Gia dropped by the Virtual Reali-Tea podcast and took some time to light Ava up for saying Teresa unfollowed her on social media ... apparently a major slight in their world.

The way Gia sees it ... Ava's swipe at Teresa was a "convenient" distraction from her father Damon Dash's money troubles ... ripping her costar as "nasty" for the move.

WSB-TV in Atlanta also reported that Maris Nichols, a 25-year-old ex-teacher at Alexander High School in Douglasville, GA, was wearing a "Jesus Loves You" sweatshirt in a video that allegedly showed her having sex with one of the students.

Nichols was arrested last month and charged with multiple counts of sexual assault by a person with supervisory or disciplinary authority, authorities said. She was initially charged with having sex with a student inside a school closet and a parked vehicle. Several weeks later, Nichols was hit with a bunch of other charges including one count of tampering with evidence and four counts of grooming of a minor

As we reported, the judge in his New York State murder trial revealed Wednesday ... Luigi's lawyers were mounting a novel defense called Extreme Emotional Disturbance. Short story -- it essentially means he was out of his head when he shot and killed United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

TMZ has reported extensively on Mangione's obsession with corporate greed ... and the defense planned to argue that obsession created an altered state in which Luigi felt he fired the gun to save humanity. If the jury bought the argument, it would reduce the murder charge to manslaughter.
