"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" was released over the weekend, and an audience in one particular theater got an extra release with their movie ... when a fart forced them to evacuate the screening!

Here's what went down -- or up, depending on who you ask ... excited viewers in Cartagena, Colombia, were enjoying the new Spider-Man movie over the weekend, when suddenly one of their spidey senses started to go off after a nefarious villain in the theater let a Green Goblin slip past their a**crack!

Appalled by the horrid odor, the audience cleared out of the theater. Even Spider-Man swung his a** out of there -- a Peter Parker cosplayer that is.

"Barbie" may not be getting a sequel after all ... because, according to a new report, Warner Bros. and the creators are down for a return to pink -- but aren't seeing eye to eye on the green.

Here's the deal ... the New York Times published a story Friday based on conversations with multiple anonymous sources ... who say David Zaslav -- the CEO and President of Warner Bros. -- blanched at the pricetags being commanded by stars like Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.

According to NYT, Ryan specifically is looking for a salary in the range of $20 million ... but Zaslav "deemed the offers, including when participation in profits would kick in, too generous and would not sign off."

Ben And Casey Affleck's Mom Chris Affleck Dead At 83 ... After Bout With Pancreatic Cancer

Sad news for Ben and Casey Affleck ... the famous actors have said goodbye to their mom, Chris Affleck, who died in June after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Chris Anne Affleck passed away on June 2 after she was diagnosed with cancer in December, according to her obituary. 

Born in New York City in 1942, Chris was a graduate of Harvard University who taught public school for 35 years and was a staunch civil rights advocate for her entire life.

She married Timothy Affleck, with whom she had two children -- Ben in 1972 and Casey in 1975. Around 1975, they all moved to Massachusetts, but Chris and Tim later divorced when Ben was 12.   

Johnny Depp Scrooges Up Comic-Con With a 'Humbug'

Johnny Depp gave Comic-Con the cold shoulder Thursday ... popping out as Ebenezer Scrooge and greeting the crowd with a grouchy "Humbug!"

Depp surprised attendees when he appeared through the door of a snow-dusted mock Ebenezer storefront in full Victorian garb -- top hat, long coat, fingerless gloves, and cane -- before stopping to scowl at the commotion around him.

11:40 AM PT -- Universal tells TMZ ... "Our records show that all invoices relating to the Glad av Gillberga were paid in full, including repairs. The studio and the production have contacted the association to clear up any misunderstanding.”

"The Odyssey" is a major blockbuster thanks to its impressive visuals, including a replica Viking ship ... but now the company that rented out the vessel claims it was damaged during filming ... and they say Universal hasn't paid for repairs.

The Swedish non-profit Värmland Vikingaleden Association rented the studio its ship -- the Glad av Gillberga -- for the Christopher Nolan epic ... but the center's chairman, Peter Olausson, told multiple outlets the studio didn't pay the full bill, which includes costs for wear and tear.

He says all Universal paid was the rent fee and nothing else.

Olausson blasted the studio ... saying the $6,000 he needs for repairs is peanuts, especially considering the flick raked in around $264,100,000 in ticket sales over its opening weekend.

The fatal car crash that killed Kaylee Hottle looks even worse upon further review ... a new image shows severe damage to the front of the car.

TMZ obtained a new photo showing the mangled car loaded on the back of a flatbed tow truck ... the front end of the 1995 Honda Accord is almost completely caved in, with the hood crumpled up and the bumper twisted out of shape.

Grass and mud are packed around the bumper and front passenger-side wheel -- where the tire appears to have separated from the rim -- and the windshield looks cracked on the same side.

'Mad Max 2' Star Mike Preston Reportedly Dead At 93

Actor Mike Preston -- best known for his iconic role as Pappagallo in "Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior" -- has died.

Preston passed away on June 8 in Florida, according to Variety, citing his wife, Josie. His cause of death was not disclosed.

Born in London, England in 1938, Preston launched his TV and movie career with the 1969 flick, “Stoney.”

Years later, Preston scored his biggest role ever in the 1981 classic film, "The Road Warrior," starring Mel Gibson. Preston played Pappagallo, the charismatic leader of a settler group trying to bring peace to the violent wasteland. 

  

Erwin In 'The Edge of Seventeen' 'Memba Him?!

Canadian actor Hayden Szeto was 30 when he played Erwin -- the nice, awkward guy who's crushing on Hailee Steinfeld's character -- in the 2016 rom-com film "The Edge of Seventeen."

Joining newcomers Hayden and Hailee on set were industry vets Woody Harrelson and Kyra Sedgwick.
