"Best Damn Sports Show Period" host and former NFL star Rodney Peete is getting an early Christmas gift this year -- a $4,150 bill for a buttload of holiday lights.

A company named Christmas Lights Guys has filed a small claims lawsuit against Holly Robinson Peete's husband, claiming it installed the massive Christmas light assembly on the couple's L.A. home back in 2009.

According to the suit, the 1988 Heisman Trophy finalist agreed to pay $4,150 for the Christmas lights spectacular -- but never ponied up.

Now, CLG is going after Rodney in court demanding payment. Calls to Peete’s rep have been unreturned

Howie Mandel summoned cops early this morning because it sounded to him like people were having sex in his bathroom ... TMZ has learned.

Want to know more? Well Howie was having a 4th of July party at his Calabasas home and it lasted ... well, into the 5th of July. At around 1 AM, he walked past his bathroom and heard the sounds of sex.

Ever the cautious person, Howie thought it might have been a sexual assault, so he called 911.

Police came, interviewed the 2 subjects -- a male and female ... both 21 -- and they confessed they had a few libations and got carried away.

We're not saying the dude has premature issues, but those cops must have really responded quickly.

RZA from the Wu-Tang Clan is going to jail ... but not because he's in trouble -- in fact, RZA is going to help.

TMZ has learned ... the rapper is working with the L.A. County Probation Dept. to host a Father's Day workshop at L.A. Juvenile Hall on Saturday.

According to the L.A. County Probation Dept., RZA's goal is to help "educate the young men about their roles, responsibilities and expectations as fathers upon their release from juvenile hall."

Among the activities, RZA will teach the inmates how to change diapers, dress a baby and properly care for a child.

Arnold Schwarzenegger spent Mother's Day with the mother of most of his children ... showing up at Maria Shriver's new Brentwood home yesterday.

Our sources say the day went well, but as for reconciliation ... even though Maria has gone back and forth on it, the divorce is still all systems go.
