Former 'Voice' Contestant Cee Lo's No Sex Criminal

Published | Updated

Cee Lo is nothing but a professional, respectful gentleman ... at least on the set of "The Voice" -- so says a former contestant on the judge's team, who also happens to be female.

42-year-old Terisa Griffin -- who was eliminated from Cee Lo's team last week -- tells TMZ, "He was a lot of fun and even complimented me on my engagement ring. Cee Lo was extremely professional, not a drop of disrespect."

Teresa adds, "I was shocked to hear about the investigation."

As we first reported, Cee Lo is currently the target in a sexual battery investigation, after a woman claims the singer drugged her and then sexually assaulted her.

Cee Lo denies any wrongdoing.

Cee Lo No Top, No Problem

Cee Lo Green is stickin' with sexy black hot rods -- a classic convertible and looking cool as a cucumber.

"The Voice" judge -- who's tooling around L.A. today in the whip -- is under investigation by the LAPD for sexual battery, after a woman claimed he slipped her ecstasy at a restaurant and then sexually assaulted her back in July. She says she passed out in the restaurant and the next thing she knew she was naked in a bed with Cee Lo in the room.

The singer has adamantly denied any wrongdoing.

Cee Lo Accused of Sexual Battery Singer Calls BS

Published | Updated

Cee Lo Green is the target of an LAPD sexual battery investigation, TMZ has learned ... but the singer is adamant he did NOTHING wrong.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... a woman recently filed a police report with the LAPD, accusing "The Voice" judge -- real name Thomas DeCarlo Callaway -- of a sexual assault.

Our sources say detectives have already visited a restaurant in Downtown Los Angeles in connection with the case and questioned several employees, including the manager. We do not know if the alleged incident occurred at the restaurant.

The LAPD is mum on the identity of the alleged victim, when and where the incident allegedly occurred, and what Cee Lo allegedly did.

Cee Lo tells TMZ he categorically denies ANY wrongdoing. In fact, the singer says he hasn't been to the restaurant in question in 3 months ... and insists, "Nothing ever happened there or anywhere else."

We also spoke with a source who is constantly with Cee Lo ... who tells us, "I have never seen Cee Lo act in a physical way toward anybody."

The investigation is in its infancy ... no charges have been filed and the case has not been referred to prosecutors.

Cee Lo Endures Street 'Voice' Audition from TMZ Photog

Published | Updated

Cee Lo Green busted out "The Voice" spinning chair routine on the streets of NYC -- and he did it strictly for one unforgettable performance ... from our camera dude.

Our guy -- whose only previous singing experience (we're being generous) was at his Bar Mitzvah -- attempted to sing the classic 90s song "Cupid" by 112.

It only took a few seconds for Cee Lo to turn around -- just like they do on the show -- and declare ... our photog is 'Voice' ready!! Just not necessarily on Cee Lo's team.

Tough, but true.

Cee Lo Green Mariah & Nicki's Beef IS BOGUS

Published | Updated

"The Voice" judge Cee Lo Green is calling BS on Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj's fiery feud -- telling TMZ, we're in L.A. ... practically EVERYTHING is fake in this town.

Cee Lo had just finished lunch in West Hollywood yesterday when we asked if he thought Nicki and Mariah's "Idol" fight was legit -- and he said, "This is Hollywood, California. Hardly anything's legit."

As for a possible "American Idol" ratings boost following the Nicki/Mariah fight -- Cee Lo says he's not worried, claiming, "I'm not intimidated. I think it's entertainment for everybody."

'Voice' Contestant Vicci Martinez Her Guitars Gently Weep After Car Wreck

Published | Updated

"Voice" finalist Vicci Martinez was thrilled to walk away unscathed this week from a horrific car accident in Delaware ... but she was especially relieved her precious guitars were unscathed.

Martinez was leaving a radio interview to promote a benefit she was playing for a local children's hospital when she was rear-ended at a stop light.

Martinez -- who made the final four on season one of "The Voice" -- tells TMZ she was way more worried about the fate of her guitars than herself -- one of which was sitting precariously in a soft case on the back seat and the other in the trunk.

Amazingly, the guitar in the trunk was unblemished. Ditto the back seat strummer. As for Vicci, she was sore but uninjured.

The guitar went to good use ... the benefit raised $122,000.

Simon Cowell 'The Voice' is HAUNTING ME!

Published | Updated

Simon Cowell's big Hollywood party for "X Factor" was crashed last night by Christina Aguilera and the rest of the "The Voice" judges ... who rode in on a huge bus.

Poor Cowell was talking about tonight's premiere of his show ... when he was upstaged by a double-decker bus with a massive 'Voice' billboard on the side of it -- hysterical stuff.

Simon was a good sport about it though -- or really stupid -- since he pointed out the bus to cameras and then laughingly said, "That was timed."

Simon's misfortune continued later ... when we asked him about "The Voice" going head-to-head with "X Factor."

Our camera guy said, "May the best TV show win" -- and Simon made the poorly worded response ... "No. Let the 'X Factor' win."

We'll see who wins in the ratings, but "The Voice" is clearly in Simon's head.

Mark Burnett Simon Who?

Published | Updated

Mark Burnett -- the mastermind behind "The Voice" -- says Simon Cowell is delusional to think Mark is going head-to-head with the premiere of "X Factor" to steal Britney Spears' thunder.

Burnett tells TMZ ... he didn't even know NBC added "The Voice" to next Wednesday's schedule until we called to tell him. Burnett said, "There was never ever a meeting or a discussion of what my show was up against. The fact is ... it shows you where our minds are at and where others are because it literally never crossed my mind."

