Whoever said fishing is relaxing hasn't been to the new Bass Pro Shops in Odessa, Texas ... where a huge brawl broke out to christen the opening ... all caught on video.

The Odessa Police Department tells TMZ ... they responded to the disturbance Saturday at approximately 2:52 PM. Cops said two men started arguing while waiting in line for the restroom. The incident then turned physical.

It's unclear what exactly started the argument ... but in the video, you can see 4 men paired off in separate tussles, and then more guys start running in.

A Customs and Border Protection agent repeatedly struck a man who was lying on the ground handcuffed ... with the violent incident caught on video.

The brutal beating took place near Evanston, Illinois -- a suburb of Chicago -- Friday ... with the video starting off after an agent had already wrestled a man to the ground and slapped a pair of cuffs on him.

The agent brings his fist down on the detainee's face multiple times in the short clip ... bringing forth a chorus of screams from onlookers.

Court was in brief session ... when a cop logged in for a virtual hearing, rocking business up top, and party down below ... leaving the judge absolutely shook.

You gotta see the vid -- Detroit Police Officer Matthew Jackson logged in for a proceeding of Michigan's 36th District Court on Monday ... and thanks to a very unlucky camera placement, the whole courtroom got an eyeful of his "uniform" ... boxers included (thankfully).

A Denver Police rep said ... "Cardenas is now under investigation for Theft from a Person and not Second Degree Assault." The person who tripped the victim remains unidentified, and police are asking for the public's help in identifying him.
