"Out of all the coaches that have coached, I wouldn't be surprised if they asked Spags to come back to lock down that defense and get an offensive-minded coordinator to take over the offense," Jennings told Babcock, referencing the former Giants defensive coordinator (and briefly interim HC).
"But, you know, sky's the limit for them guys," Rashad added, alluding to the young talent on the Giants roster, including Cam Skattebo ... who is expecting to return to the field next season after suffering a gruesome ankle injury against the Eagles late last month.

Jesse Palmer acknowledges Cam Skattebo's injury was a huge blow to the New York Giants ... but he tells TMZ Sports the G-Men have a lot to be excited about going forward, thanks to the rookie RB and quarterback Jaxson Dart!
We spoke to Palmer, former Giants QB-turned-'Bachelor' host, at a Raising Cane's Halloween event this week, and Jesse made it clear the days of losing could soon come to an end.
"The organization did such a good job in the draft finding these young players that are impact guys, but not just impact on the field, they're impacting sort of the culture around that organization," Palmer said.
"Really unfortunate with the injury, but I think for the Giants fan, at least, looking ahead with those two guys they can build around."
In fact, Palmer -- who played for the Giants from 2001 to 2004 -- compared Skatt to one of his former teammates, Jeremy Shockey, who brought a similar fire and intensity to the Big Apple during his rookie season.
We also talked to Palmer about his alma mater, the University of Florida, which just fired Gators head football coach Billy Napier after a 3-4 start.
Palmer believes he knows who can step into the role and reenergize the program.

Good news for Cam Skattebo -- the New York Giants rookie sensation is set to be released from the hospital on Monday, according to his dad, who tells TMZ Sports he's already on the road to recovery!
We spoke with Leo Skattebo Monday morning, just about 24 hours after Skatt suffered a gruesome ankle injury during the second quarter of the Giants vs. Eagles game at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia ... and he told us the plan was for his son to be discharged later today.
Given the serious nature of the injury -- a dislocated ankle that required emergency surgery -- it's an encouraging sign that Cam will get to leave the Philly hospital for his bed at home.

Cam Skattebo -- the New York Giants breakout rookie running back who has electrified their offense -- was carted off the field after a big hit seemingly left his ankle facing the wrong way.
The 23-year-old fourth-round pick out of Arizona State University took the field against the Philadelphia Eagles ... and, as he was running over the middle on a passing route, when a ball came his way -- and an Eagles defender dragged him down from behind.

Brian Daboll, Cam Skattebo Fined For Violating Concussion Protocol ... After Checking On Jaxson Dart
The NFL just handed down some hefty fines on the New York Giants, head coach Brian Daboll and rookie running back Cam Skattebo for violating the league's concussion protocol policy ... all for "creating the perception" they interfered with Jaxson Dart while he was being evaluated for a head injury.
It all stems from the team's Week 6 showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles ... when the Giants rookie QB was taken into the blue medical tent for a concussion test.

Only members of the medical staff and the unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant are allowed inside the tent. Daboll and Skattebo broke those rules ... which is a big no-no.

John Mara, the longtime owner of the New York Giants, just announced he was diagnosed with cancer ... while vowing to fight like hell and beat the disease.
70-year-old Mara, who also serves as president and CEO of the organization, did not specify which form of cancer he's battling.
"I have recently been diagnosed with cancer and have been following the treatment plan recommended by an outstanding team of doctors," Mara said in a statement released by Big Blue.

Is the Jaxson Dart era in New York starting too early? Justin Pugh certainly appears to think so ... as the ex-Giants star tells TMZ Sports he would have preferred it if the rookie didn't assume the QB1 role until next year.
