The Nancy Guthrie ransom note TMZ received was the real deal, according to the FBI, but contrary to new reports, it did not contain an apology or a revelation she was dead.

There is something else ... TMZ received close to a dozen emails from a man claiming he knew both the identity of the kidnappers and the location of Nancy. The initial email he sent -- just days after the kidnapping -- said he would provide information in return for a single bitcoin, but "time is of the essence." He made it clear -- he was not a kidnapper.

The next day, he sent another email saying "time is no longer of the essence." Translation -- Nancy was no longer alive. The man continued to send emails, saying the kidnappers took Nancy to Mexico. He said he needed the money because he would have to go underground for fear of retribution. He was also concerned authorities might try to implicate him in the kidnapping.

Comedian Carlos Mencia just appeared in court for his felony tax case ... and he entered a not guilty plea to all 12 charges against him.

Prosecutors say Carlos -- born Ned Arnel Holness -- failed to report $8.7 million in income and owes more than $300K in unpaid state taxes ... and he faces more than a decade behind bars if convicted on all 12 counts.

Carlos did get some good news during Monday's hearing ... authorities tell TMZ his bail amount was reduced from $250,000 to $50,000 -- welcome news, no doubt, because the comic has been cooling his heels in an L.A. jail cell since last week's arrest.

Officials are looking into assault allegations made against New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith over the weekend ... with police telling TMZ Sports the case is currently under review.

A woman named Kristen went to social media on Sunday to drop the shocking claims ... saying, "Today is the DAY! GENO SMITH beat my ass cause he HATES taking care of his special needs kid and can't be left alone with him because he'd rather watch s*x online and play Call of Duty."

The post also included a video of the two arguing ... with Smith on the phone with an unidentified individual saying, "She just called the police."

Tyler Perry's male sexual assault accuser claims the star refuses to sit for a deposition unless there's a guarantee Tyler won't be asked about his sexual orientation ... but Tyler's lawyer is calling BS.

According to court docs obtained by TMZ, Mario Rodriguez wants the director sanctioned for failing to appear for a depo … which he claims to have been trying to take since April 14.

Mario said Tyler and his lawyer told him Tyler would only appear if they agreed not to ask Tyler whether he is, or has been, sexually attracted to men … a subject they say Tyler insists is "irrelevant and inflammatory."

Timothy Busfield wants his indictment thrown out ... telling a judge the prosecutors' presentation of evidence to the grand jury failed to tell the whole story.

The actor filed papers asking a judge to toss the grand jury indictment because the state of New Mexico has "abdicated its role in administering justice" and is blindly pursuing an indictment against him.

Busfield says prosecutors are well aware of an independent investigation into the allegations against him conducted by Warner Bros. that he says found nothing to back those allegations, a lie detector test Busfield passed in which he said he never inappropriately touched one of the alleged victims, and multiple witness affidavits defending him ... but has chosen to ignore all of that.

Armie Hammer is comparing his cancellation saga to a biblical crucifixion ... and when the allegations against him exploded, he felt like he was being nailed to the cross.

The actor opened up in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, revealing his late father wanted to go on the attack and fight back against the people accusing him of cannibalism fantasies and sexual misconduct. But Armie says he urged him not to do so.

According to Armie, he told his father ... "Look, dude, I'm already on the cross. The nails are in my hands. I'm not getting off this cross no matter what we do. And the more I struggle, the longer I'm going to be up here."

Diddy plans to fight a lawsuit claiming he had sex with minors ... and he's pursuing all avenues the legal system has to offer.

Diddy's spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer, responded to a recent lawsuit from a John Doe who claims he was a child actor when Diddy allegedly assaulted him, telling TMZ … "This is a lie and completely made up. Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone."

Engelmayer added ... "These allegations will be disproven like all of the rest. He is going to pursue all avenues he can to defend himself and make sure those who start and spread lies are held responsible."

A source close to Diddy clarifies Engelmayer is talking about pursuing legal avenues against Diddy's accusers.

Crispin Glover believes he's the real victim in a lawsuit filed against him by an ex-girlfriend … and now he's countersuing.

The "Back to the Future" star filed a cross-complaint against his ex last week … claiming she "violently attacked" him and made illegal recordings of him during their brief stint living together.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, the actor says at one point -- while the woman was staying with him -- she asked him to lie to people and tell them they'd gotten married in an Islamic ceremony. He says she started acting "erratically" when he refused.

Big Tigger's latest headline has nothing to do with radio ... it's a police investigation involving his wife, Alicia Brown, and cops say he's the prime suspect in an alleged assault.

