Snooki's pregnant AND sporting a massive rock -- which can only mean her "Jersey Shore" spin-off show is headed in one frightening direction ... a "Big Fat Fugazi Italian Wedding."

Snooki's ex-BF Emilio Masella says he's just a schmuck who misspoke when he wished a "miscarriage" on the MTV star ... but says he still HOPES TO GOD she's not really pregnant.

Emilio just called in to "TMZ Live" to explain himself ... saying, "What I meant by the statement was that I hope she doesn’t have the child. I just hope the test was wrong ... I think she's too young. I don’t think this kid is in it for her."

He continued, "If she's pregnant with this kid I guess I can't associate with her."

Before Snooki's ex-boyfriend wished death upon her unborn fetus, the "Jersey Shore" star took preemptive measures to make SURE he never badmouthed her -- in the form of a nasty legal threat -- but clearly, the guy wasn't intimidated.

TMZ broke the story ... ex-BF Emilio Masella said he hopes Snooki "has a miscarriage" to save herself from a pregnancy she's not ready for.

But here's the thing -- a month before he made that comment, he told another media outlet he could easily be Snooki's baby daddy too ... implying he recently slept with her.

The comment didn't sit so well with Snooki's lawyers, who responded with a cease and desist letter on February 1st -- threatening to sue if he continued to badmouth Snooki OR her pregnancy to the media.

Her lawyers were pretty clear -- "Demand is hereby made that you cease and desist from making any additional public statements regarding Ms. Polizzi that could in any way be taken to be offensive by her."

Snooki's ex-boyfriend Emilio Masella doesn't think the world is ready for Snooki spawn ... including Snooki herself -- telling TMZ, "I hope for her sake ... not to be rude or anything ... but I hope she has a miscarriage."

Emilio tells us he does believe Snooki will eventually be a good mother -- but insists ... there's no way in fist-pumping hell she's ready for it now.

According to Emilio, Snooki has always been flippant about having kids ... and never really grasped the gravity of being pregnant -- "When I was with her, she said she wanted twins. She would always say 'Let’s have twins.'"

Emilio says, "I would def recommend her to get a paternity test to see who the father is because I’m sure there are other subjects" -- adding, "Vinny could easily be the father."

As for how Snooki and BF Jionni's relationship will pan out on her new spin-off show -- Emilio thinks the two will get married ... but Snook will "pull a Kim Kardashian."

Emilio says, Snooks is "going to have the baby and break up with him right after."

Cease and desist letters don't scare Emilio -- turns out Snooki's lawyers secretly threatened to sue him LAST MONTH if he ever offended Snooki in the media again ... clearly, he wasn't intimidated.

Snooki is in the midst of a MAJOR transformation ... from a sloppy, smooshy drunken idiot ... to a RESPONSIBLE mom-to-be who's taking her pregnancy very seriously ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to the MTV star tell us ... ever since Snooki discovered she was with child she quit drinking, quit screwing around ... and has convinced the people around her that she could develop into "mother of the year."

We're told Snooki comes from a loving family ... she's very close with her mom ... and she completely understands what it takes to become a responsible mother.

The timing of Snooki's pregnancy couldn't have worked out better ... 'cause we're told the premise of her upcoming "Jersey Shore" spin-off reality show with Jwoww is "the last hurrah."

Sources connected to the production tell us the show will follow the girls as they transition into adulthood ... move into an adult apartment ... and take some serious adult steps with their boyfriends.

We're told the boyfriends will not have starring roles on the show ... but the relationships will be "key."

As for Snooki, we're told she has no plans to marry her BF ... yet ... even though he's most likely the baby daddy.

The Situation is definitely NOT to blame for the mini-guido baking inside of Snooki's womb ... this according to Sitch's BFF.

"The Unit" -- aka Jonny Manfre -- just called in to “Big Poppa” Gary Spears at KISS-FM in NY ... and said there is absolutely NO baby daddy controversy ... despite the fact Snooki allegedly got all smooshy with Sitch in the past.

"It's not Situation's baby ... I'll tell you that much ... I would assume it's Jionni's baby." Unit is referring to Snook's BF, Jionni Lavalle.

Forget boozy nightclubs and bar fights -- mama Snooki's new "Jersey Shore" spin-off will be all about the guido growing in her uterus ... in fact, one Jersey City baby store has already been contacted by producers about shooting on location.

The owner of Bambi Baby tells TMZ, someone from 495 Productions -- the company behind "Jersey Shore" -- reached out to the baby store within the last few weeks ... right around the time Snooki was adamantly denying she was pregnant.

Wearing a loose fitting top for two, newly pregnant Snooki tried to shield herself from the rain underneath her coat as she filmed her new reality show in Jersey City on Wednesday.

