1:39 PM PT -- It didn't take too long for Tagovailoa to find a new home ... the Atlanta Falcons are reportedly signing the quarterback to a one-year minimum deal.

It won't be official until he's released on Wednesday.

Tua Tagovailoa's time in Miami is over -- the Dolphins have decided they will release the quarterback after six seasons and two playoff appearances.

The news came out minutes ago that just two seasons after Tagovailoa -- the fifth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft -- signed a four-year extension worth $212 million ... the team is looking for a new leader under center.

The Dolphins will release the signal-caller as a post-June 1 cut ... leaving them an NFL-record $99 million in dead money to spread over two years.

"Wearing this jersey and representing this city has been one of the greatest joys of my life," Tagovailoa said after the news.

Paramedics rushing to the mass shooting in Austin, Texas early Sunday got blocked by a Waymo vehicle ... preventing EMS from rapidly responding to the crime scene to provide aid, according to a new report.

Austin's KXAN-TV reports ... Matthew Turnage ordered a Waymo using his Uber app around 2 AM after he left a club near Buford's Backyard Beer ... where 2 people had just been shot to death and 14 others injured. 

As the Waymo was trying to pick up Turnage and his friends, the self-driving taxi reportedly stopped in the middle of the street, blocking an ambulance and emergency service personnel from getting to Buford's quickly to help the victims.

The Texas mass shooter who killed 2 people and injured 14 others had potential ties to terrorism ... as new footage has emerged showing the horrific aftermath of the attack, according to media reports.

Ndiaga Diagne -- a 53-year-old American citizen born in Senegal -- went on an early Sunday morning shooting rampage at Buford's Backyard Beer Garden in Austin, TX ... leaving a trail of dead and wounded in his wake, police said.

Video surfaced online capturing the chaotic scene after the shooting, with paramedics giving CPR to victims on the ground.

Four people aboard a speedboat registered in Florida are dead after a shootout with Cuban troops in Cuban territorial waters ... according to Cuba's government.

The deadly shootout happened Wednesday morning near an island in Cuba's Villa Clara province on the country's northern coast ... according to a statement from Cuba's Ministry of the Interior.

Cuba says people onboard the Florida-registered speedboat opened fire against a Cuban coast guard vessel that approached them ... the commander of the Cuban vessel was injured by gunfire ... according to the Cubans. In addition to the four people killed, six other people on board the speedboat were wounded in the shootout.

The British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) just issued another apology ... amid the mounting headlines of how they fumbled the handling of a racial slur shouted during the major award show.

As we reported ... Tourette Syndrome activist John Davidson was heard shouting the N-word during Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo's presentation last night. Host Alan Cumming did his best to address the incident, but plenty were still heated about what happened and how it was addressed.

Clearly, the Academy felt the heat ... because the organization just dropped a full-throated apology, saying in part ... Eric Dane has died at the age of 53, following a battle with ALS, TMZ has learned.

The family says in a statement to TMZ ... "With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed on Thursday afternoon following a courageous battle with ALS. He spent his final days surrounded by dear friends, his devoted wife, and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world. Throughout his journey with ALS, Eric became a passionate advocate for awareness and research, determined to make a difference for others facing the same fight. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always. Eric adored his fans and is forever grateful for the outpouring of love and support he’s received. The family has asked for privacy as they navigate this impossible time.”

The "Grey's Anatomy" star announced he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, commonly referred to as ALS, back in April 2025.

Chris Paul -- a 12-time NBA All-Star and future Hall of Famer -- is officially retiring, bringing an end to an era!

Paul announced his decision on Friday, just shortly after the Toronto Raptors released him following a three-team trade with the Clippers last week.

"This is it," Paul started. "After over 21 years, I'm stepping away from basketball."

Savannah Guthrie and her family say they will pay the ransom for the return of their mother, Nancy.

The NBC anchor and her family released a video Saturday afternoon in which they directly address the people allegedly holding their mother captive ... saying they received their message, and they will pay the demanded dollar figure.

Nancy was last seen when a family member dropped her off at her Tucson home on Saturday, January 31. We and several other news outlets received an alleged ransom note earlier this week which contained two deadlines.

Bombshell allegation in the latest Epstein Files document release ... an underage girl claims she was forced to perform oral sex on Donald Trump approximately 35 years ago in New Jersey.

The allegation is from a document in the files that describes a tip that was sent to the feds.

The complaint summary says the feds were told the underage girl was approximately 13-14 years old when the alleged incident occurred, and it says the alleged victim "allegedly bit President Trump while performing oral sex" and was "allegedly hit in the face after she laughed about biting President Trump."

How's this for a Friday news dump ... the Department of Justice just released millions of documents from the Jeffrey Epstein Files, plus a couple thousand videos and hundreds of thousands of images.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche says the DOJ released more than 3 million pages of docs ... in addition to 180,000 images and 2,000 videos.

Unclear what's in the massive document dump ... but TMZ will be poring through them for any and all relevant and juicy nuggets.

Sha'Carri Richardson is no stranger to going fast ... but this time, instead of winning her a medal, the prize was a pair of handcuffs for the U.S. track star, who was arrested in Florida for excessive speeding.

25-year-old Richardson was busted Thursday in the Orlando area after cops say she was operating her vehicle recklessly, with the arresting agency -- the Orange County Sheriff's Office -- taking her in on one charge of dangerous excessive speeding, meaning she was allegedly travelling at least 100 miles per hour.

A spokesperson for OCSO says Sha'Carri was “dangerously tailgating and travelling across lanes of travel to pass other motorists.”

A 20-year-old man was shot in the neck inside a campus building at a state university in New York ... and police are searching for the shooter.

State Police say the shooting went down Monday afternoon on the SUNY Morrisville campus ... with shots ringing out inside the South Hall dormitory.

Troopers responded to a 911 call and found a 20-year-old man -- who is not a student -- suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck ... and he was rushed to a hospital.

Diddy has finally received his sentence ... Judge Arun Subramanian has ordered him to serve a little over 4 years in a federal prison.

The sentence came down Friday and it is longer than what Diddy wanted ... remember, his legal team asked the judge for a 14-month sentence while prosecutors wanted him to serve 11 years behind bars. He was ultimately given 50 months.
