Lin-Manuel Miranda's gonna need a rewrite on his smash hit musical "Hamilton" if President Trump gets his way ... or, at least, that's the 'SNL' take on the first week of his 2nd term.

The every-award-winning play and filmmaker made a guest appearance for the 'SNL' cold open, but just 30 seconds into his bit, he gets cut off by Trump -- played by James Austin Johnson. Lin-Manuel sings, "In America we will never have a king," perfectly teeing up Trump's line ... "Never say never. I'm in my king era."

'SNL's Trump says he's building a new America just like the founding fathers did -- "very whitely," and touts the death of DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) initiatives.

Bill Maher's like L.A. wildfire-levels of hot over accused murderer Luigi Mangione becoming a sex symbol and folk hero ... and he says young people who think shooting someone in the back is a good thing, are themselves guilty of something else.

On Friday night's episode of 'Real Time,' Bill scorched supporters of the man charged with murdering UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

Interestingly, he opened his "New Rules" segment by jokingly opining, "One hopeful thing did happen when we were on our break: a health insurance executive got shot in the back on the street in broad daylight" -- at which point, Bill paused and a few people in the audience cheered. Sarcasm ain't for everybody.

Storm Reid is finally explaining why she's not returning for season 3 of "Euphoria" ... telling us she's got too much going on in her life to reprise her role.

A&E, the network behind the popular docuseries, announced Wednesday the return of 'DD,' which has been rebranded as "Duck Dynasty: The Revival."

The new show will feature Willie and Korie Robertson and their now adult children, who were first introduced on the original iteration of "Duck Dynasty" back in the early 2010s.

Anthony Palumbo, a N.Y. state senator, tells TMZ ... today, he is re-introducing a piece of legislation that would change guardianship laws regarding family visitation in the state.

According to Palumbo, "Karilyn's Law" would allow families to visit loved ones by filing a motion with the court ... the guardian would then have 10 days to show the court if the person intending to visit is displaying inappropriate conduct -- and if not, they can visit.
