Shane Gillis won't have to worry about getting punished for dropping an F-bomb while hosting "Saturday Night Live" ... because we're told the show is not gonna hit him with a ban.

The stand-up comedian hosted 'SNL' this weekend and, during a Dr. Seuss themed sketch, Shane let the f-word rip ... and slipped in an apology at the end of the sketch.

A source close to the show tells us ... "Shane was very apologetic for dropping the F-bomb, and he even apologized to producers backstage." The source said the incident was "purely an accident" and "accidents happen."

We're told, "Shane will not be banned from the show."

"Schitt's Creek" star Dan Levy is super pissed at Shane Gillis over what he sees as Shane's misogynistic tone in his 'SNL' monologue.

Dan is blasting Shane for calling women "w*****s" who wear short shorts at the gym and encouraging more men to come forward to oppose this type of misogyny.

As you know, Shane hosted "Saturday Night Live" this weekend and, during his controversial opening monologue, he said he hadn't been to the gym lately, but that "women just dress like w****s now?"

Shane Gillis got himself in a little hot water on "Saturday Night Live" after he dropped the F-bomb during a live sketch -- and had to apologize for it later.

The comedian was last night's host on 'SNL' and, while playing the son of Cat in the Hat, played by Mikey Day, Gillis got into a back and forth with Sam I Am, played by Andrew Dismukes. Dismukes was trying to make Gillis' dad eat green eggs and ham for breakfast, sparking the funny, and accidentally foul-mouthed confrontation. 

Gillis defended his father, saying ... “Hey, what the hell is wrong with you? My dad said he doesn’t like them." But Dismukes kept pressing Gillis, prompting Gillis to say, “Bro, it’s a non-starter. He said he doesn’t f***ing ... Jeez -- like 'em."

Kevin Hart is used to making people laugh ... but his recent golf shot was no laughing matter -- because it landed right in the middle of a wedding reception ... FORE!!!

The actor and comedian was golfing with YouTuber Grant Horvat when he slashed a ball that went high through the air and bounced through the area being set up for the post-wedding ceremony.

Check out the video ... the ball rattles around and bounces back on the green -- miraculously not hitting anything or anyone, though Kevin does create a stir ... with wedding guests standing up to take a look at him.

It seems racist social media posts can't cancel Roseanne Barr forever ... because she's back on our TV screens and starring in a new comedy series.

According to Page Six, the controversial actress just wrapped production on her new TV show, "Meemaw."

The 8-episode comedy series reportedly centers around a "mixed-race family of preppers in Texas," and Roseanne -- playing the family's matriarch -- is determined to "throw her granddaughter the most fantastic bat mitzvah Texas has ever seen."

Sebastian Maniscalco is addressing the backlash over SiriusXM's decision to replace its Raw Comedy channel ... making it clear he wasn't involved in axing comedians on the platform.

The comedian took to Instagram Stories on Wednesday to say he hears and supports his fellow comics, adding he understands how difficult the grind can be because he's been there himself.

Sebastian said the decision to remove Raw Comedy was made by SiriusXM before he joined the lineup ... but he's now working with the company to showcase a wide range of stand-up voices, from newcomers and emerging talent to established comedians.

Sebastian Maniscalco taking over a SiriusXM comedy channel has caused an uproar with some comedians ... but the radio company is defending the famous comedian against the backlash, TMZ has learned.

The comedian took over Raw Comedy Channel earlier this year, which was a channel that focused on spotlighting a wider pool of lesser known comedians.

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... SiriusXM regularly reviews how its channels are performing and decided to pursue a new creative direction for the comedy channel while keeping comedy programming on the platform.

Reggie's sister, author Bernice McFadden, tells TMZ ... the U.S. State Department contacted their family Sunday and informed them that Reggie had died in Tanzania, where he had been living for approximately the last 18 years.

Bernice says the State Department did not indicate when or how Reggie had died. She also said Reggie had been estranged from his family for a while over "family s--t."

Disney President Dana Walden wants to make 2 things clear -- she's a huge Jimmy Kimmel fan, and trying to make late-night TV make business sense is no joke.

In a chat with Bloomberg's Screentime Thursday, Walden called late-night programming in general "very challenging" at that time slot ... Variety reported.

The Disney CCO added ... "That's not to say that Jimmy is not doing a phenomenal job, and his ratings are up, but they're up relative to a smaller audience that's watching late night on broadcast television."
