMZ, "He's a punk. He thinks he's invincible. He can't continue to have a bunch of enablers around him." FYI, there are reports Jeff said this, but it was Suzie.

Suzie also tells TMZ, "Spitting on someone is unacceptable. He can't do this to people."

And she tells us Justin has NOT apologized to her hubby.

Justin Bieber was so out of control during his altercation with a neighbor Tuesday ... he had to be restrained by his bodyguard ... this according to the neighbor's account to cops.

We broke the story ... the neighbor claims Justin spit in his face and threatened to kill him after he complained that the singer was driving his Ferrari at around 100 mph in the gated community.

We've now learned ... the neighbor told L.A. County Sheriff's deputies ... Bieber wasn't done after hocking the loogie ... he was lunging at the 47-year-old man and the bodyguard had to restrain him. It's interesting ... because earlier this month a bodyguard had to restrain Bieber from attacking a rude photog in London.

Justin Bieber now claims he never spit at his neighbor in a fit of anger ... but an eyewitness begs to differ.

Sources connected with Justin tell TMZ ... the singer insists he did NOT spit in the neighbor's face.

We've learned the house directly across the street from Justin's is under construction, and several landscapers were in the front, watching the confrontation. We've learned AT LEAST one landscaper told the construction foreman he saw Justin spit in the neighbor's face.

There are various reports circulating that the neighbor had a thing against Justin, but we've checked with multiple neighbors who tell us the guy has never had beef with the singer. In fact, the 47-year-old father of 3 -- who has lived in the Calabasas gated community for 10 years -- went to the guard shack shortly after Justin moved in and told the guards how important it was to maintain his privacy.

The L.A. County D.A.'s Office will review battery allegations against Justin Bieber ... and multiple law enforcement sources tell us ... the case will be taken "seriously."

We're told when the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. concludes its investigation ... the case WILL be referred to the D.A. for review and possible prosecution.

We're told Justin believes he had a right to engage the guy in the argument ... but the singer is telling people no spit ever left his mouth. JB also insists he never threatened to do the neighbor any harm.

A number of neighbors say Justin was driving insanely fast -- the complaining neighbor says 100 mph.

The man -- a 47-year-old successful businessman and father of 3 -- went onto Justin's Calabasas property and screamed, "You can't drive like this!" The man told deputies, Justin responded by saying , "Get the f**k out of here," and then he spit in the guy's face and said, "I'm gonna f**king kill you."

The man filed a battery report and we're told he wants Bieber prosecuted and will not back down.

Sean Penn's son handled a paparazzo in Beverly Hills today much the way his father used to ... violently ramming the photog -- and also calling the guy a "f***ot" and a "n***er."

19-year-old Hopper Penn was following his dad into a medical building when he got into the altercation with an African-American photographer (not TMZ's).

The nuclear exchange was all caught on tape ... Hopper gets up in the photog's face, pushing him, then says, "F*** you ... you're a f***ing f***ot ... shut up you f***ing n***er."

Cops happened to be nearby at the time and heard the commotion. Law enforcement sources tell us, officers asked what happened ... but the photog said it was just a verbal argument, and he didn't want to press charges.

Hopper tells TMZ his side of the story is ... “I was accosted by paparazzi and made to feel like an animal - threatened and under attack, but that does not condone my own actions."

He adds, "I deeply regret my choice of words.”

FYI, Sean was 100% calm and cool in today's video.

It's been nearly four years since Sean's infamous kicking altercation with a photog. He was sentenced to three years probation stemming from that incident.