Burnett -- who also created "Survivor" -- tells us, "This is someone trying to read into something that doesn't exist."

Simon claims the folks responsible for "The Voice" have heard how good Britney Spears and Demi Lovato are ... so they're trying to keep the audience away from "X Factor."

And Burnett had this parting shot ... "I'm just glad we're on Simon's mind."

Simon Cowell 'The Voice' is Afraid of Britney

Published | Updated

Simon Cowell is furious at NBC for trying to sandbag next week's premiere of "X Factor" by adding a Wednesday installment of "The Voice" ... declaring, "This is a cynical, cold-hearted, unprofessional way of doing business."

Simon tells TMZ, he thought he had a "gentleman's agreement" with NBC ... that "The Voice" would run Mondays and Tuesdays, and "X Factor" would run Wednesdays and Thursdays on FOX ... so fans could watch both.

Simon says NBC is turning on its own audience, forcing them to choose between Christina Aguilera's show and Britney Spears' new show. And speaking of them, Simon says, "Britney's not going to appreciate the fact that Christina -- who has been a bit of a rival -- isn't allowing Britney to have a night of her own."

Simon tells TMZ, he believes the move is as personal as it gets, because "The Voice" came to England and went head-to-head with Simon's show, "Britain's Got Talent" and got its ass kicked.

Simon says, "These guys have really got it in for us. It's nothing short of dirty tricks."

Cowell adds, "The reason they've done this is they don't want people to see 'X Factor' because they've heard how good the series is. They don't want their audience to see Britney Spears. They don't want their audience to see Demi Lovato."

Simon says he doesn't think Britney knows yet, but when she finds out "She's going to be devastated because she's put her heart and soul into this."

As for Cowell, he says he's not scared, adding, "I can't bear it that the network is playing political games and playing with the audience."

'The Voice' Makes Big Move To Kill 'X Factor'

Published | Updated

NBC and "The Voice" are making a ballsy move to put an end to "X Factor" -- the network just pulled a last minute sneak attack ... rearranging its programming schedule next week, so "The Voice" goes head-to-head with its main competition.

NBC just announced it would be adding a third episode to next week's line-up, scheduled to air Wednesday night -- at the exact same time "X Factor" is scheduled to premiere.

The first two episodes of "The Voice" will air Monday and Tuesday nights.

NBC had previously scheduled "America's Got Talent" for the Wednesday prime time spot, but the network must be feeling confident in the new season of "The Voice" ... so it made a quick swap.

In case you didn't know, tensions between the two shows have been running pretty high -- "X Factor" creator Simon Cowell recently directed a couple "X Factor" rejects to audition for "The Voice." Burn.

So far, no word from "X Factor" honchos.

Animal Org. to Cee Lo Don't Whip Out Your Cockatoo on 'The Voice'

Published | Updated

Cee Lo is taking some serious heat over plans to rock out with his cockatoo out on the upcoming season of "The Voice" ... over concerns that stress from the show could cause the bird to self-mutilate.

The controversy stems from Cee Lo's recent announcement that he'll be replacing the pet cat who accompanied him during Season 1 with a Moluccan cockatoo named Lady.

But the move is causing some concern among bird activists -- because Moluccan cockatoos are endangered ... and are known to be extremely TERRIBLE pets.

TMZ spoke with Monica Engrebretson -- a rep for the animal rights org. Born Free USA ... who also happens to be an expert in all things related to the Moluccan cockatoo. She's also a HUGE Cee Lo fan.

Monica tells us ... "Moluccan cockatoos are beautiful, intelligent animals but they are very challenging to care for especially in the long term, and are prone to considerable welfare problems."

Adam Levine Shirtless & Tatted Up in Hawaii

Published | Updated

A beefier and hairier Adam Levine showed off his still buff and inked up moves like Jagger while in Hawaii the other day.

The scruffy 33-year-old enjoyed some down time from getting along, er, splendidly with his fellow "The Voice" judge Christina Aguilera to bask in the warm sun of Kauai.

Being quite the ladies man, you can bet the Maroon 5 singer got lei'd.

Simon Cowell's Advice 'X-Factor' Rejects Should Try 'The Voice'

Published | Updated

Simon Cowell thinks just because some singers are talentless, superstar wannabes not worthy to compete on "X-Factor" ... it does not mean they wouldn't be perfect for ... "The Voice." OH SNAP!

Sources who attended the Austin "X-Factor" auditions tell TMZ ... Simon and L.A. Reid came up with the brilliant idea to mess with the NBC show by convincing bad singers to audition for "The Voice" instead.

L.A. Reid was overheard on set telling one such wannabe, "If you decide to try out again, please do it on another show." To which Simon added, "Yes, the good news is I hear 'The Voice' auditions are happening next week."

Good one guys.

Ex-Mickey Mouse Clubber Christina Was in LOVE with Tony Lucca

Published | Updated

Christina Aguilera has it out for Tony Lucca on "The Voice" because he spurned her while they worked on The Mickey Mouse Club -- this according to a former Mouseketeer.

Ex-Mouse Clubber Dale Godboldo -- who starred on the 90s MMC revival alongside Aguilera and Lucca -- tells TMZ, Tony was pretty popular in his Disney days ... "Britney was in love with him. Christina was in love with him. Mylin was in love with him."

But Christina and Tony never hit it off -- and Dale believes she's carried a grudge ever since, claiming, "All of this [Voice] madness was not brought on by Tony."

You'll recall ... Aguilera harshly criticized Tony's "Voice" performance Monday night -- calling the rendition of "99 Problems" "derogatory to women." The two have been butting heads all season.

Hell hath no fury like a Mouseketeer scorned.
