MMA star Tito Ortiz was cited for misdemeanor battery early this morning after allegedly getting physical with a woman inside of a Vegas nightclub ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Here's what we know ...

Cops were called to Drai's Nightclub inside The Cromwell hotel around 1 AM -- where a woman claimed Ortiz got physical with her and tried to rip her phone away.

The woman tells TMZ Sports she had been taking pics inside the club earlier in the evening -- and she believes Tito must have thought she was trying to snap shots of him.

The woman claims Tito tried to "whip her around" -- and the incident was so frightening, she was "scared for [her] life."

When cops arrived to the scene, Tito was NOT arrested -- however, he was cited for misdemeanor battery.

We're told the woman is lawyering up -- and is considering her legal options.

The woman who claimed Chris Brown and his crew hit her and tossed her out of a Las Vegas party ... has now filed a lawsuit against him.

Liziane Gutierrez filed docs in Clark County, NV ... laying out the details of the story TMZ broke: She says she went to Chris' room at the Palms Hotel and Casino, and then someone -- Chris or someone in his crew -- hit her in the "face and/or arm and/or hands."

In the suit, she also says someone in the room took her cell phone.

Gutierrez is suing for battery, theft and also defamation -- over that video Chris posted calling her "too ugly" to be in his party.

As we've reported ... Vegas police cleared Chris of any criminal wrongdoing for lack of evidence.

NFL legend Jim Plunkett knows what SHOULDN'T happen in Vegas ... the Raiders playing there ... saying the silver & black moving to Sin City is a no-no.

Plunkett is a GOD in Raiders lore ... having won two Super Bowls with the team back in the day. So when we got him out in San Fran we needed to know his thoughts on rumors Vegas could be the team's new home.

Long story short ... he ain't with it.

Mariah Carey may have to get a restraining order against her billionaire fiance ... to keep him in his seat during her concert.

Celine Dion tearfully recalled moments in her life with late husband Rene Angelil at his Vegas memorial.

Celine told the crowd in the Colosseum at Caesars Palace that she can "still feel his strength and his warmth."

She talked about how Rene kept her grounded, and how he hated no one.

Very emotional.

The owner of the Oakland Raiders tells TMZ Sports ... he does in fact own the domain LasVegasRaiders.com -- and has for years -- "just in case" the Silver and Black move to Sin City.

We spoke with Mark Davis who confirmed he personally bought the domain back in the '90s "in case the team ever wound up in Vegas."

"I think it's only $8 per year ... so, it's worth it in case we end up there."

When asked why he liked Vegas as a possible destination, Davis said -- "It's close to where we are now. It would be a close trip for our fans and there are a lot of sports fans who visit Vegas."

One other interesting thing ... Davis told us he believes the Raiders are the only NFL team that could "exist" out in Vegas.

So far, it seems Vegas could still be in the cards for the team -- especially with Las Vegas Sands honcho Sheldon Adelson gunning to build a $1 billion stadium on the UNLV campus.

The folks at Chippendales hope so ... 'cause they were so impressed with the Olympian's Speedo stunt at the ASU basketball game last week, they want him to shake it onstage!

Celine Dion is about to take center stage for the first time since husband Rene Angelil died, but not to sing.

We're told Celine's back in Vegas where she'll honor her late husband Wednesday with a celebration of life service. The venue is the Caesars Palace Colosseum ... the site of her Vegas residency.

Celine will speak at the event ... but we're told there's no plan for her to sing.

Rene was laid to rest in Montreal at an elaborate funeral in the Notre-Dame Basilica. A day later, Celine buried her brother ... so it's been a rough start to 2016.

As we previously reported ... she's canceled her Vegas shows until February 23.

Chris Brown is in the clear ... he won't face criminal charges for allegedly punching a woman at a Vegas after-party.

We broke the story, Liziane Gutierrez filed a police report claiming Chris went off on her earlier this month at a Vegas hotel, punching her in the face.