According to police documents obtained by TMZ, Brown was involved in an alleged assault during a May incident that prompted authorities to open a domestic dispute investigation. The records identify Big Tigger -- the longtime radio personality and former host of BET's iconic "Rap City," whose real name is Darian Morgan -- as the suspect.

Dispatch records show Brown sought medical treatment for her injuries before police were contacted and an investigation was launched. She was later transported to a hospital ... though authorities noted her injuries were not considered life-threatening.

"Teen Mom" star Ryan Edwards' marriage may have been in far rougher shape than fans realized ... because his wife Amanda Conner told a 911 dispatcher they were in the middle of a divorce.

Just one day after she was arrested on a DUI charge last month, Amanda called 911 requesting an officer accompany her while she collected belongings from the home she shared with Ryan.

In audio obtained by The Ashley's Reality Roundup, Amanda can be heard telling the dispatcher, "Me and my husband are in the middle of a divorce and ... and I just don’t feel comfortable."

Stefon Diggs is being ordered to finally explain how he knows the man accusing him of sexual assault ... because a federal judge says calling him an "acquaintance" just isn't good enough.

According to new court documents, obtained by TMZ Sports, the judge ruled on a series of discovery disputes last week in Diggs' ongoing legal battle with Christopher Blake Griffith ... the man who has accused the NFL star of drugging and sexually assaulting him in 2023 ... allegations Diggs has repeatedly denied.

Lenny Hochstein plans to use video footage, text messages and other evidence he says paint a dramatically different picture than the one described in a sexual assault lawsuit against him ... TMZ has learned.

In the footage, the woman -- who alleges he drugged and sexually assaulted her at his Star Island home -- appears to do a little dance outside the front door before walking to an Uber.

Hochstein's lawyer, Lorne Berkeley, tells TMZ ... "Dr. Hochstein categorically denies the allegations asserted against him. We possess evidence that we believe materially contradicts the claims and evidence that will be presented in the appropriate legal forum."

Crispin Glover is firing back at the ex-girlfriend who accused him of turning her into a "sex slave" ... claiming her lawsuit is a money-motivated attack built on false allegations.

The "Back to the Future" star filed new court docs, obtained by TMZ, asking a judge to strike part of his ex's lawsuit ... and he's offering a dramatically different version of what happened between them.

As TMZ previously reported, the woman sued Crispin in February, alleging he lured her from the UK to Los Angeles with promises of a new life and career in Hollywood before using her as a live-in girlfriend, unpaid assistant, and "sex slave." She also claimed he later filed a false police report and sought a fraudulent restraining order against her.

11:41 AM PT -- Lenny Hochstein tells TMZ ... "I have never drugged or raped anyone in my life. This is an encounter I had over a year ago. There are multiple witnesses. If she believes she was raped she should go to the police. Not try to sue me for money. There is a video of her leaving my home the next day smiling and dancing. That is not the behavior of someone who believes she was raped."

Lenny Hochstein is being accused of turning a glamorous Miami night into a nightmare ... according to a new lawsuit filed by a Jane Doe.

According to court documents, obtained by TMZ, the woman claims the celebrity plastic surgeon lured her to his Star Island mansion under the guise of an exclusive afterparty ... then gave her a drug and sexually assaulted her.

In the lawsuit, Doe says she was visiting Miami from London in May 2025 when she met a younger man at Sopra Club. She claims he invited her to a private afterparty on Star Island, but when she arrived, there was no party.

The woman alleges Hochstein repeatedly hit on her and later gave her a pill he described as a common sleep aid. She claims she trusted him because he was a doctor and took the pill.

Drake Von's female accuser gives a disturbing account of his alleged attack in newly released body camera footage, telling cops she couldn't breathe and briefly lost consciousness.

In the footage, obtained by TMZ, the woman tells Las Vegas cops Von was on top of her and she couldn't breathe as she tried to get him off. She says she eventually kicked him and broke free, but claims Von snatched her cellphone during the struggle.

The woman says she believes she briefly blacked out after Von allegedly restricted her breathing, telling officers she couldn't remember anything for about two seconds.

She claims Von then slammed her to the ground, refused to return her phone, and told her to get on her knees and beg if she really wanted it back.

Gay porn star Drake Von is firing back at allegations he strangled his female partner ... blasting the criminal charges against him as a bunch of crap!!!

In a statement, Von — whose real name is Dawson Bacon — tells TMZ ... "All allegations are false, charges will be dropped, and it was all a misunderstanding." He adds, "Content will be made soon about it" and tells us it's all a "Publicity stunt 🥴."

Nevada authorities view the situation much differently ... as we first reported, Von was arrested Tuesday after cops in Las Vegas claimed he tried to strangle his female partner at a palatial million-dollar home. Police would not disclose further details.
