Doja Cat is joining the chorus of people slamming Timothée Chalamet over his controversial comments about opera and ballet.

The hip hop star posted a TikTok Sunday addressing the issue ... kicking things off by pointing out opera and ballet are 400 and 500 years old, respectively. She then mispronounced Timothée's name before saying he "had the nerve" to tell cameras that nobody cares about the art forms anymore.

Doja also said she's "pretty sure" if someone went to an opera house today it would be completely packed -- with audiences sitting silently during the performance because "they have so much respect" for the genre, which is "very beautiful.”

Britney Spears has some hurdles in front of her after her recent DUI arrest ... but at least her biopic won't be impacted.

A source with direct knowledge tells TMZ ... the biopic based on her best-selling memoir "The Woman In Me" is still in development ... so the arrest won't affect the project.

TMZ broke the news ... Brit was arrested in Ventura County, California Wednesday night on suspicion of DUI.

"Scary Movie" director David Zucker is weighing in on Marlon Wayans' claim that Harvey and Bob Weinstein stole the franchise ... telling TMZ this kind of thing happens in Hollywood all the time, and in his view it's just part of the business.

We caught up with David in L.A. Thursday, and while he says he doesn’t know every detail of the situation, he defended a studio's right to make creative decisions ... pointing to his own experience with his "Naked Gun" franchise.

ICYMI, Marlon accused the Weinstein brothers of swiping the original "Scary Movie" concept -- which started as a Wayans family idea back in 2000 -- with the studio Miramax claiming it and running with the idea, continuing to make sequels without their involvement.

James G. Robinson -- the longtime film producer movie buffs might remember for his public feud with Lindsay Lohan -- has died, TMZ has learned.

We're told Robinson passed away "peacefully" on February 15.

Robinson broke into the movie business in the mid-1980s after proudly serving in the United States Army and having great success in the automobile industry. He produced numerous films -- many of them comedies -- over the next four decades through his company Morgan Creek Entertainment, which he cofounded with Joe Roth.

Michael Bay is suing two women who he claims caused a bunch of damage to his Bel Air estate in a hit-and-run.

According to new legal docs obtained by TMZ, the famous director is suing Angelica Silver and Shayra LaFuente, who he claims were responsible for the 2016 Cadillac ATS crashing through his Bel Air property. We’re told Michael wasn’t home or even in the state at the time of the crash.

Bay says he thinks Shayra was driving under the influence at an excess and unsafe speed when the car drove over the curb in front of his property and caused a bunch of damage. Angelica is responsible for permitting Shayra to drive in her condition.

Hindsight is 20/20 for Terrence Howard -- 'cause he's looking back at the time he lost out on a massive Marvel payday ... because he threatened to knock the teeth out of a big-time producer.

Howard dished all on the “PBD Podcast," saying the drama started during the promo run for the film "The Brave One," when he confronted producer Joel Silver over why his name wasn’t billed above the title alongside Jodie Foster. Joel told him it was because TH had a supporting role ... an explanation Terrence says he understood, but he still reacted aggressively.

According to Howard, his temper flared, and he warned Silver that if he ever spoke to him like that again, he’d knock his teeth out. Yikes.

Christina Applegate gave an unflattering account of disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein in her new memoir "You With the Sad Eyes" ... and he had nothing but praise for her in return.

Here's the deal ... the actress and Multiple Sclerosis (MS) advocate wrote about a brief interaction with Harvey at a Hollywood party in her new book ... saying she called him out when she allegedly overheard him making distasteful remarks about another woman. She writes that Harvey was "definitely afraid" of her after that ... because she's a woman who doesn't mess around.

And, Harvey didn't deny a single thing about her account ... and is instead applauding her strength and honesty. Through a spokesperson, Harvey tells TMZ she's a "gifted actress and a powerful voice in Hollywood," adding ... "It’s good to see her sharing her story and her perspective in her own words." “I do not remember running into Christina Applegate or having that conversation.”

Rumors Quentin Tarantino was killed in a missile attack in Israel are all just BS -- and TMZ has learned the film director's family is just fine!

A source close to Quentin tells TMZ … “Quentin is alive and well and his family is all good too," despite speculation on X that he was blown up during an Iranian missile attack on Israel.

Over the weekend, the U.S. and Israel launched strikes against Iran, killing the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with other top government officials. Iran retaliated, firing ballistic missiles at Israeli and American bases around the world.

With "Scary Movie 6" hitting theaters this year, we got Carmen Electra to dish on how she thinks the raunchy film franchise will do in the age of "cancel culture."

Remember ... Carmen starred in the first installment of the film franchise in 2000, which contained at least one or two jokes that wouldn't pass today. But Carmen says the Wayans brothers are skilled enough to make a comedy for any time.

She told us, "I haven't seen the script, so I'm not exactly sure what the new 'Scary Movie' is exactly going to be about. But I think for the most part, it's so lighthearted and as long as it's in the right context, I think it'll be okay."

The insider said, “Throughout their 7.5-year relationship, they were inseparable and did everything together, including making movies, building houses" and more.

The source close to Jonathan denies he “used her” or that he claimed to “make her,” before adding that Jonathan was successful before the relationship with Sydney. “People change, people grow, and Jonathan wishes her only the best,” the source added.

The British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) just issued another apology ... amid the mounting headlines of how they fumbled the handling of a racial slur shouted during the major award show.

As we reported ... Tourette Syndrome activist John Davidson was heard shouting the N-word during Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo's presentation last night. Host Alan Cumming did his best to address the incident, but plenty were still heated about what happened and how it was addressed.

Clearly, the Academy felt the heat ... because the organization just dropped a full-throated apology, saying in part ... "We take full responsibility for putting our guests in a very difficult situation and we apologize to all. We will learn from this, and keep inclusion at the core of all we do, maintaining our belief in film and storytelling as a critical conduit for compassion and empathy."

Delroy Lindo is finally addressing that shocking moment at the BAFTAs -- and he’s making it clear he wasn’t thrilled with how it was handled.

The "Sinners" star says he wished someone from BAFTA personally checked in with him or Michael B. Jordan after Tourette Syndrome activist John Davidson yelled the N-word while they were onstage presenting at the BAFTAs Sunday evening.
