Jennifer Lopez has sued her former driver for extortion, claiming he demanded $2.8 million or else he'd tell the media and authorities about secrets he overheard while driving her here and there.

Jennifer's case is a countersuit to a claim filed by Hakob Manoukian, who claimed he was forced to resign after being publicly berated by JLo's manager, Benny Medina.

In her countersuit, obtained by TMZ, Lopez alleges Manoukian became drunk with power and wanted to control her entire security team and get more money for doing it. When he was shut down, Jennifer claims he retaliated by threatening to spill confidential information that would be highly embarrassing.

And it gets worse. JLo says Manoukian threatened that if he wasn't paid $2.8 million he would take his info to authorities and have her criminally prosecuted.

Eva Longoria is one lawsuit lighter now ... the former "Desperate Housewives" actress settled a suit out of the courtroom with the guy she smashed her car into waaaay back in 2010.

TMZ broke the story ... Roman Gasparyan filed a suit against Longoria almost two years ago. He claimed the actress lost control of her BMW and crashed into him on Hollywood Blvd while sporting "red and bloodshot" eyes ... but Eva claimed the wreck was NOT her fault.

All that's behind them now ... the settlement was announced in L.A Superior Court on August 3 ... just 12 days before the case was supposed to go to trial.

The Olympic water polo referee who was fired from the London Games for blowing a game-deciding call is taking FULL RESPONSIBILITY ... telling TMZ he wants to apologize to Spain.

In case you didn't know ... Boris Margeta was banned from officiating any more 2012 Olympic matches ... after he disallowed a goal that should have counted in Spain's July 31st match against Croatia.

TMZ spoke to Boris and he tells us ..."It was very bad. After I saw the replay I knew I made a mistake." He adds, "My apologies to Spain's team."

Spain lost the game 8-7 and Croatia went on to take the lead in their bracket.

WWE diva Rosa Mendes told police her fiancé is a habitual woman-beater ... and she's afraid the guy will eventually try to kill her ... this according to a police report obtained by TMZ.

And sources tell TMZ ... the guy Mendes is afraid of is a former WWE talent.

According to the report, the San Antonio Police Dept. found Mendes crying in a bathroom stall at San Antonio International Airport late Sunday night, repeatedly stating that she needed help. Mendes had just flown from her home in Vegas to S.A. for a WWE event.

According to the police report, Mendes -- real name Milena Roucka -- told cops her fiancé had "hit her several times at their shared residence in Las Vegas."

Sources connected to the case tell TMZ ... Rosa's fiancé is Andy Slocum ... a former WWE talent who went by the stage name Jackson Andrews. Slocum was fired by the WWE in 2011 for breach of contract after continually blowing off training sessions.

In the report, cops note Mendes was under the influence of alcohol at the time they made contact with her.

Cops say Mendes told them "she was afraid [her fiancé] would try and kill her. She also stated the abuse had been an on-going thing."

S.A.P.D. spokesman Officer Matthew Porter tells us Mendes filed a battery report around 10:17 PM. Cops took roughly 30 photos of her body ... which appeared to show bruising and scratches.

A rep for the WWE tells TMZ ... "Milena Roucka contacted a WWE Talent Relations representative this morning to notify WWE that, upon her arrival in San Antonio last evening, she contacted police at the airport to report alleged domestic abuse that occurred just prior to her flight."

The rep adds, "WWE is supportive of Rosa and will provide her with professional assistance."

Deion Sanders desperately wants to liquidate his 5,000 sq. ft. condo in Dallas -- putting the luxury property up for sale smack in the middle of his bitter divorce proceedings ... for way less than the market value.

Deion listed the condo -- located in the swanky celeb-filled Azure building -- back in March ... soon after his divorce from estranged wife Pilar went nuclear, when Pilar claimed Deion's aunt had attacked her in her own house.

Deion listed the home for $4.8 million -- but according to a realtor for Azure, the property is valued at roughly $6.5 million. In fact, Deion's neighboring unit is currently listed for exactly that amount.

And not only is he lowballing his own property, we're told Deion's doing some last minute renovations to speed up the sale -- such as re-plastering the pool.

