The "Full House" star appeared on "TODAY" Wednesday morning, where he confirmed he had been diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma ... a type of blood cancer that starts in the lymphatic system.

While speaking with Hoda Kotb about his diagnosis, the actor revealed he received the diagnosis 5 weeks ago ... which prompted him to undergo 3 surgeries and receive several rounds of chemotherapy.

Madeline, one of Matthew's sisters, made the point that Matthew might not have even been aware he had relapsed. He was coming off a stretch of sobriety during and after his book tour, and was taking ketamine for therapeutic purposes. Perry then started getting ketamine on the black market and was taking massive doses on his own.

Hoda Kotb is saying so long to the "Today" show.

Hoda just shared a letter to the "Today" staff, telling them she will be exiting her cohosting gig after 5 years alongside Savannah Guthrie and Jenna Bush Hager. Kotb took over the role from Matt Lauer in 2017 after he was fired over sexual misconduct.

She explained her tough decision on-air Thursday -- and got weepy as she gave her reasons.

Jasveen Sangha, who federal prosecutors allege is a drug dealer known as the "Ketamine Queen," has NO association with Matthew Perry, despite being charged in connection with his death ... at least according to her attorney.

Mark Geragos' firm is representing Sangha and he went on the "Today" show Wednesday morning and tried to distance Sangha from the late "Friends" actor, who died from a ketamine overdose.

When asked how Sangha linked up with Matthew in the first place, Geragos vehemently denied they were ever connected, saying point blank ... "She isn't connected to Matthew Perry at all."

Hoda Kotb's totally open to dating Kevin Costner -- now that she's found out fans have been shipping them together since she interviewed him a couple weeks ago.

On Tuesday's "Watch What Happens Live," a fan asked Hoda how she felt about fans wanting the romance and if she and Kevin have connected since the "Today" show last month. Totally shocked, she responded, "Wait, what?"

Andy Cohen elaborated viewers wanted to see the two of them together -- but Hoda was adamant she hadn't heard a peep of any of it.

Meagan Good is doing good -- in fact, she's never been happier dating Jonathan Majors, despite every friend telling her to steer clear because of his legal troubles.

Speaking on "Today With Hoda and Jenna," Meagan made it clear people can advise her all they want, but at the end of the day, she marches to the beat of her own drum -- insisting she feels a lot of peace in her heart with any decision she makes, and that includes dating JM.

Like the seasoned pro she is, Hoda rolled with the wardrobe malfunction and addressed the situation head-on.

The actor made it clear on "TODAY" Monday that he loved his hit show from day one, and still does ... so he'd definitely re-open the window for Paramount's Western epic -- but he notes ... without scripts all ready to go, it might be difficult to do that.

Kevin says script delays pissed him off to the point that he felt he needed to leave the show -- noting they lost a full year without anything to show for it ... and that's a no-no for him.

Kelly Rowland is passing on an opportunity to explain exactly what happened on the "Today" show ... and as she makes clear here, she only wants to discuss her new movie.

The singer was directly asked about her recent "Today" controversy during an interview Wednesday with WGN News in Chicago -- where she was plugging her upcoming movie, "Mea Culpa" ... and based on this alone, you can tell she ain't gonna spill the beans.

The news anchor asks Kelly if she can clear up what happened on "Today" -- because, as he notes, there's all these different reasons out there as to why she bailed on cohosting the show. Remember, some suggested she was actually peeved over Beyoncé questions.

Anyway, Kelly sticks to her guns here ... and kinda dug her heels in on refusing to talk about it -- and we'll be honest, it's kinda awkward. Check it out ... she says straight up, nah.

Kelly explains that she's not going to talk about it because she wants to keep the spotlight on her new Netflix film ... though she does say she loves the "Today" show and Hoda Kotb.

Like we said ... it's bizarre that continues to refuse to just address the elephant in the room. In fact, you could argue that her trying to ignore it is only making the legend grow -- and at this point, it seems to be all anyone wants to talk about ... even though she insists on just promoting. On its face, her strategy seems to be backfiring ... but she's not cluing into this.

While Kelly's not getting into the deets -- we did get to the bottom of this ourselves ... as we first told you, the true reason why she bolted from the "Today" set was, in fact, the dressing room thing. Namely, her not being satisfied with NBC's rinky-dink rooms to get prepped.

Some have accused her of being a diva -- but Hoda and co. appear to be falling on the sword for Kelly ... profusely apologizing and begging her to come back, while also publicly acknowledging their dressing rooms do actually suck. It's been a little cringe to watch, TBH.

Of course, Hoda and them have since invited Kelly back ... and they're hoping for a whole do-over, with refurbished and upgraded dressing rooms ready for the Destiny's Child alum.

Based on what Kelly's saying here ... it sounds like she might, perhaps, take 'em up on it.
