The Colorado judge handed down the sentence Friday in connection with an incident last year, when Tyler's young son was reportedly found wandering outside his mom's home.

Lauren addressed the judge on behalf of her son, asking for leniency. "Mercy is not softness," the U.S. Congresswoman said. "Mercy is the difference between correcting a father and orphaning a son during his most important hours."

A rock musician was shot to death and found Tuesday in Mexico, along with most of his family, including his pregnant wife and 3-year-old daughter, according to CNN.

The news outlet reported that Jonathan Meléndez, a 35-year-old keyboardist for indie rock band Camilo Séptimo, was gunned down with his wife, Ana Paula, 35, who was 4 months pregnant, inside their upscale home in Mexico City.

Melendez's young daughter was also fatally shot along with her 21-year-old nanny, CNN said, citing the Mexico Attorney General’s Office.

Carla Jeffery's brother is grieving his sister's tragic death by sharing a touching text he had sent her.

Carlon Jeffery took to Instagram to reveal he had texted the Disney alum, asking her to call him back. Carlon wrote ... "I was just calling to see how your day went! I love you to the moon & back sis."

He went on to give her words of encouragement, writing ... "I just want you to know how proud I am of you. Your resilience, your grace, your infectious smile that lights up a room. You are truly a light that shines bright."

Carlon continued by telling Carla to keep her head up when things get tough, saying ... "Don't let anyone.. dim that light.. even yourself. The light you carry is special and must be protected at all times."

He concluded ... "You are the best sister a brother could ask for. I pray we continue to grow closer to one another along this journey. I got your back in this life and the next."

It's unclear when exactly Carlon sent this message -- the screenshot cut off any sort of date and time stamp -- but it seems to be from before Carla died.

As you know, Carla's talent agency announced she died on Tuesday ... but so far, no word on her cause or manner of death. A family spokesperson tells us they're still awaiting autopsy, however they deny all rumors that Carla did drugs.

Rumer Willis scored a legal victory in her ongoing custody battle ... because a judge ruled her ex's visits with their daughter will remain supervised for now.

A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge ruled that Rumer's ex Derek Richard Thomas' visitation time with their 3-year-old, Louetta, will still be monitored, and the remaining issue of whether he can have overnight visits without a monitor will be addressed at a hearing on September 10.

For now, the judge says both parents should work together to agree on a monitor they trust to watch the visits ... and, if they can't do that, then the judge says a professional monitor will handle it.

Anderson filed court docs on September 2, telling the court he hashed out a deal with Jae over the division of their property and support. 

As TMZ first reported, Anderson filed for divorce in early 2024 after tying the knot in 2010. In his petition, the entertainer did not list a separation date in his filing.

According to court docs obtained by TMZ, a judge entered a temporary order prohibiting the estate from sending money from the late singer's estate and trust to any third parties, including in the form of donations to his foundation, scholarships, and other grants to third parties.

But Veleta Savannah -- who is D'Wayne's cousin and claims to be in charge of his trust and estate -- is pushing back in legal docs, claiming D’Wayne was examined by a doctor before his death … and found to be alert and capable of managing his affairs or directing others to do so on his behalf.