Good thing too ... because this week, a judge ordered Deion to pay $10,000-a-month in child support and cough up another $275,000 for Pilar's attorneys' fees.

Selena Gomez has been banned from Facebook until further notice -- but here's the thing ... it's not the famous Selena Gomez ... it's a girl in New Mexico with the same name ... and she's PISSED.

18-year-old Selena MIRANDA Gomez tells TMZ, she tried to sign in to her Facebook account on Wednesday ... but was denied, receiving a message instead that her account had been disabled for being "inauthentic."

According to the error message, the account was disabled for violating Facebook's terms -- which state, "Impersonating anyone or anything is not allowed."

But clearly, the non-famous Selena isn't impersonating anyone -- and now she's really upset that she's been unfairly banned from her social networking profile, telling TMZ, "I AM NOT AN IMPOSTOR ... My name is not hers on my page. In fact, I even put my middle name on my FB to clear up any confusion."

She says, "I did not have one single famous friend. I did not refer to myself as [the famous Selena], and I did not have any pictures of her on my page!"

Selena says she's reached out to FB to reactivate her account -- but so far, no luck.

"Selena" actress Lupe Ontiveros was laid to rest at a funeral in Southern California today ... surrounded by family, politicians and some of her famous friends.

Lupe's "Desperate Housewives" co-star Eva Longoria was among the famous faces ... along with Wilmer Valderrama and Edward James Olmos ... who appeared with Lupe in a Broadway play.

As we previously reported, Lupe -- who famously portrayed Selena's killer in the 1990 biopic -- passed away on July 26 ... after a battle with liver cancer.

She was 69 years old.

Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart are FURIOUS over reports Casper was "caught" in a "gay sex club" and an exotic massage parlor ... and now they're threatening to sue ... claiming the stories are pure BS.

TMZ has learned ... the couple's high-powered attorneys, Shawn Holley and Howard Weitzman, have teamed up and fired off letters to Star Magazine and In Touch ... warning them the "reports" are "false, malicious and defamatory" and will cause "immense damage" to the couple's careers and reputations.

The reports include photographs of Casper outside a XXX peep show in NYC back in July -- Star claims the shop is a "well-known cruising spot for gay men looking for instant hookups."

In Touch claims Casper was "caught" with an "exotic masseuse."

In their letters, the lawyers have each demanded the mags print a full retraction ... warning Smart and Lopez will "immediately file a lawsuit" if the magazines fail to do so.

Angry Vanessa Bryant is GREAT for the British economy ... 'cause Kobe's estranged wife has arrived in London ... and already taken a high-end shopping spree.

As we previously reported, Vanessa had planned to fly to the U.K. with the couple's two daughters long before she saw the pics of a topless Kobe hangin' with a couple of chicks at an afterparty in Barcelona.

We're told Vanessa was less than pleased with the photos, but Dolce & Gabbana can make you forget a lot.

Kobe Bryant's wife has some serious questions about his judgment after seeing pics of him partying with women last week -- but that didn't stop her from flying to London to watch him play in the Olympics.

Sources close to Vanessa Bryant tell us she is "furious" and "embarrassed" over the photos -- one of Kobe chatting up 2 women at an afterparty last week in Barcelona ... the other showed him hanging with 2 different women in a nightclub.

But we're told Vanessa's anger is NOT because she thinks Kobe cheated ... instead she's mad that he put himself in situations where the photos could be taken.

As we previously reported ... a source close to Kobe says someone had spilled a drink on him, and he was only briefly shirtless -- while he sent for a cleaner, dryer shirt.

We're told Vanessa had planned to go to London -- and seeing the pics didn't change her mind. She flew to London over the weekend with their 2 daughters.

We're told Vanessa feels things have been going well with Kobe since she passed on filing final divorce docs last month.

Kobe Bryant's interpretation of a topless party is WAYYY different than ours.

TMZ obtained photos of the Team USA star at an afterparty in Barcelona earlier this week ... hanging out with two hot chicks ... sans shirt.

One source close to Kobe who was at the party tells us Bryant was FORCED to strip down because "someone spilled an entire drink on him ... his shirt was soaking wet."

