A Georgia news station had a hard time getting Michael Penix Jr.'s name right in a lower third this week ... creating a scene that had plenty of grown adults giggling like school children.

Check out the way WTOC 11 in Savannah presented Penix Jr.'s press conference on its Wednesday evening broadcast ... it accidentally wrote Michael "Penis" Jr. on a graphic identifying the Falcons quarterback.

To be fair, the X and the S are close by on a keyboard -- and we're sure it's happened plenty of times to Atlanta reporters since the 25-year-old joined the team last year ... but social media users nonetheless ate it up.

The football player made quite the impression on various institutions over the course of his high school career -- and he ended up having to pick between a few universities while figuring out where he would make the biggest impact on the field.

We're going to take a look back at the college athlete's experience on the gridiron and see how he switched schools -- before he found the right place to make a name for himself.

LaNorris attended South Florence High School in South Carolina and was involved with the school's soccer and football programs.

The athlete helped lead the team to the S.C. High School League Class 4A championship game in 2022, where they came out on top over Northwestern High School.

Coach Drew Marlowe spoke about Sellers' performance at the matchup in an interview with SCNow, where he described the athlete as "unbelievable" and claimed the then-high schooler was "the best player in the state."

Sellers remained a bit more down-to-earth about the victory, stating the team "just had to execute" on the field.

The athlete naturally attracted attention from recruiters over the length of his high school career, and he flip-flopped between institutions before landing on his final choice.

Although Sellers received offers from institutions like Virginia Tech and Washington State, he appeared to make up his mind in July 2021, when he committed to the University of Virginia, according to 247 Sports.

But then he received an offer to commit to Syracuse University the following January, and he decommitted from Virginia that same month.

Sellers waited two more months before deciding to officially commit to Syracuse -- but then he decommitted from Syracuse in December 2022, after he received an offer from the University of South Carolina ... where he ultimately attended.

Sellers' debut with the University of South Carolina's Gamecocks took place in January 2023, and he ended up making three appearances as a true freshman, according to the school's official website.

The quarterback made waves throughout the college football world in September 2024, when he made a 75-yard score against Louisian State, which proved to be the longest touchdown run by a quarterback in S.C.'s history.

Oh, and in case you were worried about his sports life affecting his grades ... he's made it onto the SEC's Fall Academic Honor Roll -- twice!

Jerry Jones just revealed he was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma over a decade and a half ago ... but he beat it with the help of an experimental drug.

The Cowboys owner opened up on the medical issue with The Dallas Morning News this week ... explaining to the paper that doctors first told him he had cancer back in June 2010.

Jones told the outlet he immediately turned to the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston for treatment ... and a short time later, he began PD-1 therapy to get healthy.

Underwood's not gonna have to travel too far from home to attend the University of Michigan, as he was born in Detroit and attended Belleville High School.

The athlete joined the high school's football program in his first year and helped lead its team to its very first state title in 2021 -- when he was just 14 years old.

And in case you thought he was gonna slow down after the first victory ... Underwood helped Belleville High School land its second state title the following year!

Although the team didn't take home the top prize for his junior and senior seasons, the athlete won plenty of accolades, and he was named the top prospect of the class of 2025, according to the The Athletic.

Ya know five-star prospects tend to attract attention from schools, and Underwood had plenty of eyes on him for his work on the gridiron.

The quarterback received his fair share of offers while he was in high school -- institutions like the University of Colorado-Boulder, Michigan State University and Notre Dame attempted to sign him, according to ESPN.

Underwood eventually appeared to have his mind made up when he committed to Louisiana State University in January 2024.

The athlete told ESPN he was particularly enthusiastic about the willingness of LSU's coaching staff to help him "prepare myself for the NFL."

The thing is, Underwood eventually changed his mind about his choice of university, and announced he would be heading to the University of Michigan in November 2024.

The athlete showed a few growing pains at the institution's spring game, as he recovered one of his own fumbles and made a series of bad throws, according to ESPN.

Despite the mixed performance, Coach Sherrone Moore said Underwood "did well" at the game and expressed he was confident the institution's coaching staff could help the athlete "clean up" his rough spots.

Myles Garrett isn't just quick getting to the quarterback -- he's also allegedly got speed behind the wheel ... 'cause the former Defensive Player of the Year was cited for driving 100 MPH in a 60 zone hours after the Cleveland Browns' first preseason game on Friday.

According to court records, 29-year-old Garrett was pulled over around 2:00 AM on Saturday morning ... not too long after Shedeur Sanders and Co. handled the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte with a 30-10 effort. Garrett did not suit up for the contest.

The citation, obtained by TMZ Sports, states Garrett was cruising in a gray 2014 Ferrari in Strongsville when he was pulled over.
