A security guard for Drakeo the Ruler who says he was working for the rapper in late 2021 alleges he saw YG with a knife during the brawl that took Drakeo's life.

In a deposition from March 19, 2025, Alrick Cooper III -- a member of Drakeo's security detail at the Once Upon a Time in L.A. festival on December 18, 2021 -- swore YG was “front and center” during the fight, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Cooper claims YG was one of three men carrying what he said appeared to be short, improvised knives.

Lil Wayne says he has a pilot in his corner … in his battle with his ex-assistant over an alleged private jet assault, TMZ has learned. 

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, the rapper said the pilot was recently deposed … and refuted the claims made by Wayne's former assistant, Andrew Williams. 

Andrew sued Wayne back in 2022, claiming the rapper punched him while onboard a private jet. Andrew said the incident went down when he tried to intervene to stop Wayne and the pilot from fighting. 

In new docs, the Lollipop rapper said the pilot "impeached" Andrew's version of events. 

Diddy got into a fight with a fellow inmate at his federal lockup in New Jersey -- and, after all the dust settled, he wound up in solitary confinement, TMZ has learned.

Multiple sources tell us Sean "Diddy" Combs went toe to toe with the other inmate this week inside FCI Fort Dix in NJ. We're told things got heated after the inmate dissed Diddy, who then decided to take matters into his own hands.

Our sources say the two inmates got into a scuffle and started pushing each other and throwing jabs. We're told Diddy "held his own" during the brawl, which was quickly squashed by prison staff who separated both men.

Diddy's recent prison fight could end up undoing some of the good behavior credit he's already racked up ... so says the former warden of Rikers Island.

Howard Robertson -- a former New York City Department of Correction employee who rose to the top job at one of New York's most notorious federal pens -- joined us on "TMZ Live" Friday ... and he told Charles everything Diddy does behind bars is being scrutinized, including the brawl.

Robertson says a judge will eventually look at his prison record and decide if he deserves credit for good behavior ... and this violent fight could be a serious strike against him.

YouTuber David Dobrik threw a huge birthday bash with Snoop Dogg in attendance ... and things got so crazy, someone called the cops.

Law enforcement tells TMZ ... LAPD responded to a loud party call after 10 PM Thursday in Sherman Oaks ... and officers hung around until the shindig settled down.

As you can see, Snoop even talked to the fuzz for a bit ... snapping photos with cops and shaking their hands.

In the end, we're told there were no arrests or citations issued.

YG's staying 'bool, balm and bollected' after being detained by police ... mentioning his run-in with cops during his rap battle with The Game ... and brushing it off like it's NBD.

The rapper showed up for a VERZUZ battle Thursday ... only hours after he was detained while law enforcement executed a search warrant tied to a murder investigation ... and he addressed the issue on stage.

YG told The Game ... "I almost didn't make it to this motherf***er" ... a clear reference to his detainment.

Chris Brown was just convicted in a court of law ... after pleading guilty to attacking a music producer in a London nightclub three years ago, TMZ has confirmed.

The rapper and his co-defendant, Omololu Akinlolu, appeared Friday in London's Southwark Crown ​Court, where they copped to a charge of affray relating to an attack on Abraham Diaw in London's Tape ​nightclub in February 2023, according to a court spokesperson.

The two admitted they "used or ‌threatened unlawful violence towards another and their conduct taken together was such as would cause a person of reasonable firmness ... ​to fear ​for their ⁠personal safety."

Rapper YG had a run-in with cops Thursday morning during a SWAT response ... but he was ultimately released ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the SWAT team responded around 7 AM PT in Burbank, CA. YG was detained during the police response before officers eventually let him go.

Sources tell TMZ ... CHP was the lead agency on the matter and Burbank SWAT assisted.

We're told cops were executing a search warrant for the investigation into Drakeo the Ruler's murder -- the property is connected to YG, who had beef with the late rapper but has denied any involvement.

A CHP official tells TMZ ... YG was not arrested ... he was detained during the search warrant and released.

Offset scored a light sentence as part of the criminal case accusing the rapper of assaulting a weed shop security guard ... TMZ has learned. 

Court records obtained by TMZ show Offset, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, was ordered to serve 12 months of probation. 

In addition, Offset was ordered to stay away from the weed dispensary where the scrap took place, not make threats against any person, and not own or possess any dangerous weapon.

Offset will also have to pay an undetermined amount of restitution, perform community service, and complete an anger management class.