We're told Kobe sent someone to get him another shirt ... but he's jacked, so no one complained.

According to our sources, both women in the photo had their significant other with them at the after party (one husband, one boyfriend).

Kobe had one helluva time in Spain ... he was pictured chattin' with two different ladies at a nightclub earlier that evening.

OCHOCINCO, PARTY OF ONE ... is what Evelyn Lozada will be saying for the next few weeks, since she's currently the only Ochocinco left in her family. Let us explain ...

When the "Basketball Wives" star got married in early July, she changed her last name to Ochocino to match her NFL star husband, Chad Ochocinco. A few weeks later, Chad went ahead with his pre-planned move to switch his name back to Johnson and Evelyn planned to change her name to Johnson as well, post-wedding.

Unfortunately, we're told Lozada has not received her official marriage paperwork yet ... and she can't legally change her name to match his until it comes in.

To make things even more complicated ... our sources say Chad still wants Ocho to be part of his life, so he's adding the Ochocinco BACK to his name (before the "Johnson") after the football season.

After all the name-changing is said and done, he's going to be "Chad Javon Ochocinco Johnson" and in a show of support, Evelyn will become "Evelyn Alexandra Lozada Ochocinco Johnson." Wow.

Yolanda Saldívar -- the woman who shot and killed Latino pop legend Selena -- doesn't plan on releasing a comment about the death of the women who portrayed her on the big screen ... because Yolanda has never seen the movie.

Yolanda -- the former President of Selena's fan club -- is currently locked up in a Texas prison ... serving out a life sentence for killing the 23-year-old singer in 1995. She was portrayed in the 1997 biopic "Selena" by Lupe Ontiveros.

After Lupe passed away this week, we reached out to Yolanda's family to see if she had any thoughts on the actress' death.

Yolanda's brother told us ... nobody in the family had ever seen the movie because they believe it's "filled with lies" about Yolanda.

Still, Yolanda's brother says the family never felt any ill will towards Lupe ... because she was an actress and was only "doing what she was told."

Producers for "Modern Family" settled their dispute with several key cast members the same way every American family does ... throwing a bunch of $$$ at them, and now thanks to some major pay raises, everyone's getting back to work.

The cast members -- Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet and Sofia Vergara -- officially dropped their lawsuit against the ABC show, after coming to an agreement with the show's producers over their salaries.

If you recall -- the adult cast members (minus Ed O'Neil) were upset over their contract negotiations -- they were holding out for a reported $200k per episode, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The tryst with the show's producers resulted in the cast taking legal action to get out of their contracts altogether and halted production after a recent table read was cancelled.

All that's behind them now, THR reports that the show's producers and the hold-out cast members settled around $175k per episode ... with the cast taking a cut of the show's profits as well. Their salaries will shoot up to around $350k an episode by the show's 8th season.

In exchange for the cash increase, the cast members extended their terms with "Modern" to 8 seasons, rather than the original 7, THR reports.

Jennifer Lopez has released a statement, saying, "I am tremendously saddened by the news of Lupe's passing! I've enjoyed her work throughout the years. She was a great actress and working with her in Selena was an unforgettable experience. She will truly be missed."

Prolific Mexican-American character actress Lupe Ontiveros, best known for playing the convicted murderer of the Tejano singer in "Selena," has died. She was 69.

Ontiveros was reportedly suffering from liver cancer.

Lupe's "Selena" co-star Jacob Vargas was at her bedside last night and tweeted, "My friend Lupe Ontiveros just passed away. May you rest in peace. Thank you for your great contribution to film and TV. You will be missed."

Some of Lupe's long list of other credits include "The Goonies," "As Good As it Gets," Hill Street Blues" and "Desperate Housewives" -- for which she was nominated for an Emmy.

Ontiveros is survived by her husband and three adult children.

A source close to the Black Mamba who was inside the club tells us, "Kobe was at a social event with some of the other members of the USA basketball team. Two women sat down, asked for an autograph and left. He didn’t know them."

The source adds, "After signing the autograph, he left that table to join friends at another table.”
