'Sharknado' Smells Blood and Sues ... Takes Bite Out of 'Shark-nado' Play

"Sharknado" is big business and its producers aren't about to let some theater company bite their style ... so they're suing to shut down a stage version before its first run swim.

The Asylum Co. just filed suit against Theatre Row Studios and several other people for allegedly attempting to put on a staged reading/rendition of the instant cult classic TV movie series. Asylum says the stage folks are promoting their version as "Shark-nado" ... and planned to perform it in Southern Cali.

According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, Asylum says Theatre Row's take is a straight ripoff which could hurt the real McCoy's bottom line if the court doesn't shut it down, stat.

The stage company isn't promoting the play right now on its website, but Asylum says the damage has been done with previous ads ... to the tune of $10 million!

We reached out to Theatre Row ... so far, no word back.

Tara Reid vs. Jenny McCarthy Epic Trash Talk Over Boobs & Bad Surgery

CROSSING THE LINE
SiriusXM

Jenny McCarthy and Tara Reid went off on each other -- live on the air -- when a 'Sharknado' promotion turned into a battle royale over fake boobs and gnarly plastic surgeries.

The showdown happened on Jenny's SiriusXM show Friday, and when she asked Tara if she had to get in shape for her role in 'Sharknado 4' ... things got nasty quickly. You gotta hear it.

Tara tells TMZ she "totally felt so bullied and attacked. It was very unprofessional." She says there's no history of bad blood with Jenny, but feels like "she just wanted to hurt my feelings and say things that would bother me."

Well, that definitely happened. The final dig as Tara walks out is awesome.

And this was no on-air stunt ... Tara says, "She definitely didn't apologize" after the attempted interview.

'Sharknado' Famous Prop Priced to Move ... Meaning, It's FREE!!!

If you're a 'Sharknado' fan with access to a tow truck or flatbed ... that cool RV used to blow up the latest windstorm of flesh-eating great whites is up for grabs!

The Asylum, the production company responsible for the franchise, listed the battle worn ride from 'Sharknado 3' on Craigslist. Asylum's landlord gave them 24 hours to move it or lose it -- so, we're told it's going to the first person who can get it off their lot in Burbank, CA.

The reason it's so trashed has nothing to do with flying sharks, and everything to do with a transient who recently set fire to the thing. Hence, the steal of a price. Asylum thinks the engine's still salvageable though.

C'mon, Ian Ziering ... think of it as a cool DIY project!

Gavin Rossdale Hey, It's Tara Reid!!!

NIGHT OUT ON THE TOWN
TMZ.com

Gavin Rossdale hit the club scene Saturday night, and spent a little time with "Sharknado" survivor Tara Reid.

Gavin and Tara were both leaving Hyde at around 2:30 AM when they chatted it up. It doesn't look like he was with her. It seems he left with another woman.

Brad Keselowski It Took 40 Takes ... To Nail 'Sharknado' Death

FINALLY NAILED IT!
TMZSports.com

For NASCAR star Brad Keselowski ... getting devoured by fake flying sharks is way harder than driving into a corner at 180 mph -- cause he told us his "Sharknado 3" cameo was actually a bitch to shoot.

The former Sprint Cup champ joined us on "TMZ Hollywood Sports" to talk about his epic death scene in the latest 'Sharknado' flick ... and dropped a bombshell.

Brad says it took him 40 to 50 takes to get it right, even though the scene is less than 10 seconds long! It's not what you think -- BK says he has acting experience. He just doesn't have "Sharknado" acting experience, and it's a totally different beast.

Check out what he learned about pouring on "the cheese."

Mark Cuban DeAndre Jordan Has Horrible Taste ... in Desserts

NOT ON MY WATCH!
TMZSports.com

DeAndre Jordan makes really bad choices ... is what Mark Cuban told us about the Clippers star who got away -- and he wasn't only talking about the infamous free agency flip-flop.

The Dallas Mavericks owner was out in L.A. Wednesday night, and we asked ... if DeAndre was on the open market again, would Mark bite? He responded with a funny metaphor about himself being able to dunk, but you can tell he's really saying ... HELL NO!

Then Mark took a bigger swipe ... at DeAndre's favorite dessert. Earlier this week, Jordan told us the butter cake at Mastro's Steakhouse was his jam. Watch how Cubes crapped on that too.

By the way, Mark had fans (even in L.A.) swarming and calling him, "Mr. President." How awesome was he in "Sharknado 3"?

Brad Keselowski 'Sharknado 3' Going to His Head ... Oh Hell No!!

OH HELL NO!

Brad Keselowski's played the role of NASCAR champion, and even NASCAR villain -- but his greatest role yet will be ... shark food.

Yes, the former Sprint Cup champ's got a meaty role in tonight's premiere of "Sharknado 3" ... and he's very proud of the work he put into what he calls, "a story that had to be told."

BK gave his fans a behind the scenes look with this video -- and even got co-star Ian Ziering and famed Thespian David Spade to co-sign on his performance. It's pretty hysterical.

And watch for the scene stealer in this clip ... Brad's teammate Joey Logano.

After you watch the movie tonight ... grade Brad's performance in the comment section. Y'know you're gonna watch.

Tara Reid I'm a Cashnado ... Rainin' Dollas On Drag Queens

Some L.A. drag queens should call FEMA ... earlier this week Tara Reid blew into a gay bar like a category 5 "Sharknado," bringing a torrential downpour of dolla bills with her.

