Joe Jackson Hospitalized With Family By His Side

Joe Jackson is in an L.A. hospital after his health took a turn for the worse during a routine checkup.

Sources close to the family tell TMZ Joe was scheduled for some tests with his personal doctor Friday. However, Joe became weak during the tests and struck a high fever. We're told that's when his doc admitted Joe to the hospital ... where he's been ever since.

We're told 87-year-old Joe still has a high fever, and docs can't pinpoint exactly what's wrong.

Our photog caught up with Jermaine over the weekend, and at the time he felt things were slowly improving.

Sinead O'Connor Family Tried to Help ... But Running Out of Patience

Sinead O'Connor's mental illness has gotten out of control ... and we're told family members are starting to feel there's nothing that can be done to save her.

Sources close to the situation tell us O'Connor's family has spent decades trying to get the singer professional help -- we're told the problem is she doesn't want to get help. The source says her family is trying to move on with their lives now after years of emotional abuse, fleeing and blaming her children for her suicide attempts.

However, we're told a family member did step in when O'Connor went missing.

We're told O'Connor had been sending voicemails and texts to a relative threatening to kill herself -- hours later that relative stepped in when they were contacted by O'Connor's friend she's staying with, saying she'd gone missing.

O'Connor was found safe Monday afternoon in Wilmette, IL.

Sinead O'Connor's been forced out of her native Ireland by her father, ex-husband and ungrateful son ... if you buy what she's selling in a rambling angry letter about her suicide attempts.

Sinead blames her ex, John Reynolds, and son Jake for forcing her to "run to another continent just to stay alive." As we've reported, she's now living outside Chicago, and disappeared for 24 hours ... leading friends and family to think she was going to kill herself.

She acknowledges having a "suicidal compulsion" and says to the men in her family ... "Every one of you had better pray I die. Because I'm suing the f****** lot of you for what you've done to me if I manage to live through it."

In her Facebook post the singer also rants about abortions, her mother's death, her "psychological destruction" and a mountain of medical bills.

Sinead vows that if God doesn't kill her ... "We are all going to court and we are gonna have this out in full public for once and for all."

Sinead O'Connor Past Suicide Attempt Helps Cops in Search

When Sinead O'Connor was reported missing cops focused their search on hotels, based on her recent history with suicide attempts.

TMZ obtained police scanner audio of cops in Wilmette, IL responding to a dispatcher telling them to check the local Courtyard Marriott for the "missing suicidal subject."

It's clear in the audio cops were already aware of O'Connor's suicide attempt back in November ... in a Dublin hotel.

As we reported, police eventually found Sinead Monday afternoon, safe in a hotel.

Anthony Kiedis Rushed to Hospital Gig Cancelled at Last Minute

The Red Hot Chili Peppers pulled the plug on a concert performance because lead singer Anthony Kiedis had to be rushed to a hospital.

RHC was set to play at the the Weenie Roast festival for KROQ-FM in L.A Saturday night ... when bass player Flea walked out on stage, and announced that Anthony would not be able to perform the show.

Word is Anthony was having stomach issues, and decided he wouldn't be able to play. We're told he left the venue in a Sprinter van.

"Days of Our Lives" actor Eric Winter is recovering in a hospital with debilitating and mysterious numbness.

Eric has been dogged by neck and back issues for years, and he's already gone under the knife twice, but without success.

The pain was too much and last Tuesday he went back in ... it was especially alarming because he experienced numbness running down his right arm.

Lucky for Eric ... doctors did not perform a third neck surgery. They tried a minor procedure they hope will do the trick.

It's been a rough couple of weeks for soap stars. A "General Hospital" actor was in a horrendous car accident but got off pretty easy.

Joan Rivers Malpractice Suit Settled for Millions

The Joan Rivers malpractice lawsuit has settled for millions of dollars ... TMZ has learned.

Melissa Rivers sued the clinic where Joan Rivers slipped into unconsciousness and never recovered. Melissa sued Yorkville Endoscopy as well as Dr. Gwen Korovin, the doctor who allegedly was not authorized to be in the surgery room and was working on Joan when the emergency occurred.

The settlement came very quickly by legal standards ... it never even reached the deposition stage.

As for the money, our sources would not be specific, but one source insinuated it is in the 8 figures.

You may recall one of the doctors took a cell phone pic of Joan when she was under, which became quite embarrassing for the clinic.

Melissa Rivers says she's happy "those culpable for [Joan's] death have accepted responsibility for their actions quickly and without equivocation." She hopes the lawsuit and settlement will force an elevation of standards in outpatient surgery clinics.

Anderson Silva Gallbladder Removed ... 'Resting Comfortably'

UFC superstar Anderson Silva underwent successful surgery to remove his gallbladder in Brazil Wednesday morning ... and he is now resting comfortably, this according to the UFC.

A rep for the organization tells us, "Earlier this week, medical personnel determined that Anderson Silva was suffering from inflammation of the gallbladder, a serious ailment that forced him off the UFC 198 card."

