49ers rookie Ricky Pearsall was reunited Monday night with the first responders who helped save his life following a terrifying shooting incident last month ... and the scene was emotional.

It all went down just prior to San Francisco's tilt with the New York Jets at Levi's Stadium ... when Sergeant Joelle Harrell of the San Francisco Police Department and Dr. Lucy Kornblith, a surgeon at SF General Hospital, joined the wide receiver on the field for a show of appreciation.

Pearsall -- the Niners' 2024 first-round draft pick -- handed the heroes some signed jerseys ... before he gave them some big hugs. The trio then received a standing ovation from the huge crowd in attendance.

We're told the fallen film legend is having "major heart surgery" today after he first began experiencing chest pains at Rikers Island prison.

The injury photo shows a 4-centimeter-wide section of skin missing from Amy's right arm ... near her inner elbow ... and you can see her exposed tissue. The zoo owner's seen this too, and he claims this clearly shows the wound is not from a camel's bite.

Elton John is on the mend ... from a severe eye infection he says has left him with limited vision in one eye.

The "Rocket Man" singer shared a health update Tuesday on social media, revealing he's been dealing with an eye issue for some time now and is slowly healing.

Elton says his road to recovery has been "an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye."
