White House Shooting Gunman Had Prior Run-Ins With Secret Service
The 21-year-old gunman killed by Secret Service agents outside the White House reportedly had a history of troubling encounters with law enforcement before the deadly shootout Saturday.
According to CNN, Nasire Best had multiple previous run-ins with the Secret Service, including one incident where he was involuntarily committed to a psychiatric hospital after allegedly blocking vehicle entry to part of the White House in 2025.
Court records, cited by the outlet, say Best was stopped again weeks later after allegedly walking into a restricted area outside the White House, where he reportedly told officers he was Jesus Christ and wanted to be arrested.

Two teenagers are suspected of shooting up the San Diego Islamic Center, killing three before taking their own lives, and cops say one of the boys' mothers told them he was suicidal and her guns and car were missing hours before the attack.
San Diego police say one of the suspects is a 17-year-old San Diego high school student ... and his mom called them to report a runaway juvenile who left with a companion dressed in camouflage.
Cops say they were interviewing the mother and searching for the teen when the first shots rang out Monday at San Diego's largest mosque.

Update
1:12 PM: SDPD wrote on X that the threat has been "neutralized." And according to NBC 7 ... high-level law enforcement sources from local agencies confirmed that 2 suspects are reported dead and three men have been killed.
Police are responding to reports of an active shooter at a mosque in San Diego, according to San Diego Police Department.
Authorities say the situation is "still active but contained" ... explaining there are "significant resources" on site.
SDPD say they're on the scene at the Islamic Center of San Diego in Clairemont, and are encouraging people to avoid the area. According to NBC 7, a shelter-in-place was ordered.
San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria said on X he's aware there's an active shooter and is getting updates from law enforcement.
He wrote ... "Emergency personnel are on scene and actively working to protect the community and secure the area."
California Governor Gavin Newsom has also been briefed. His press office wrote on X that the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services is working with local law enforcement.

Reports say only one person has died ... but SDPD hasn't provided information about any potential victims.

The man being wheeled away is pointing around the area ... seemingly telling a story to the woman in a red polo walking swiftly alongside the transport.

Missouri football player Ahmad Hardy suffered a gunshot wound while attending a concert in Mississippi over the weekend ... and the running back is now in stable condition after undergoing surgery.

Alleged WHCD Gunman Cole Allen Pleads Not Guilty of Trying to Kill the President
The alleged White House Correspondents' Dinner gunman is claiming he's innocent ... pleading not guilty Monday morning to charges tied to the terrifying D.C. shooting incident that sent President Donald Trump and other top officials scrambling for safety last month.
Cole Allen appeared in federal court and pleaded not guilty to all charges stemming from the April 25 chaos at the Washington Hilton Hotel ... where prosecutors say he stormed a security checkpoint armed with multiple guns, knives and extra ammunition near the high-profile event.
A grand jury indicted Allen on charges of attempting to kill the president, assaulting a federal officer with a deadly weapon, and weapons counts, according to NewsNation. His federal public defender spoke on his behalf, saying he "pleads not guilty to all four counts as charged," NBC News reports.
According to officials, the 31-year-old exchanged gunfire with a U.S. Secret Service officer after allegedly rushing the checkpoint. The agent was shot once in the chest but survived thanks to a ballistic vest and was later released from the hospital. Allen was not hit during the exchange.

The man accused of shooting up the White House Correspondents' Dinner wants some top government lawyers cut from the case ... arguing there's a conflict of interest because they were at the event and among those allegedly targeted.
Attorneys for Cole Allen submitted a motion Thursday night asking the judge to disqualify U.S. Attorney for D.C. Jeanine Pirro and acting Attorney General Todd Blanche because they're "purported victims and witnesses in this case." The motion cites Justice Department rules advising employees to recuse themselves from criminal investigations where they may have a conflict of interest.
His legal team further argues Pirro and Blanche have a personal relationship with President Donald Trump and have made numerous media appearances -- such as a CNN interview by Pirro -- and social media posts about being at the shooting, exemplifying a personal interest.

The man who was arrested after a shooting outside Chris Brown's Los Angeles home has been fired from his position on the singer's security detail ... TMZ has learned.
TMZ broke the story ... cops responded Friday to a shooting outside Chris' Tarzana property, where a man was taken into custody following a confrontation with a woman. Now we're told that person was on Chris' security staff.
Law enforcement sources tell us the man worked security for Chris and was stationed at the home when the situation unfolded, but we're told he's no longer part of the team following the incident.
Beverly Hills Car Chase Armed Suspect Arrested And Hostage Freed
An hours-long standoff finally came to an end early Monday morning when a man wanted for attempted murder of a cop was taken into custody following a SWAT team response ... hours after releasing a hostage from his truck.
Watch the video ... police say the standoff started when the suspect refused to get out of his truck Sunday afternoon ... hours after a traffic stop led to a deputy being clipped by a vehicle very early Sunday morning. And the suspect was holding a woman hostage inside the truck.
A SWAT team later responded, and the standoff lasted almost all night ... and you can see cops were shooting off flash-bangs.
The whole thing began around 3 AM Sunday morning ... a Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy tried to detain a man during a traffic stop in an area of south L.A. ... that's when the unidentified man took off in his pickup truck and allegedly struck the deputy.
That prompted a warrant for attempted murder ... the deputy sustained minor injuries but was not hospitalized, according to ABC7.
Alleged WHCD Gunman Cole Allen Judge, Tell Authorities to Remove Suicide Precautions
Cole Allen -- the White House Correspondents' Dinner shooting suspect -- has asked a judge to remove the suicide precautions currently in place ... claiming they're a violation of his rights.
Allen's lawyers say that while he was being booked into the D.C. Jail on Monday, members of the Department of Correction intake team didn't note any suicide risk factors.
Despite this, Allen's team claims "suicide precautions" were recommended ... and he was assigned to a "safe cell."
