Kristin Chenoweth -- who just quit "The Good Wife" after suffering a devastating injury on set last month -- was out and about in NYC today .... and by the looks of it a lawsuit may be looming.

TMZ broke the story ... Kristin was struck in the head by a piece of lighting equipment and rushed to the hospital by ambulance. At the time the NYFD said the injuries were "minor," and her people told us she was fine.

But apparently that's not the case, because she's wearing a neck brace a month after the accident.

Halle Berry found herself smack in the middle of a 911 emergency Sunday night in a Malibu restaurant -- when an old lady collapsed on the actress' table ... and couldn't get up.

Sources inside Taverna Tony restaurant tell TMZ, Halle was eating dinner with daughter Nahla and fiance Olivier Martinez -- when an old woman walked past their table and slipped, smacking her elbow on the way down.

According to sources, the woman couldn't move and someone called an ambulance.

Music legend Elton John bottomed out on a yacht in St. Tropez on Monday ... by flashing his lily-white ass to some unsuspecting peeps on a neighboring boat.

While goofing around on vacation with husband David Furnish and other pals, the Grammy winner dropped trou and exposed his 65-year-old backside to another boat ... which reportedly belongs to actor Michael Caine.