"As a result of the condition, Silva had successful, minimally invasive surgery in Brazil today to remove the gallbladder. He is now resting comfortably following the procedure."

"The recovery period following the surgery is estimated at 4-6 weeks and Silva will be reexamined by doctors before being cleared to return to training."

"Silva thanks all of his fans around the world for their support and words of encouragement during this time."

Aspiring Model In Photo Shoot Fail ... Drone to the Face!!

Here's how brutal it is to break into the biz -- an aspiring model/actress is lucky she still has eyes, ears and a nose after a 4-prop drone smashed into her face during a photo shoot.

Jess Adams was helping a photographer friend Saturday with a clothing shoot in Malibu. Jess, who's appeared on "Community," says it was her first time working with a drone.

It had all the makings of a perfect shot ... on a rocky bluff, waves crashing, the wind blowing and what Jess says was her "seductively eye-f******" the drone camera lens. And then ... WHAM!!

Jess doesn't think it was a piloting error ... rather the drone rode a gust of wind directly into her face.

She suffered a few scrapes and bruises, but still got checked out in the ER. Jess is handling it like a champ, saying ... "If you're gonna get hit in the face with a drone better at least be able to watch it and die laughing."

Here's the smashed face of Virgin billionaire Richard Branson ... moments after he bashed himself in the mouth with a tennis racket -- in a leisure activity gone bad.

Branson says he was playing a match on the tennis court at the insane Moskito Island resort in the British Virgin Islands -- when he took a swing and accidentally ate racket.

"I went for a lob…and somehow ended up smashing my two front teeth with my racquet! I’ve heard of tennis elbow, but this was tennis teeth. As you can see from the photo, it was not pretty."

Branson says he contacted a local dentist who fixed his grill -- and he was back out on the court the next day.

Meantime, check out the island resort where the accident went down ... it's good to be mega-rich.

Chance the Rapper Hospitalized ... Backs Out of Charity Gig

Chance the Rapper is suffering some sort of illness, and it's so bad he's laid up in a hospital.

Chance was scheduled to perform Monday at Night for NYC -- a Robin Hood charity event -- but canceled in the 11th hour. We've learned the organization fired off an email to all attendees less than 3 hours before doors opened ... to announce Chance was hospitalized, and Mark Ronson and Joey Bada$$ would take his place.

It's unclear what landed Chance in the hospital. His rep hasn't gotten back to us.

He's scheduled to release his third mixtape later this week, and just debuted a new single on the 'Tonight Show.'

Lamar Odom WANTED Hospital Pics on 'KUWTK'

Khloe Kardashian shot a bunch of photos and videos of Lamar Odom on life support -- but he signed off on them being used on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" ... TMZ has learned.

Sources closely tied to production tell us Khloe took the images of Lamar in his hospital bed, so she could "share with him his progress when he got better."

We're told when Lamar got better, Khloe showed him the images ... and HE decided he wanted them on the show.

As for Kim's declaration during Lamar's darkest days that the family did not have TV cameras in the hospital -- we're told that's true. The loophole is Khloe's smartphone ... which was used to take the LO images. But, again, we're told he had every opportunity to nix airing them.

50 Cent Makes House Call For Disabled Super Fan

50 Cent's not the cold-hearted prick he appears to be in that video with an autistic man -- so says a guy who got the best wedding present ever from him, weeks before the infamous airport incident.

The groom, named Chris Brown (yeah, we know) ... tells TMZ he was getting married at the Loews Hotel in Philly last month when word spread 50 Cent was also there. Brown found him and asked for a huge favor.

Brown's brother, Justin, is a Fiddy super fan who suffers from reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome ... which causes chronic pain and confines him to a bed. Brown says he asked 50 to meet Justin, who was in a room at the hotel.

He says 50 said he would "try" to make time, but had several events to attend ... so Brown wasn't sure it would happen. But lo and behold, the rapper showed up -- without an entourage -- and talked to Justin for more than 90 minutes.

Mind you, this was 2 weeks before 50 Cent's run-in with Andrew Farrell ... which Chris says is the exact opposite of his brother's life-changing experience.

Bryan was driving in Hollywood on Wednesday and says a lady driving a Jeep ran a red, causing him to veer.

The woman -- shockingly -- stuck around and she and Bryan exchanged info.

Bryan's feeling the pain today after suffering some bumps and bruises. The Vette wasn't so lucky. It's now a candidate for the junkyard.

Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan Hospitalized In Florida After Falling at Home

Wrestling legend Bobby "The Brain" Heenan has been hospitalized after falling at his home in Florida ... and his wife says he'll be there for a couple of days.

The 71-year-old was admitted to the hospital Wednesday morning due to injuries from the fall, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet ... but doctors are concerned about his blood pressure.

Bobby's wife, Cynthia, says he'll remain at the hospital for at least 72 hours.
