Southwest passengers had to make a detour for a security-related issue ... which ended with cops rushing onto their plane guns blazing.

Video is circulating online that captured the moment that went down Friday ... after a flight leaving Nashville for Fort Lauderdale had to divert to Atlanta.

Check out the clip ... multiple officers outfitted in full tactical gear head down the narrow aisle way toward the back of the plane -- before wrenching a man out of his seat and slapping cuffs on him.

Watch the clip ... you can see the balloon is basically ripped to shreds ... which makes you think they may have been lucky to get caught hanging hundreds of feet above ground --instead of hurtling towards the earth!

In an interview with KLTV, the Longview Fire Department said its firefighters had trained for a hot air balloon incident ... but not like this. Due to the height of the tower, 6 different rope systems had to be used, KLTV reported. A total of 35 firefighters reportedly responded, including 14 that were deployed on the tower and 21 on the ground.

Thankfully, both balloonists reportedly were able to get safely to the ground.

McDonald’s just rolled out its hulking new "Big Arch" burger -- but don’t look to the Golden Arches' top dog for a glowing review ... 'cause the CEO can barely seal the deal with a bite on camera.

In the now-viral clip getting roasted online, Chris Kempczinski starts off singing the burger’s praises -- then somehow seems caught off guard by the crispy onions ... before finally gearing up for the big bite, and barely making a dent.

The whole thing feels like corporate cosplay -- with Chris repeatedly calling the towering burger a "product" … then visibly panicking over how to physically tackle it.

Bhad Bhabie gave fans a devastating health update Saturday ... she insinuated her battle with a form of blood cancer isn't over.

The "Gucci Flip Flop" rapper posted on X ... "Bad news from my doctor yesterday, god has the last say so not my cancer."
