Ashlee Jenae’s fiancé Joe McCann tried reaching out to her family after her death ... but the communication basically hit a wall immediately afterward.

Joe's lawyer, Edward Andrew Paltzik, tells TMZ ... Ashlee's mother Yolanda texted Joe asking what happened on April 9 shortly after Ashlee died in Tanzania ... and despite being completely crushed by her death, Joe responded promptly and appropriately.

But according to Joe's side, Yolanda never replied back -- and he says he hasn't heard from the family since.

Ashlee Jenae's fiancé Joe McCann has experienced racism and received online threats after her tragic death ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to Joe tell us ... ever since Ashlee died while on a trip to Tanzania in March, Joe and his family have received an overwhelming number of death threats and messages of hate.

We're told this situation is particularly hard on Joe ... because the insinuation that he had anything to do with her death hurts him deeply.

The murder-suicide of the famed restaurateur Texas couple -- which also left their two young children dead -- has the former chef at their Houston restaurant reeling ... and looking back to see if he missed any clues to the impending catastrophe.

If you don't know ... the bodies of 52-year-old Matthew Mitchell, his wife, 39-year-old Thy Mitchell, their 8-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son were discovered shot to death in their upscale Houston home Monday. Police say Matthew killed his family before taking his own life.

Their popular establishment, Traveler's Table, was featured on the show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" hosted by Emmy winner Guy Fieri ... with their former head chef, Stanton Bundy, who tells TMZ ... he's questioning everything in the aftermath of the tragedy -- including his faith.

Ashlee Jenae's fiancé Joe McCann is speaking out for the first time following her sudden death while the two were vacationing in Tanzania.

Joe took to social media -- after not being heard from as the investigation into her death over seas left him without a passport -- starting his message with, "There are no adequate words to describe the total devastation, emptiness, and shock I feel after losing my best friend, confidante and fiancé, Ashly Jenae Robinson."

Joe continues to say "As a father myself, I am also heartbroken for Ashly's parents, Yolanda Endres and Harry Robinson. Ashly's death is an incomprehensible tragedy."

Ashlee's fiancé solemnly adds ... "What Ashly desired most was to become a mother and to raise a family together. There is no question that she would have been an amazing mom."

As we previously reported ... Ashlee -- real name Ashly Jenae Robinson -- was reportedly found unconscious in her villa and rushed to the hospital, where she was ultimately pronounced dead, all during a trip she and McCann took to Tanzania last month ... just days after he popped the question.

According to local outlets, police were initially leaning toward suicide ... but her family isn't convinced, and is conducting an independent autopsy to try and get answers.

A Brazilian content creator was shot in front of her four kids and tragically died at a hospital ... according to a local outlet.

A report from Massa says Pâmela Guimarães was outside her Sertanópolis home on Friday when a car pulled up.

The suspect called out to her, so Pâmela went over to the gate ... according to the news outlet.

Canadian youTuber Harley Morenstein was in his mid 20s when he co-created "Epic Meal Time" -- the YouTube series featuring high-calorie, over-the-top meals -- back in 2010.

The series originally ran until 2017 -- eventually shifting to guest appearances and spin-offs.

Sources tell us Ashlee's family did not invite him to the funeral and have not spoken to him since her death.

Dominic Cinfio announced the news on TikTok and Instagram earlier this week ... revealing Dyke passed away on April 26.

In a heartfelt caption, Cinfio called Dyke a special human who brought so much joy into every room she was in.

Tragedy in India -- Nagalakshmi, a popular influencer, was brutally hacked to death by her husband in a suspected murder-suicide ... with their 18-year-old son the one who made the horrific discovery.

Sailash rushed to the family home in Adambakkam, South Chennai on Monday after getting a chilling message from his dad, Subramanian. When he arrived, his 52-year-old father was dead -- and Sailash's mother, Nagalakshmi, was found brutally killed in another room.

The WhatsApp message from his dad read, "Your mother and I will no longer be home. I have kept food for you. Come home and eat," according to The Sun.

Ashlee Jenae's engagement ring is still unaccounted for ... even after her body was returned to her family ... TMZ has learned.

Ashlee's father, Harry Robinson, tells TMZ ... her remains were returned to the family in New Jersey on Friday ... But none of her personal belongings including the ring have been turned over.

Harry tells us the family has no idea if or when they'll get those items back, and believes they're still being held by investigators as the case remains active.

Klaudia Glam -- a popular influencer from the UK -- has died ... after cops say a former "X-Factor" star hit her with her car.

Glam -- real name Klaudia Zakrzewska -- was plowed down in London's SoHo district near a nightclub early Sunday, April 19, the London Metropolitan Police announced. Authorities say she was taken to the hospital ... where she was pronounced dead Saturday.

A 58-year-old man also suffered "life-changing injuries," according to cops.

Tragedy in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil ... attorney and martial arts influencer Tamyris Teixeira Santos has been found dead on a beach at age 36 -- three days after she was reported missing.

Her relatives identified a body discovered on Botafogo Beach Wednesday ... just a day after it was found, according to local outlet g1.

A forensic report cited by Brazilian outlet Metrópoles says she suffered a stroke while drowning -- oxygen deprivation and water flooding led to severe and fatal brain damage.

Ali Leiniö, a Finnish vlogger who posted videos of himself hiking, appears to have died doing what he loved ... because he was found dead in the wilderness.

Zuri Zanzibar management adds, "Our sincerest thoughts and sympathies go out to the family and loved ones during this painful time. We are providing our full cooperation to the local authorities and the U.S. Embassy."
