Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry seems to finally get it ... Steven Tyler's gig on "American Idol" is good for the band.

Perry was at LAX yesterday when he was asked how he felt about Tyler returning to "A.I." as a judge. Perry replied, "It's tough having your lead singer have a day job .. but ya know, what can you do?"

But when asked if he would ever PERFORM on the show ... Perry said, "Yeah, that could probably happen."

It's a big change for Perry ... who slammed the show back in 2010 as an advertising machine that's only "one step above Ninja Turtles."

Katy Perry's evangelical father has been MUZZLED ... telling photogs he's under orders to keep his mouth shut about his daughter's divorce from Russell Brand.

Perry's dad Keith Hudson was out grocery shopping in Irvine, CA Friday -- hours after Brand filed for divorce -- when he told the paps, "I can't talk ... I can't talk to you ... sorry about that."

Unless your New Year's Eve party featured Steven Tyler and Alice Cooper on the same stage performing the classic song "Come Together" ... you were not at the coolest NYE around.

Tyler and Cooper performed at Mala Restaurant in Wailea, Hawaii ... and Cooper can be seen reading the lyrics to keep up with Tyler, who covered the classic Beatles track with Aerosmith back in 1978. Watch closely for a Weird Al cameo as well.

Tyler also performed "Sweet Emotion" and "Walk This Way."

Ashton Kutcher left a Berlin party last night with not one, not two ... but THREE chicks! Aahh, the single life.

Ashton was spotted kicking it with a mystery brunette inside a house party -- he had a smoke while they shared a glass of wine. He eventually left with her and two other women in a chauffeur driven BMW. Later, he and the brunette walked into a swanky Berlin apartment ... alone.

FYI -- Kercher was murdered 4 years ago today. One man, Rudy Guede, still remains behind bars ... convicted of participating in her death.

A sad-looking Kim Kardashian faced the media last night ... a MASSIVE swarm of paparazzi waiting for her at LAX, which fired off questions faster than Kim could end a marriage.

Kim got the hell out of Dodge, boarding a plane to Australia ... without her wedding ring.

Meanwhile, back in Beverly Hills ... Bruce Jenner told photogs, "Kim's doing great."
When the photogs mentioned that he'd be losing a son-in-law, Bruce actually seemed bummed out. Sad.