As TMZ reported earlier, Snooks originally lied about being with child because she didn't want to jinx anything prior to being three months pregnant. Now that she's passed that threshold, an official announcement is expected at any moment.

Snooki was LYING FOR TWO when she denied pregnancy rumors earlier this month ... but sources tell TMZ the "Jersey Shore" star had a damn good reason -- she didn't want to jinx herself.

Sources close to the MTV star tell us ... Snooks WAS already pregnant when she went on Sirius/XM radio on Feb. 1st and told everyone she was OUTRAGED by the suggestion that she had preggo belly.

But we're told Snooki is taking the situation very seriously ... especially the taboo about revealing the pregnancy before the 3rd month.

Now, it seems Snooki has crossed the 3-month threshold ... and an official announcement could come any moment.

In an unwise financial move, the wine shop next to Snooki's new Jersey City home wants nothing to do with the little booze guzzlin' blast in a glass ... and even posted a sign on the door to keep her the hell out.

We're told Jwoww ain't welcome in the store either, so the ladies will have to schlepp their bronzed behinds a little further than next door when they want to binge drink for the cameras of their new reality show.

TMZ spoke to the GM at the wine shop ... who tells us, "Even if Jwoww shows up at our front door she will not be let in."

The Situation's GTL bestie Jonny "The Unit" Manfre took time out from fighting with Snooki on "Jersey Shore" and flaunted his buff & hairless strength at Muscle Beach in Venice Beach on Wednesday.

The Unit -- alongside his smoking hot XXX girlfriend Amia Miley -- proved his jacked up muscles weren't only for show, and even held himself up sideways off a bar.

If you were hoping the entire "Jersey Shore" gang would be making appearances on the upcoming Snooki and Jwoww spin-off, think again ... because The Situation says he won't be a part of it.

We spotted The Sitch in Beverly Hills yesterday, where he chalked up the girls' recent comments about his sexuality as just "crazy." He also said he felt Snooki's pregnancy rumors were just her ... trying to draw up attention for the new show.

Sound the alarms! Because this old firehouse is about to become the new Jersey City smush pad for Snooki and Jwoww while they shoot their upcoming "Jersey Shore" spinoff.

As we previously reported, the producers of their new MTV reality show obtained a permit to shoot at the firehouse ... under the condition that there MUST be at least 4 Jersey City police officers at the pad at all times.

In addition to the boys in blue, the 150-year-old firehouse comes with a pretty sweet kitchen, an accident waiting to happen cast-iron spiral staircase and bedrooms with doors labeled skank Office of the Battalion Chief and grenade Captain.

Snooki and Jwoww will be on some seriously thin ice when they begin shooting their new reality show in Jersey City ... because the cops will be assigned to watch their asses AT ALL TIMES.

TMZ has learned ... officials in Jersey City refused to a grant a permit to shoot the show UNLESS they agreed to some seriously strict rules.

1) The show must allow at least four Jersey City PD officers to be stationed at Jwoww and Snooki's home at all times.

2) The cops will stay with the cast and crew when they leave the home. Cops have agreed to keep an appropriate distance from the operation, so they don't get in the way of production.

3) If MORE cops are called in to handle an incident due to events related to the show, producers MUST reimburse Jersey City for all related costs.

Officials have also made it clear ... cops are taking the situation very seriously and will take action ... even on the cast ... if any state or city laws are broken.

Snooki and Jwoww haven't lost faith in the Garden State just because Hoboken rejected them -- we're told they're still determined to find a New Jersey location for their new spin-off show ... no matter what.

Sources tell TMZ, producers behind Snooki's untitled spin-off with Jwoww are currently working round the clock to find a suitable Jersey replacement for Hoboken -- after the mayor denied their filming permit, citing a laundry list of obvious reasons.

No word yet on an alternative -- but we're told producers are currently eyeing a number of possible locations in South Jersey.

Snooki is calling radishes on a report that she's pregnant -- claiming not only is she NOT pregnant, she's insulted by the insinuation she's fat.

The "Jersey Shore" star left Sirius XM studios in New York moments ago -- where she appeared on the Opie & Anthony radio show -- and a photog flat-out asked if the pregnancy rumor was true ... Snooki firmly replied, "NO!"

Worse, Snooki's livid at rumors she's gained weight, claiming, "Why are people calling me fat? That's so rude!" Snooki said she does wanna get pregnant one day though ... when she gets married.

As for the Opie & Anthony interview (below) -- Snooki said the media outlet that reported the story is just like one of the bullies who terrorized her in high school ... and she has a message for the offender ... "I hate you."
