Jimmy Fowlie, a writer for "Saturday Night Live" whose sister has been missing for months, recently claimed cops told the family she's dead ... but Los Angeles police are calling that significant jump BS.

Here's the deal ... Christina Lynn Downer was last seen in L.A.'s Koreatown neighborhood four months ago ... and Jimmy has been giving updates on the search for her -- which included a jarring post yesterday stating cops allegedly told the family she's "no longer alive."

But now the LAPD is pushing back, telling TMZ ... “Robbery-Homicide Division continues to investigate the disappearance of Christina Downer. Although the circumstances of her disappearance are suspicious, Ms. Downer has not been located, and her case has not been reclassified as a homicide. RHD will diligently investigate this case until a resolution can be reached.”

In his latest post, Jimmy thanks everyone for their continued support and added ... "I'm gonna take a step back from social media due to the intense overwhelming feelings. Please take any info you may have directly to LAPD and not me."

We reached out to Jimmy for comment ... so far, no word back.

Courtney Stodden has a warning for people wanting to try Elle Woods' signature bend and snap move -- don't do it, or you might end up with a bloody head wound like hers!

The media personality and model hopped on Instagram late Thursday night to warn fans about the move after she dropped her phone and slammed her head into the edge of a counter while trying to pick it up. She says she hit the counter so hard, she split her head right open.

She posted the video after the incident ... clearly upset as dried blood was visible on her head and chest.

Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Mallory McMorrow has reportedly deleted thousands of tweets ... including some complaining about Michigan, the state she's running to represent.

The purge was reported Wednesday by CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski ... notably one year after the New York Post shared several of her eyebrow-raising X tweets. McMorrow was born in New Jersey, then spent time as a California resident. In an alleged 2014 tweet, she crapped all over Michigan, writing ... "Aaaand it's snowing. Screw you, Michigan. #NYCtoLA."

An alleged January 2017 tweet reads ... "There are days like these that make me miss California even more" in reply to a user who suggested "California should have its own diplomats" to "make sure we don't get nuked because of morons from the other side of the country."

Drew Dodson is breaking his silence after being accused of hooking up with Steven McBee Jr.'s girlfriend, Allie Eklund, and he's pushing back on the cheating claims.

Dodson addressed the drama in an Instagram Story, saying he hadn't planned to speak out but felt forced to after the situation "took on a life of its own" online.

Due to the timing ... MAGA supporters jumped all over Ben's X post, assuming that, since he's a Hollywood liberal who's been critical of President Trump in the past ... CLEARLY he must've been rooting on the gunman.

Cole Allen, the California teacher and video game designer who authorities allege fired gunshots at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, was pretty active on LinkedIn ... and his page gives some insight into his background.

Allen's bio describes him as a "Mechanical engineer and computer scientist by degree, independent game developer by experience, teacher by birth."

He graduated from Caltech in 2017 with a degree in mechanical engineering ... and when he was in college, he was a member of Caltech's Christian fellowship and the Nerf club.

Jake Reiner is opening up about the unimaginable pain of losing both of his parents in the same tragedy ... revealing he feels "robbed" of major life moments they'll now never get to see.

In a heartbreaking Substack post titled "Mom and Dad: The center of my life," Jake said the loss still feels surreal after both of his parents, Rob and Michelle, were killed the same day -- admitting he wakes up every morning hoping it was all just a nightmare.

The gut-punch line of the post centers on everything he says was stolen from him in an instant ... writing, "I was robbed of so many things that day. My parents won't be at my wedding, they won't get to hold their future grandchild, and they won't get to see me have the successful career I'm still seeking."

Clavicular has been booted from YouTube again ... the platform removed 2 more channels connected to the controversial influencer just months after it terminated his original account.

Clav regretfully shared the news with his fans on X Thursday, saying his @LiveWithClav and @ClavLooksmax accounts were deleted that morning "with no warning or explanation."

He said the channels "help empower young men to be the best versions of themselves" and that he and his team "worked hard" to follow YouTube's rules. He also asked fans to help recover his accounts.
