Sophie Cunningham isn't sitting out the debate over WNBA teams skipping the national anthem ... telling Theo Von she's proudly standing with the troops!

The hooper and comedian chatted on Theo's "This Past Weekend" podcast this week ... in the wake of the Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries bookin' it from the hardwood before "The Star-Spangled Banner" each and every game of the WNBA Finals.

Von asked Cunningham for his thoughts, and Sophie responded ... "You know who you're talking to?"

Paris Hilton is setting the record straight about her family's "Beauty and the Beast" Halloween costumes after receiving some backlash ... and, like the theme of the film, appearances can be a bit deceiving.

It all started when Paris shared a sweet family pic of her as Belle, her husband Carter Reum as the Beast, son Phoenix as Lumiere, and daughter London as Chip. The internet was quick to rip Paris for being the princess and dressing her daughter up as a cup.

Responding to critics who claim that she should have let her kids be Belle and the Beast ... Paris revealed that not only is the Disney classic one of her kids' favorite movies, but London wanted to dress up as the teacup.

Tyler Perry is fighting his sexual assault accuser, Mario Rodriguez, in court over his private texts ... TMZ has learned.

According to court docs, obtained by TMZ, Tyler says he turned over private texts with associates to Mario as part of their legal battle. The director said he wanted those messages to remain confidential, like they previously agreed.

He said the messages should be private because some of the convos talk about financial matters.

Tyler says he and the associates he was texting believed their conversations were private … and Mario has no right to release them. He says his associates have nothing to do with the case at hand and disclosure of their texts would cause unnecessary annoyance and embarrassment.

Nicki Minaj is taking her beef with Democrats to a whole new level ... absolutely unloading on New York Governor Kathy Hochul ... calling her an "evil woman" as the state's race for governor heats up.

The rapper went scorched earth on Hochul in a series of posts on X Wednesday ... declaring the Democratic Party should essentially give up on the governor ahead of Tuesday's election.

"Kathy Hochul is an evil woman," Nicki wrote ... warning that even if Hochul wins reelection, she'll be trouble for her own party.

According to court documents, obtained by TMZ, a Florida judge issued the temporary injunction Monday, ordering Tia to stay at least 500 feet away from Sire and prohibiting her from contacting him directly or indirectly, including through social media.

The judge didn't stop there ... Tia is also prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition and must surrender any weapons in her possession to law enforcement upon being served with the order.