But cops weren't convinced, not by a long shot. They shelved the case because her claim wasn't supported by enough evidence. Chris said from the get-go he never touched her and she's just pissed because his boys wouldn't let her into the after-party.

There was another sticking point. Liziane went off on Jason Derulo in August after she didn't make the cut at his after-party. She later claimed he tried to get the women who did attend do some nasty stuff ... again, all unsupported claims.

We've reached out to Gutierrez for comment ... so far, no word back.

Jennifer Lopez's booty just can't be stopped ... because it escaped during her show in Vegas.

J. Lo had just finished the last song at her Planet Hollywood show over the weekend and when she took her final bow it was just too much to bare.

French Montana might soon be able to add "party planner" to his resume ... the rapper threw a big time shin-dig for Jennifer Lopez in Vegas.

It all went down Friday night at the Paris Hotel. Montana shut down Martorano's Restaurant for the event. It was all to celebrate J. Lo's opening weekend of her stint at Planet Hollywood.

We're told there was plenty of food, booze and good times to be had by all.

The singer has another nearly sold out performance Saturday night.

Opening night of Jennifer Lopez's "All I Have" Las Vegas show was packed with A-list celebs who got up on their feet to worship the booty ... and dance.

Seriously, it could've been a Hollywood award show -- Justin Bieber, Scooter Braun, Ryan Seacrest, Rebel Wilson, T.I., Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Kelly Osbourne, Hoda Kotb, Derek Hough, Nicole Scherzinger and many, many more.

Her "Shades of Blue" co-star Ray Liotta was also there ... and BFF Leah Remini took in her second performance. And onstage, she had Ja Rule, Ne-Yo and Pitbull performing.

She gave 'em what they came for too -- singing, dancing, and yeah ... lots of booty shaking.

Lakeisha Holloway, the woman who plowed through the Las Vegas Strip in her car killing one and injuring 35, just got slapped with 71 charges for the crash.

Holloway's charges include one count of murder with a deadly weapon ... 30 counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, and 4 counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon where the victim was 60 or older.

The 24-year-old also got slapped with 2 counts of child abuse because an 11-year-old was struck by the car and Holloway's own 3-year-old daughter was in her backseat.

According to the D.A. Holloway's facing more than 1,000 years in prison, if convicted on all charges.

Holloway claims she was sober at the time of the crash, but exhausted from lack of sleep. Tests later found marijuana in her system.

J. Lo launched her Las Vegas residency with a preview show for family and friends that went off without a single hitch.

Jennifer ran through her "All I Have" show at Planet Hollywood Monday night, and even though the front row was loaded with familiar faces -- like BFF Leah Remini, her mom and kids -- she nailed the routine.

Video from the VIP gig shows J. Lo hitting her marks (like a Fly Girl should) -- and, apparently, really singing instead of lip syncing.

Jen's performing on Britney Spears' off days in the same theater, and shows for the public begin Wednesday night.

The Three 6 Mafia rapper helped son Nautica ring in his 20th birthday -- which also happened to be Paul's big day -- in Vegas over the weekend. Judging from the 12:1 ratio on the dance floor ... his son had a great time.

We're told the father-son bash began with a screening of 'Star Wars' before they hit the club at D Casino for an EDM show. He got Nautica a 'Star Wars' cake and an Oscar themed cake for himself.

Khloe Kardashian is stranded in Las Vegas after her cross country flight had to make an emergency landing.

Khloe was on board American Airlines flight 256, LAX to NYC, and shortly after take off the pilots reported an electrical smell in the cockpit. They quickly diverted to Las Vegas where they touched down around 3:30 PM.

Everyone on the flight is okay, but Khloe's left with a uniquely celebrity problem -- she's in Vegas without ... security! Our sources say Khloe had to bolt for the first class lounge to avoid getting swarmed in the airport.

We're told she's waiting to be rebooked on a new flight so she can get NY in time for a 'GMA' appearance in the morning.