Our drag sources tell us Reid rolled into The Abbey in West Hollywood for Lip Service -- the regular Monday all drag lip-sync show -- and dropped hundreds in GW's while they belted out hits.

We're told she doled out cash from the VIP booth and the performers were more than grateful for the extra green.

But a star can only sit and watch for so long ... she eventually got up and crooned with drag queen Vicky Vox.

California won't need rain for a while.

Tara Reid 'Sharknado 2' Was Cool But 3 Is Gonna Be ...

The parade of blood, guts, and 'C' list cameos known as 'Sharknado 2' was such a huge hit that Tara Reid says she's down for another sequel ... which is perfect! We've already got a rough draft -- "Sharknado 3: Is That a Hammerhead in Your Pocket, Or ..."

It's a VERY rough draft.

Tara Reid Seriously ... I Don't Believe in Sharknado Attacks

"Sharknado 2" star Tara Reid is no scientist, but she wants to clarify -- she has enough depth of knowledge about the deep to know a sharknado assault is fiction.

Reid was shocked when her GQ quote -- that sharknado attacks are "very rare" -- got taken seriously ... as if she believed it.

As for "Sharknado 3" -- she has the low down ... and tells us.

Ian Ziering Throws Tara Reid to the Sharknados Too

"Sharknado" star Ian Ziering landed in a seriously tight spot last night -- forced to choose between backing his co-star Tara Reid ... and his own payday for the sequel.

Ian and his wife were walking out of Boa when we posed the question ... "Would you like to have Tara back on Sharknado 2?"

Boom! Rock and a hard place.

As we first reported ... producers have already decided they want Ian, back for the sequel -- but Tara's sitch is not yet a lock.

This was basically Ian's chance to loudly proclaim he'd love to have Tara back ... even though that might rock the boat with producers who haven't reached out to her yet.

So, what do you think he did? Yeah, he totally left her for shark bait.

Tara Reid In 'Sharknado' S**tstorm

Tara Reid is coming back -- kinda sorta -- for the "Sharknado" sequel, according to producers, but it's not what they privately said less than a week ago ... TMZ has learned.

The honchos who made the shark flick had a big reaction to TMZ's story over the weekend, that Tara Reid won't be invited back for round 2. A rep for Asylum -- the production company -- tweeted, "@Tara Reid is awesome ... We'd be lucky to have her back for the sequel."

But we know there was a meeting last Wednesday in which Asylum exec David Latt talked about the sequel and zeroed in on the return of Ian Ziering -- and that's it. There's no script ... it's all conceptual, but the talk was all about Ian -- and NOT Tara. We're told the clear message was that she was out.

Latt now says if Tara doesn't do the flick it's because she's turned THEM down since the film has opened so many doors for her.

Don't get us wrong ... we really like Tara, and think she'd be fun in part 2.

Fin.

Tara Reid REJECTED From 'Sharknado' Sequel

Tara Reid's days of hunting airborne rope-climbing freeway-dwelling sharks are OVER -- 'cause we know producers are drawing up their cast wish list for the "Sharknado" sequel ... and she ain't on it.

Sources connected to the production tell TMZ ... producers had a meeting this past week to discuss plans for the New York-based sequel -- and the only actor they want back for round 2 is Ian Ziering.

Of course, Ian slaughtered more sharks than anyone in the original -- killing fish from Santa Monica to Beverly Hills and even into THE VALLEY!!

Tara played Ian's estranged wife in the flick -- and survived the massive shark attack (even when the sharks broke into her HOUSE!!) -- but Sharknado 2 is not in her future.

As for Ian, sources say both he and Tara scored around $50k for Part 1. Ian should rake in a lot more for the sequel. And good news ... we're guessing he's available.

Sadly, Tara knows a thing or two about rejection in Hollywood -- just ask the bouncers at Hyde.

Sharknado SEQUEL APPROVED Sharks to Invade NYC

Look out Manhattan ... THE FLYING SHARKS ARE COMING TO THE EAST COAST!!!!!

Syfy has officially greenlit a sequel to "Sharknado" -- the Ian Ziering/Tara Reid flick about sharks invading Los Angeles -- only this time, the great whites will touch down in New York City.

One of the honchos at Syfy released a deliciously cheesy statement saying, "Every once in a while, there is a perfect storm – on television. The fans are clamoring for a sequel. Or perhaps it will be a prequel."

"What we can guarantee is that Sharknado 2 will be lots of fun. We’ll be announcing more details very soon. But we didn’t want our fans to worry they wouldn’t get their fill of more shark fin, I mean, fun next year."

No word if Tara or Ian will be back for the sequel -- but both actors told TMZ they're 100% down to appear ... if they're asked.

'Sharknado' TV Attack of Awesome Awfulness

Laugh all you want at "Sharknado" ... but it will go down in history as one of the greatest godawful TV movies ever!

Otherwise know as -- that thing people got ridiculously passionate about for no good reason.

Tara Reid I'm Down for a 'Sharknado' SEQUEL!

The sharks BETTER THINK TWICE before getting back on the 405 freeway ... 'cause Tara Reid tells TMZ she's totally down for ANOTHER installment of "Sharknado."

Reid just called in to "TMZ Live" ... and told us she's blown away by all of the fanfare following last night's premiere of the SyFy flick.

"I'm just so glad that people saw the humor in it that I did ... because it's hilarious."

She adds, "This movie was so ridiculous, you know? Like it's almost so bad that it's good."

Tara says she's down to fight even more sharks if SyFy greenlights a sequel ... but it's clear, she's way more fired up about the Sharknado DRINKING GAME!"
